MAy 2003 wdw trip Part 1

So we get up at 1230am chris takes a shower and I get shawno PJ's and all in to car. When chris gets out we are ready to go its 1am shawno and I fall asleep and Chris drives we wake up around 7am and we are almost outta NJ Shawno is A DREEAM IN THE CAR !!! no tantrums, no naughtys, it was amazing!! We arrive on the florida /Georgia border at 8pm get a place at the Best Western( i have a coupon ) I am shocked at the time we have made and cant beleive it. We decided to grab some food at Applebees and then turn in for the night Shawno is so excited the look on his face during this trip is priceless and all those who said it would be a nightmare getting down to Fl and at the parks is so WRONG ! Before I turn in I call my mom and dad and check in let them where we are make sure they have the cell number stuff like that. I also call the best western at Daytona Beach ( chris loves the beach he used to come here every year with his grandparents ) I get us a room there for Sunday and I have you guess a coupon. We get a great room on the beach it was fantastic we spent all day at the beach went out for dinner at this buffet place called Staceys (chris used to go there with his family) I have to say I didnt like it or the food but he loved it and it made me happy he was happy. I was growing more and more restless about WDW and just couldnt wait to get there! After dinner we go back to the room change into our suits and walk the length of the beach it was so amazing. the sunset was priceless, Shawno couldnt believe all the jellyfish on the sand and now that the cars were off the beach it was great. I loved the beach but didnt really care for the cars on it during the day we put ourselves down on the shore line and it was great. Chris and Shawno made a castle so I went up to the hotel pool and took a dip I had the pool to myself and it was great. We went back to the room had some snacks and got ready for bed we also went over some ground rules with Shawno about tomorrow and what we were gonna go. We got Shawno to sleep and spent some time packing and getting everything ready to go in the morning.

I am enjoying your drive down. You need to tell me what coupon was it entertainment book ?
Thanks we are leaving in 13 days. THinking of driving to Daytona too but didn't know where to stay that is safe and affordable. Please tell me.

We got coupons in every state by stopping at the rest stops and just grabbing one of the books
In Daytona we stayed at the Best Western at the end of the beach ( the quiet side) and got a great rate of under $49 with taxes it was nice before going to Disney
