May 2007 TR

Yay!!! I'm first, I'm first!

Excellent installment. Though we haven't had the chance to stay at AKL yet, we've visted/eaten there twice, and I am in love with it! I am hoping to fit it in next time. You have such a wonderful spirit and way of capturing the moment in words-- kudos to you!

Though I am sure being the only daughter w/ sooo many brothers can be challenging, it seems you have a great relationship with them! Very sweet.

Can't wait to read more-- keep up the great work!

Thanks for the update! AKL is one place I haven't stayed at yet that I would like to stay! The Poly is also my favorite! PO is my second favorite.

Nicki looks like she is having a great time!

Emma,

I'm sure glad I ate lunch before reading about all that yummy AKL food! But am I reading correctly? Did you consume three chocochinos and a coke??

Oh my goodness! If I drank that much caffeine in one day, I would be so jittery! :hyper:

The AKL is so gorgeous... thanks for the vivid descriptions!!

Kathy

**P.S. Tricia is so anxious to find out what you think of her dolls and hoping you will reply.

(When did I lose control :confused3 )

I'm loving your trip report!
First, when do you get the AP results? Isn't it sometime this month? You HAVE to tell us how badly you "failed."
Second - STOP SAYING FURRIES! Do you watch CSI? There was this really icky one about a plushy and furry convention. :scared: Let's just say these people would NOT get hired at Disney.
Everytime I read it, I cringe inside.

But other than that, I love it!

Nemo - I love the movie too, but the queue is NOT fun when it takes FORever to get through. I was there about a week before you and waited probably 40 minutes to get on the ride. It is neat how it keeps changing - and you think "Oh! I'm almost there!" but then you're not.
little dude is squirt. She seems like a boy. But I think she's a girl. But a girl played Nemo when I watched the stage show at AK. So I'm all gender confused.
I was disappointed with the ride. I had it so built up in my mind - especially the part where they are superimposed over real fish - that seeing it was just kinda :confused3 . I wish they had more scenes of them with the real fish.

I did, however, enjoy the new Mexico ride. And I was a huge el rio de tiempo fan.

What's SSE roulette?

(Hi marita!)

I'll read the last update after my meeting. (I've been dising all day at work - I'm evile!)

Ok. I'm now officially caught up. I don't think I'd like an AG doll, but I would LOVE! to have Coconut. I have a westie at home name Riley and he would love having another friend.
I used to live with an Old English Sheepdog, so of course I have a Max (from the little mermaid - see my signature) as well.
Hmmm.
Maybe I'll order coconut for myself later.

Oh yeah - I was looking at the americangirl website - there is a goat! You should buy one for Nicki!
It's a baby goat named Sombrita.

Tricia - that store looks like a lot of fun!

Loving your report so far! The Poly & AKL are two of my favorite resorts! And I wish my hair looked that good at WDW!

I love how you describe the different fireworks displays!

makes me even more antsy to see them ... :/

...and living the good life in AKL concierge!:snooty: NICE!

You've done some great photo shoots with Nikki - I don't think that Molly would care for the trip, sadly enough.

and as a side note for everyone who has commented on the AG dolls, and might be considering getting one, do! I received Molly back when Pleasant Company first started - she was one of their original dolls and was a constant companion for several years. We even had some of the matching outfits! They're great quality dolls, the accompanying books (at least for the historically based dolls) are fabulous and they're just a lot of fun. Worth every penny!

Love reading your reports. My grandfather always said "never write anything you wouldn't want the whole world to read." So, you family would be very proud of you! ;) Your trip report is great and I look forward to reading more! Now, I need to get on the ball and start workign on my pre-trip report. Of course we're not going for another 200+ days.... :(

:earsgirl: :earsgirl:
Hey Tricia!! Sorry it took me awhile to respond! I LOOved your pics of Cathy and Jess (Nicki is now dying to meet them) ;) And I totally get the no-face-photo's rule (that applies to me too!). Cathy is GORgeous, but I still think you should take Jess. Jess is really cute too (her bob looks adorable!), plus she hasn't been anywhere, PLUS if you leave Cathy at home, that means she'll STAY gorgeous!

For hairstyles, you could also try a ponytail veil on Jess...it's kinda hard to describe, but I could probably find you a diagram...OR you can bring some ribbons to make into headbands!

I am definantly bringing Jess to Disney!!!!!:cool1: and I'll be sure to try and make some headbands.........but........ Jess' hair is to short for a ponytail veil too [and thanks for the help with the diagram but I have one of those doll hair books already!]

And by the way, Nicki looks GORgeous too!!!!!:earsgirl:

Tricia

I have yet to check out the AKL.... we will be next time because we are thinking of joining the DVC and making the AK villas our home resort...

Tanya

AGPrincess.... loved the AKL report and the photos! It looks SO beautiful there. Did you get to see some of the animals as well or were they all in hiding because of the rain?

Tricia... Cathy and Jess are very pretty! Thank you for the link, I'll be checking it out even though there are no Canadian girls :teeth: I do have a little granddaughter who one day soon might enjoy a doll like this :)

Kathy.... Hate to break it to you, but you've NEVER had control  :rotfl: Ok maybe you did when they were small enough to stay where you put 'em, but not now! :teeth:

Hi Emma,

Princess ArieL wanted to share her pic from her birthday lunch at the American Girl Cafe in NYC.

I am still trying to decide if I will allow her to take Marisol, but I can say it looks like a 75% possibility with your tips.

I love this report! You have done a great job!! I can't wait to read the rest!

We are going in Sept. to AKV (we became members there in Feb.), and DH & I are taking my mom & dad (haven't been on a vacation with them in almost 10 years. . .before we were married!). I am so excited, and your description of AKL made me even more ready to go!!

Love the Nicki pics! I am a collector of Lumpys (the Heffalump from Winnie the Pooh). I have several different ones, and they travel the parks. Sadly, Lumpy has his own WDW scrapbook (yes, I'm sad! :rotfl2: ).

Emma,

Love the tr. You are such a talented writer! Can't wait to read the rest.

My dd is 6.5 and I want to get her an AG doll for a combined bday/christmas present since her bday is around tgiving. We love AG, they are such beautiful dolls. Now she is going to want to take it on our trip next May after seeing your pictures. Those were awsome rules/tips for taking the doll to the parks. Thanks!
