OMG-My DH and I talked the other day and we are for sure going May 23 through June 1 or 3.I'm so excited. The only thing is for the last 3 times we have gone we used the DDP and we decided to skip it this yr.Since we are only going for a wk (we usally go 2 wks)we didn't want to waste park time eating in TS so were just going to to eat CS this time. Now we just have to decide where to stay.We would like to stay on property but we need some type of code or room discount. I looked at past codes and rates and I think around February is when they will announce any discounts for May and June.I mainly worried about airfare the prices are still really high out of Illinois and I'm hoping they will come down some since there are 4 of us flying. There are plenty of hotels around disney so I'm not to worried if we have to wait to book until March or so.

We haven't booked our trip yet, because we aren't 100% certain about which resort yet, so will I not get an email about codes when they come out? I have signed up on Disney's website and signed up for the planning DVD and gotten the customized maps...

The only times I've ever gotten an email regarding resort discount codes is for Annual Pass discounts through my Annual Pass email.

Rarely I have gotten "General Codes" emails, but 99.99% of the time I've read about the discounts HERE on the DIS first, often days in advance of any official notice from Disney.

Just keep checking in here, because someone WILL post here about them the second they get released.

Planning a grand gathering and hoping to go the end of May (and hoping for a code!! ) Any idea on how busy the week of Memorial weekend is usually? We went to Star Wars Weekend in June last year, but read they are sometimes in May..is this true? Anyone know when they are? Thanks!

Hey fellow Nebraskan!

We are going over Mem. Day too and I was told that it will be busy that weekend but then start to thin out. We are use to going in the summer months and were told it's not quite that busy.

Hey there pkasbohm! Don't know if you knew this but, I read in the Omaha paper that Southwest Airlines will be having direct flights to Orlando out of Omaha now, I think only direct flights in fact. I am pretty excited about that! We have flown with Northwest and American and now looking to give Southwest a try. Thought I'd let you know! Good talking to ya!

That is good to know We usually fly out of Kansas City for a few different reasons but the main one is becuase they have always had a non stop flight. I will have to price them both.

Is anyone else here waiting for flights in May with JetBlue? I posted on the transportation thread but no one could help me. I'm just getting frustrated because JetBlue hasn't released yet for May.

We think we are going to drive (just because it is cheaper) and plus my husband and I are still pretty young so the 15 hour drive actually doesn't bother us... good bonding time. But if JetBlue were to come out with a good rate we would look into it!
