Yes, we are doing the four night cruise first then the 19th will start our second portion. This will be our 13th and 14th sailings with Disney and our first B2B. We are celebrating my Dad's birthday on the 20th!

I will be on the 8th deck as well! An inside split bath by the elevators. I hope it's a good stateroom. No noise.

Hey everyone :goodvibes

A quick question to all you previous cruisers

Is it worth trying to get into Palo?

I'm thinking that it probably isn't for a first timer who is only on a 3 day as I would really like to try all three of the restaurants on the rotation

What do you think?

Linda :)

Hello all! I will be joining you on this cruise as well. It will be myself and my son who will be 4 at that time. My husband will be staying home with my 1 year old. We are also booked for the August 12th Dream sailing as well. This will be our first ever cruise and first ever Disney experience. Unless I decide to take a spring break cruise lol. I booked an inside stateroom for this cruise and a verandah on the one in August. I was going to splurge on a verandah for this cruise but since I am trying to book one for spring break I need to save a little money

Linda :)

I would skip it on your first cruise. All of the main dining rooms are very nice, and it would be worth it to see each once. We've been on 2 3-night cruises w/ DCL so far, and we went to Palo on the 1st night of our 2nd cruise. It was very nice, but the other 3 restaurants are great as well, so you might as well see all of them your first time around and save Palo for a future cruise. That's just my opinion, though :)

Thanks for the advice :goodvibes

That's kind of what I was thinking and it gives me a good excuse to do another cruise :thumbsup2

You'll probably be visiting the future bookings desk by the end of your 2nd night. We booked our "2nd" cruise on our first, and that's the one in my signature for 10/30...we also went on a DCL sailing this past November for what ended up being our 2nd sailing with DCL putting the 10/30 at #3 (#4 if you count non-DCL curises...just went on a Carnival cruise in June for DW's B-day).

The future bookings desk is my "happy place" (a la Happy Gilmore)!

I think you are probably right - I'll tell DH I am 'just going to the Spa' :rotfl:

Just booked this after realizing that Pirates 4 should be released during this sailing. HOW AWESOME IS THAT??? :)

I didn't select a cabin, but DCL picked one for me on Deck 7 - Cat 11B - looking forward to the virtual porthole (although of course would never refuse an upgrade!), since we have an outside cabin booked for Nov later in the year.

Was able to switch to an 11C guarantee - will be happy with whichever type of cabin we end up with - can't wait! :)

I too have switched my dates to this cruise just for the release of Pirates 4. My daughter just loooovvvveeeesss those movies, so I played switcharoo with the dates a little. I just hope we do get to go. I just wonder if they will make a big ta do about it.

Woot. Just booked our first cruise ever. We will be on this boat for our 10th anniversary.

Hello everyone! I've been lurking around on this thread for a few days now while we had rooms on hold. Tonight we paid the deposit so I have allowed myself to post.

This will be our third Disney cruise. We did a 3 day on the Wonder in the summer of 2008 and we did the first 5 day cruise on the Magic in Sept 2009. It was supposed to be a double dip at CC right before the Magic went into dry dock but hurricane Hannah had other plans for that double dip. We missed a day at CC but learned that our whole family can deal with ROUGH seas without getting sick!

Someone mentioned booking this for the Pirates movie premier. I don't remember which one but one of our cruises was during the premier for the second pirates movie. Each stateroom got special "premEAR" buttons and I think a poster. I really can't remember because we have a friend who is a huge Pirates fan and we gave our goodies to him. The movie was shown out by the pool (maybe at midnight?) because I remember my husband said it was cool to lounge in the deck chair while he watched it.

This is our first time without a varandah. This time we booked 2 standard inside rooms (adjoining). We have 2 girls ages 16 and 14 and having their "own" room and bathroom outweighs the varandah in my opinion! Hopefully I won't miss it too much.

I look forward to getting to meet you all. Is everyone planning on doing the fish extenders? By my count it looks like we have 10 groups. On the Sept 2009 cruise we had over 100 cabins participate in our FE exchange! Ten sounds like a nice reasonable number.

I'd be willing to keep track of names/cabin numbers of those who want to participate (unless someone else has already started doing it)

Cathy

... am planning on cruising this weekend in May 2011 in celebration of my graduating from the College of Education at University of Central Florida.

Congratulations!

I graduated from UCF with Secondary English/Language Arts Education-but that was back in the dark ages!
