May 2, 2009~~~Magical MAYniacs!~~~ 7 day Western....Updated, April 3,2009!!

Hi everyone :wave2: Just checking in to see how everyone is doing from here in Vegas. I cant believe that we only have one day left here...tomorrow:eek: But we are having a blast. We went and saw the Excalibur show and Mystere. We even found a Disney Outlet store :woohoo: What more could we ask for :confused3 We have tried for the first time "In-And-Out Burger" oh that place is so yummy!! they have the best and cheapest burgers around. I only wish we had one in Florida :rolleyes1
Today we went out to Red Rock Canyon and that was nice...we did the drive around and only walked down a little on one trail but it was too hot out there to do too much walking. I of course got a lot of GORGEOUS pics though :lovestruc
Its hot here but i honestly do not mind it one bit. I thought it would bother me more than it is but I am finding that I like it a lot better than the Florida humidity:thumbsup2 Its like 108 degrees outside but to me it doesnt feel as hot as Florida (because it lacks the humidity) so I dont mind...but what I do mind is that in everyplace that you go into its FREEZING cold, so you have to go outside to thaw out. :scared:

Hey mom how are you holding out up there for Fay??? I hope all is well. You too Zerog..hope all is well for you since you are up there as well with mom in having the storm hit now :goodvibes

Dad if you go to the link that I think was in the first post that I posted here about the FE's then you should find the info mom posted (I believe that it was on the same link right??) Its what I was saying about adding the mickey ears to the dowel ends ;)

Well I better go for now. I think we are either going to Chilis for dinner or Chipotle Mexican Grill...not sure which one. Its funny that for Most of you all its amost 9pm and for us here in Vegas its only almost 6pm. Well I hope all is well...Talk to you all more later.

Mom & Dad- Love and miss ya

Hey Tazgirl

It's STILL raining! :sad2: They've had over 8" of rain in Melbourne. The good news is things should start clearing up tomorrow afternoon. However, school is cancelled again tomorrow.

Speaking of Vegas and hamburgers, I liked the Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. popcorn::

Have a safe trip back.

Hey Zerog, you still have power! :cool1: I hope the rain and storms are over soon (doesn't it have some crazy name like "Fang"? :confused3 ). As for the school thing, what a way to start the year, eh?

Tazgirl, you're so lucky to have gone to Vegas when you did! Sounds like you're having a great time. We tried In-and-Out burgers a few years ago when we went to San Diego and DL. They're all over California. I thought they were pretty good. DH, who loves a good hamburger, thought they were terrific. TTFN and I'll see you on the boards when you get back.:cool2:

Good Morning

The forecast today is rain, rain, and even more rain.....

Did I mention RAIN?

Its not raining too hard, but it is steady. We've had more rain in 2 days than we normally get for the entire month of August.

OK, its almost 9pm at nite and its STILL raining. OMG, is this ever going to stop!?

So far, the street is doing a good job draining all the water. However, there is now standing water in the grass. Our ground is at saturation. :scared:

Oh my gosh, Im tired of the rain and wind. Ive been out of my house for three days. This storm is so slow, I wish it would go through and get over with. We was in the eye all day today and it was calm. So I hurried up and checked my trailer. The carport is gone but the trailer is finezgirl, so far. Well its one more night, I hope only one more night. Then maybee we can go home.

Im glad your having a nice time Tazgirl. Im waiting to see pictures when you get home. You know how I am with Pictures. Gotta have them. Thanks to all for your concerns. Our internet is on and off here so I check when I can. Hope all is well with you Zerog.
:worship:

Thank goodness , I dont have any kids in school anymore but I cant get back home untile this is over since I live in a trailer. When the eye was over us for hours, I snuck home and took a shower. So Im clean. hehhehe :thumbsup2
Its worse tonight then it has been so far. Its just to dark to see whats going on, but I can hear alot. WE will find out in the morning. They say it will be getting better tomorrow. Thank goodness.
:rolleyes1

Good Morning
It rained all night long and I could hear it on the windows with all the wind. This morning it is still raining, but not as hard. The joke around here is that we're no longer measuring the rain in inches, but feet. One town actually got 30". To put it in perspective, they say we usually get 5 inches of rain for the entire month of August. The storm appears to have stalled again SE of Daytona Beach. Fay actually gained a little strength yesterday, since half of the storm is over the warm water. Meanwhile, the kids are still out of school.

Good Evening
Are you getting tired of my Fay updates?

So far, I think my county has seen the worst of the storm. Who would have thought that a tropical storm hitting the west side of the state would cause so much trouble on the east side! We've always worried about a direct hit from the Atlantic Ocean.

It's been raining on and off over the last few hours, but mostly light stuff. Nothing like the constant heavy downpour we experienced for hours on end. The standing water in my yard has mostly receded.

I ran into an acquaintance at the grocery store and he told me that water had seeped into his house. He had just put down wood floors (laminate) and all his carpets are soaked.

Many streets are underwater; you can't drive through unless you have a truck.

So now Fay is going to cut back across the state again. I think those to the north of us will be okay unless this storm decides to stall again.

I am glad that mostly everyone is safe from Fay...

We just got home tonight WHEW what a long flight!! we were on the airplane all day long so we are just happy to be able to get up and walk around now :thumbsup2 We had a brief stop in Tampa before heading on home and it was pouring there when we stopped and actually we could see the bands from Fay from the airplane on the way into Tampa.... Thankfully though there isnt too much damage done...It could have been a lot worse and I am thankful that everyone is safe

Good Evening
Are you getting tired of my Fay updates?
Oh, so it's Fay, not Fang!:rotfl:

I'm glad to hear it's settling down and everyone's safe - and that you're not all underwater. Best to save the snorkel gear for the cruise, eh? :fish:

I was beginning to believe that Fay wanted to set up housekeeping here in Brevard county. I swear, it got over us a couple of times and Stoped. Seeing the sights, I guess. Well Someone, Give it a push. We are tired now. I got tired of waiting and went home. Its still raining and some winds but hey, Im tired of being gone from home, I will put up with it.
:umbrella:

Hey everyone...

Well I didnt think that Fay had hit here that bad or caused too much Chaos around here until we tried to go out today...to the bookstore and Target, Boy was I wrong. Flooding everywhere!! I took tons of pictures from my iphone. There were quite a few stalled cars as well since most tried to battle thru the water and got stuck. Thank goodess we have the Jeep and was able to get around a little better but YIKES I guess we have some flooding issues as well, the bad part is that it is still raining off and on

I hope that it stops soon because if not...we are going to need canoes to get around :lmao:

I know what your saying Tazgirl. Did you see the pictures I put on the walmart site? Alot of our roads is flooded. We went down one in a van and thought we was gonna have water all inside. It was hight up on it. Some trees are down and we have no carport anymore. It stoped over us for two days. It was horrable. We are finally today getting some dry. Some, its still raining off and on. Not as bad though.

I am in PA and we gets lots of rain from these hurricanes once they come on land and up the Ohio River Valley. Ivan was the worst for us back in 04. So I know what you guys are feeling. I sure am glad hurricane season is only for a period of time and I hope that you guys dry out real soon.
