May 2, 2009~~~Magical MAYniacs!~~~ 7 day Western....Updated, April 3,2009!!

I'm an accountant at a CPA firm and we are in the full swing of tax season. I'm already getting stressed and it helps to come here and look at the cruise pix. So now you know why we chose THIS cruise! :rotfl: Can't wait to meet you all!!

Hi CrazyBoutDisney,

I'm a CPA too! I know EXACTLY how you feel! I definitely understand your pain. We vacation the end of April/1st week of May every year. It's my reward to my family for making it through tax season. They have to put in extra effort too, so we all deserve it!

I can't believe we are almost to the 75 day mark! I better find some time to pick excursions!

Michelle

I have a quick question for the experienced cruisers: we're undecided about excursions on one of the days. How difficult is it to cancel an excursion reservation once you've made it, and is there any penalty?

There are special dinners on the last 4 nights of the cruise - master chef, pirates of the caribbean, capt's gala and 'til we meet again. Our Passporter had sample menus for each night, so I let DD rank which nights she most wanted to go (since she can't come to Palo). Not surprisingly, Pirates night and 'Til We Meet Again night were her two must-haves, along with Animator's Palette.

I have one worry about Palo ressies, and I'm hoping that some of the experienced cruisers can answer my question. We all really want to go to Animator's Palette, but what if the night we get for Palo ends up being our night for AP? What do we do then? Other than trying for one of the nights late in the cruise, is there any way to reduce our chances of getting Palo tickets for that night?

Regarding Palo...first of all, you find out your dinner rotation immediately upon checking in. On your room/key to world card, it will have a bunch of letters (for example: LPALPALP) which indicates in this example you'll start in Lumiere's, then Parrat Cay, then Animators. If you need to switch your Palo, you'll be able to do so immediately upon boarding by going to Rockin' Bar D which will have Palo reps there for changes, etc. I know some people have tried to request a certain dinner rotation so that they are in Parrot Cay on Pirate Night, etc.

Hope that helps:confused:

PINK:

It is not difficult to cancel or rebook an excursion. You can make changes online (but run risk of some being booked up). Or, just like Palo, you'll be able to make changes at Shore Excursion Desk on Deck 3 (i think) up until the day before your excursion. Anything I could help you out with decision-wise???

Good luck:)

If we are doing Palo on the Pirates In The Caribbean Dinner night what will we get? Palo's dinner menu or the PITC menu?

You get the Palo menu. If you eat at Palo early enough you can enjoy the buffet at Pirate night...............:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When I saw the update in my email all I could see was the top which had the 43 weeks :rotfl2: Was thinking....what???

Can't wait to book our excursions tomorrow night!!!

Thanks, hdpals. We're not entirely settled with our Grand Cayman choice and wanted to know if we could change it if we change our mind about it.

I'll be right there with ya!!:woohoo:

Count me in, too!:thumbsup2

Today we have 76 DAYS!!!!

Yesterday we had 11 WEEKS!!!!

DW has changed a couple of her excursions already. LOL

We got our flights booked and the DCL bus set up.

Got my excursions tonight:woohoo:
Mexican Cuisine in Cozumel
Shipwreck and Reef Snorkeling in Grand Cayman
Wasn't able to book Palo brunch anytime during cruise!?!!:confused3

We were able to book ours also:

Palo -dinner- day 4

Mexican Cuisine Workshop - Cozumel
Aquaboat & Snorkel Tour - Grand Cayman
Parasailing (for me only)- Castaway Cay (10:30-11:30)

Finally living on the west coast has a time perk! When we booked Cinderella's Royal Table at WDW, I had to get up at 4:30 am (7:30 Florida time) to book. This time I was already awake. Hooray!

We got what we wanted, which wasn't too much. A 6:30 Palo reservation for Key West day (we are hoping to renew our vows that day, so a romantic dinner is definitely in order) and the Exotic Rasul treatment for the sea day on Thursday   . We booked it at 2:00, which is perfect since it won't conflict with anything (like sleep or dinners) and the kids can go to the club. Hooray!

We are doing all the other excursions on our own, so we didn't need to book those. I hope everyone else did well!

We also got what we wanted: :woohoo:

Key West - Back to Nature Kayak for Emilie and me
Grand Cayman - Reef Stingray City snorkel for all of us
Cozumel - Tulum Ruins

I didn't see the banana boat rides for CC on the website. Does anyone know if they've been discontinued or if you have to book them on board? Emilie really wants to book one.

We were able to book ours also:
Palo -dinner- day 4
Hey Laura, we also got Palo for day 4. :cool1: What time is your reservation? Ours is at 6:30 pm.

Also, does anyone know about the Palo High Tea? We couldn't book it. Will we be able to book it when we board?

One step closer to sailing. It's all starting to seem pretty real.

I believe the Banana Boat has been discontinued, perhaps someone else will know for sure.

Our Palo was booked for 7, then I changed it to 6:30 and then back to 7:00.........so 7 it is!

If you check as soon as we board I believe that we may be able to book High Tea and/or Brunch. Apparently they save some of those spots for when we board, also I would assume that some people will change stuff around.

Glad that you got everything!
