I had to Google it and figure out what you were talking about. So funny I saw those fish extenders on my first cruise and had no idea what they were. Im totally in on the FE. I will get one for my moms room next door and she will participate as well

For those on the 5/2 and 5/6 cruise(s) who may be interested in spending time on land near the port, Bayside Marketplace and Downtown Miami are a short taxi ride from the port, while Miami Beach and South Beach are farther away.

Bayside Marketplace is very close to the port, has shops and restaurants (Bubba Gump, Hard Rock Cafe, Hooters and many more) as well as harbor cruise options. This may be of interest to anyone prior to embarkation, or after disembarkation:

Hi there, this will be my first dc and I was wondering if any of you know if we have a pirates night aboard this cruise and what princesses I can expect to see in the meet and greet. Also can any one explain to me how the rental of cabanas in Cast away cay work? I heard that other cruisers get dibs on them first, if so is there ever any chance for a first time cruiser like myself to actually get one?

Ok reposting....who would LOVE to share a cabana on Castaway Cay with myself and my hubby. We're a 50 something couple and looking for same to share a cabana We're Silver members so hoping I can reserve one and would love to share and split the cost with another couple

Cabanas are already gone, but sometimes they pop back up. keep checking

Ok so who is contemplating staying the night before and where are the best places to stay? Im having a hard time finding a place either by the airport or near the Biscayne Mall where are the nice shops are. Any suggestions? Ones that have a cruise port package and a free continental breakfast are preferred

I'm getting married in September, and while DF is off in Vegas with his buddies for a bachelor party, my mom and I are whisking ourselves away on our FIRST Disney cruise! We have been to WDW, DL and DP so are definitely mouse enthusiasts, and are so excited to finally try the cruise.

I've been reading about FEs and am intrigued - but I'm curious, is this generally something only parties with children participate in?

Also, besides preparing a meeting point beforehand, is there anyway to distinguish fellow Dis-ers on the cruise? No buttons, ribbons, etc that I could wear/look out for? Figured it would be a great conversation starter!

The FE is for everyone with or without kids....we currently have 5 cabins signed up.

Greetings to everyone!

My husband and I will be cruising to celebrate our 12th anniversary. We're looking forward to some great fun in Key West and an awesome Castaway Cay day.

We'll be staying in Miami for a couple of days beforehand at the Intercontinental, which was surprisingly cheap! We'll also be driving down to the upper Keys for some pre-cruise fun.

If anyone happens to be spending a little time in Miami, there's a Groupon for the hop-on, hop-off bus tour that's valid until 4/30/12. There's also one for a glass-bottom boat tour in Key Largo if you will have a car.

Welcome to our group PearlieQ!!! Was looking at the port of Miami a few minutes ago and it said it was 80 degrees!!! ahhhhhh Would be great to be leaving from there today~!!!

Hello! My husband, young toddler, and I will be on this cruise. I am beyond excited! It's our first cruise as a family. I am in interested in participating in FE.
We are originally from Florida so it will be great to visit again. Looking forward to a super time! Any advice or feedback on anything would be great. I'm trying to take as much information from these boards as possible.

Hello! I was all excited to hear that my family wanted to come with us on this Cruise. I checked and sadly it's already sold out. I guess this is the reason we did not get the kids sail free promo for this trip

I just checked and oceanview and verandahs are still available....since the price has not increased since opening day I am pretty sure there is still a lot of availability.
