May 2011 Yo Ho Ho! Let Down Your Hair! (New 10/9 Lessons Learned #550)

thanks! I'm hoping the weather gets even better when I check tomorrow!:thumbsup2

When I went in February to Disneyland the weather report was so bad. Cold and raining. As we got closer to our trip the better the weather report got, and the good weather held. I hope it is the same for you.

So in the last days, I've saved over $450!!

I know in the Bible it says that when you give, more will be given back to you (ok, that is a loose intrepretation), but I always thought of it as emotional gifts/goodwill.

However, since I decided to not sell my big, beautiful crib but instead to donate it to a local church, I've:

1) saved $211.10 on the January Autotrain trip
2) saved $15 on the Disney pre-order photoCD
3) gotten $202 from my Disney VISA rewards credit card
4) traded in a $30 Safeway grocery gift certificate that I had for about 3 years for a Disney gift certificate redeemable in WDW

Now this may be all just a big coincidence. And I may not have been able to sell my crib anyway since it's a drop-side, but...I'm choosing to believe that God is blessing me and wanted to give my thanks publically to Him!!:cool1:

God totally rewards faithful giving! He's always providing in ways I would never think of for my family :) :cool1: for God getting in on the Disney magic :wizard: :goodvibes

I think you're right!!

Cool! If we are in that area, I will definitely go through and look for you! That'll be around 11am or so?

It should be a little after 11.
I LOVE your hair color!!!

Not sure how much I'll be on today/tomorrow, but had to come on just to look at my ticker!!

Just wanted to wish you safe travels! Have a great time and take lots of pictures so you can come back and give us all the details.

Hope you have an awesome trip and can't wait to hear all about it upon your return

:wizard:

Have a great trip!! And wave hi to Duffy for me!!

Thank you everyone for the well-travel-wishes!!

I am so very excited about the whole trip -- the train, the parks and Kidani.

My goal is to really "try" to keep this trip simple. Let the girls and Jerry lead the way and see what they enjoy -- AFTER the Pixar weekend on Saturday and Sunday!!:lmao:

But knowing me and my planning self...I'm not sure how long that will last!! (maybe until Tuesday?):rotfl2::rotfl:

You can do it!!

Hope you have a great, and safe trip! I can't wait to read all about it!

So last night I cried myself to sleep...I was reading this book called, "Mothers and Daughters ... a poetry celebration" and OMG -- it was a collection of poems from pregnancy, birth, infancy, baby, toddlerhood, child, teens, going off to college, go off to live on your own, engagements, weddings, work, your daughter having kids, you getting old, you getting alzheimers, you dying and final inspirations that you have left on your kids.

It was wonderful -- and a huge tear-jerker.

Made me definitely want to stop and just enjoy this Disney trip at a slower pace -- life is too short.

If you find this book at your library -- read it and weep!!

hey Marsha

I forget when you were coming home

So, are you home yet? popcorn::
