May 19 - 24, 2014 San Diego to Vancouver

I posted on the FB page, but I am posting here as well for anyone not on FB:

I used to be a Disney Store CM and I have thousands (yes, thousands) of pins. I just lost interest and don't trade any more. If any of the kids (or adults for that matter) in my FE group (Group 1) are into Pin Trading, I would gladly dig thru my many tubs of pins and see if I could find something they collect. Most are still on the cards. If parents will let me know what their kids collect, I will see what all I can find. I have a lot of CM exclusives and LE pins from way back.

If you are interested, if you would please leave me info to identify your cabin-a DIS name or Cabin no., etc. so that I will get everything to the right cabin--I don't want to be guessing here. I have seen requests to meet and trade, but I will not be bringing pins to trade, just pins for FE gifts, sorry.

Some have sent me a "message" on FB, but since I am on this cruise and the Alaska one that follows, it makes it tough to figure out which cabin on which sailing I should deliver to.

Hi :)
We decided to go all out for formal dinner night. Anyone have any experience with Cruise Line Formal Wear rentals for tuxedos?

Welcome, Welcome, as Kew423 said, FE list is not closed and if you will let me know who all is sailing with you, I will get you added to the roster on the first page.

Thanks! We are a crazy mixed family of 7 in 3 cabins. C1: Dad/Gpa, Mom/Gma, Sis(14) C2: Bro/Dad(31), Daughter(5) C3: Bro(29), Me-SO(29)

Posted on FB page but posting here too.
DH is interested in having custom pins made for our cruise. He is wondering if people would buy one for cost ($2). You have to order 100 of them, so we were wondering if folks would be interested.

Need to decide what we want to do with the FE group. Got three more cabins to add today, they are all together in their group. Should I put them in the three groups or wait to see if we get more folks in the next month for a fourth group? Should we up the number to 20 from 15?

Also, if you Facebook please join our group there. Lots of exchanging of ideas and questions and answers that aren't necessarily being done on here.

I would probably buy one too as a remembrance of this cruise, but I don't need any more flippin' pins. :rotfl:

Wife and I want to do a mixology class while on board. But you can not sign up for them until you board the ship, unless you book a private class. Doing some research it looks like the offer private classes to groups of 20-30 people. The cost is $15 per person regardless if you show up, your room will get charged. I am looking to see if there would be enough people interested in taking a class. I've read that you make and sample up to 5 different drinks. Let me know who might want to do this. Guest must be 21 and older. Also I don't think we can reserves a specific date or time for this class. But would be on a sea day.

Kara and my self more than likely would be interested - we are planning on doing as many mixology classes as we can

:)

Some groups are less than 15 now due to cancellations, so you could bring those up to 15 again. I think we need to close the FE group pretty soon, to give everyone time to get their gifts ready. Most of our other trips closed the FE groups at 60 days out, but even 45 days out would be reasonable. (Within 30 gets a little too busy for us.) If we have three big groups and one really small one, we could increase each existing group to 17 or 18, but if a fourth group has 10 or more people in it, they could easily have their own group. I like FE groups being 15 or less because you can be more creative with fewer gifts. Plus, they take up less room in your suitcase, which is a consideration for some.

I'm so disappointed to not have been able to reserve a brunch. :worried: I keep checking every few days for an opening, but haven't been lucky. Is it wrong of me to be envious? And to be slightly peeved that there are likely cruisers who were able to check in earlier and have booked multiple brunches?

I really hope we can snag a reservation when we get on board. Can someone refresh my memory - where do we go to try?

I couldn't get it at first either...I just kept checking back a few times a day until someone cancelled and I was able to snag a spot. People are only allowed to reserve one brunch and one dinner before boarding. Good luck!

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks, Huney! I feel much less like sending daggery glares at fellow cruisers now.

I know what you mean lol. I was so bummed not to get a brunch spot at first. Keep checking and if all else fails, you can still try when you get on board, since they hold back a bunch if reservations from what I've read :)

Don't worry, you shouldn't have a problem getting one on board. We've been able to add an additional one pretty much every time so you should be good. You used to go to Diversions (old name) for all that stuff on the first day but it maybe be different now with the remodel.

While I would be disappointed, don't fault the people that have booked earlier because they have sailed with DCL more often--that is just a perk of their "rewards program." No more so than I can begrudge those that are Platinum and will be dining at Palo for free for one night. I wish I had that opportunity as well, but I am not Platinum--and I am sure that by the time I am that the program will have changed entirely and I will probably not meet the criteria again. :rotfl2:.

And just so you know, even those that checked in ahead of you can only book one brunch and one dinner. It isn't like each adult in a cabin can book a brunch or dinner--it is one brunch and one dinner per cabin.

And as others have mentioned, they only make so many reservations available for booking on-line--I have never had any trouble booking a brunch or dinner once we got on board.

Private mixology class is on (not the chocolate one, just the alcohol one)! If you want to do it, please message me the following:
Names of people attending
Cabin Number or reservation number
The max is 40 people so the first 40 people are in. It's $15 per person and it will be charge to your onboard account. We will schedule on a sea day in the afternoon.
Edit: If you sign up and then can't make it they will charge the $15 to your room regardless.

For the new folks: Don't forget to sign up for the Fish Extender Exchange if you are interesting in joining.
Don't know what that is? See here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-cruise-line/meets.htm

Email me at kew423@msn.com if interested. I need the names, ages of passengers. State room number, email address, if alcohol is OK and passengers favorite Disney characters, colors, likes, dislikes and your DISboard user name.:hyper:
