May 2008 Waitlist Thread

I'm taking a short trip with DH May 5th through the 8th. I've got BWV preferred view right now ( studio ) I'm on a wait list for Boardwalk view or AKL Savannah view.

Your family is so cute! I'm at SSR right now, which I love and don't mind at all. My sister and her family are camping at Fort Wilderness those dates and it is my nieces' first WDW trip. I thought meet up and stuff would be easier if I moved to VWL, but so far no luck.

We are waitlisted for Boardwalk Standard 1-bedroom for night of May 1st. We have the prior five nights but decided to stay and extra day. Can't change flights unless waitlist comes through. Here's hoping for a truck load of pixie dust for all waitlist-ers!

Is it safe to assume that unless I find someone with an existing ressie that I don't have any shot at getting any studio in May ? Are contemplating a last minute trip and I'm trying to figure out if there's anything available.

Not a DVC owner, but rented last year and LOVED the DVC experience, while I won't complain about the chance to go back to the world, will be a little bummed out if we can't stay at a DVC resort.

Just checked and our waitlist has come through We now have a total of 10 nights at BCV.
Our original booking was for a value studio at AKV - hope that vacancy pleases someone.

I'm debating taking myself off the waitlist for the AK Savannah View. Our May trip will be our first as DVC owners and BWV will be our home resort. I guess my DH should at least see it...

We're on the waitlist for BCV for May 1-4...we just booked today and it seems like everything was full! We'll be at SSR, which is fine, but hopefully the waitlist will come through.

I'm still waiting on VWL Studio for May 4 - May 9. Hopefully there will be some cancellations as we come up on the thirty day mark here in a few weeks. Got my fingers crossed!

Still waiting for BWV 5/18-5/22 Boardwalk View. I think I may call and change it to a waitlist for 5/22-5/23 preferred view instead, I might get lucky then.

Don't give up! My parent's WL for a studio at VWL for May 4th just came through, two weeks after mine did. We are coming up on the 30 day mark and cancelations tend to occur then. Good luck!

We're booked at SSR May 8-12 for a studio. We were hoping to stay at OKW since there might be 4 of us going. We're waitlisted for OKW.

Problem is...with the new banking rules I can only bank through the end of March so if the wailist does not come through in March, I'll just forget about it. Staying at OKW is 8 points less then SSR, and I don't want to lose 8 points.

I intended to post this yesterday!

I was waitlisted for a studio in any of the 4 booking catagories for May 2. We were able to get a MUCH cheaper flight going down for our 7 night sat to sat trip in 2br at AKV on Friday night after work so we tried to book a studio at AKV and none were avail. We were booked at OKW in the mean time.

Well, today I looked at DVCmember.com and our waitlist came thru for the night in a Value studio

It was even less points than the OKW studio
Just had to share!

I'm on the wiatlist for a BW view studio or 1 BR at BWV from May 29-June 1st.

When I called they had everything but the night of the 29th (of course the 30th & 31st are weekend nights, so I was pretty sure they'd be available.

I am booked at VWL now, but hoping the wl comes through. Although I ahve to call, since I decided to fly down Wed. night instead of early Thurs., so I have to add another night.

You were right, Aunt Michelle...wow...wow...WOW!!! Just checked dvcmember.com and our waitlist for May 1st, BWV 1-bedroom standard came through! I am jumpin' for joy!

We currently have a Savannah View Studio booked for AKV Sept 21 - 25, and are on the waitlist to upgrade to Club Level. No luck yet.

I called Monday for a studio at any resort for May 5-8. Nothing was available at any DVC resort! I was waitlisted for a studio at any DVC resort. Saratoga came through one day later! I thought it was strange that every studio was taken. However, they told me that I could book a studio for cash....
