(I think I put this in the wrong spot, so hopefully am right now.)
I have been spending some serious time looking around these boards and many of the other sites and books for about a month now. That was when I was given the go-ahead to set a date for our next trip to WDW.
This trip will be different from the others mostly because of our location - we will be fully on property! We've stayed at Shades of Green, the Hilton, the Courtyard and Give Kids the World, but we've never stayed with a monorail. Grand Floridian, here we come.
Against all DIS'er rules, we are scheduled to pay full price for everything (but I am hoping that a %off room rate comes along for our week in May.) We were scheduled to get the free dining plan, but it happened to be during a non-sanctioned event week - we rescheduled.
I've got a fairly good outline for our meals (upgrading to deluxe dining to do alot of character meals - 6yo D, 4yo S). This will likely be the trip they care about them most. (I am also hoping it limits the time they would want to stand in line for autographs.)
B-Chef Mickey's
D-Ohana (not the luau)
B-Castle
B-Play & Dine
D-Via Napoli (for the pizza)
B-Ohana
L- Le Cellier
B-Crystal Palace
MK will have the majority of our time; AK will probably be skipped this trip. I'm hopeful that we'll do more at EPCOT than just Spaceship Earth (tho we will be sure to ride that) and more at the Studios than just Playhouse Disney (we will be watching that, too).
I've seen some incredible pages for autograph books and passports that I am going to try and put to good use (I'm glad I know my local printer).
We will be celebrating our princess' (almost) 7th b-day - so will be getting her button at check-in and ordering the slipper dessert, but I want it to be for all of our kids, so will need to email the cake people directly once I have the ADR.
In all of my visits to Disney, I have never had a DoleWhip - it's on the list... below his funnel cake, but on the list.
I'm in an ok spot right now - will be better once the ADR's are made.
Thanks to everyone on the DISboards for some great info.
Now a question - if you meet up with friends could that be considered a Magical Gathering and open up some of the special event things?
