May 19 - 24, 2014 San Diego to Vancouver

Just emailed an updated FE list. If you didn't get it let me know. :)

Got it. Thank you. :goodvibes

Can I assume that Group 1 is pretty much what Group 1 will be going forward? I am just about ready to start personalizing.

I am in Group 1 but I am sad to say my son and husband won't be coming with me. This trip was planned to celebrate my oldest son graduation from high school but just realized this week he has a IB exam he can't miss:(
I meant to send an email to Kristen before the updated list.
So I will be participating in Group 1 but there will be just 4 of us instead of 6.
Hopefully I haven't inconvenience anyone. If you have already made something for Quintin and want to leave it in my FE I will happily give it to him. I know he would love it.
Feel a little guilty going on the cruise without him but I so didn't want to miss this amazing cruise (excited since last March) and Mickey was calling me.

Thanks for the information. I agree about being stuck in the Cove Cafe. Will have to see what we can come up with the kill the time. Too bad we are not docking at Canada Place as I think there are more options from there. Thank you for the information.

Aren't we docking at Canada Place, where the Fairmont is? If not I have to change my car rental ressie....

We are docking at the Ballantyne Cruise Terminal after this cruise. If you're staying on for the 9 night Alaska, we're coming back into Canada Place.

San Diego -> Ballantyne Cruise Terminal -> Alaska Cruise -> Canada Place.

Holy moly, thanks for letting me know. I haven't read all the cruise docs yet but booked my rental car already :scared:

Does anybody know if there's a possibility of seeing any whales along our cruise? Would they even come that close to the ship?

Just paid in full! My TA said we can't check in til the 6th...? Meaning 9pm on the 5th. Is that right? She said we can check in 74 days before...I thought it was 75 if we're paid in full.

Hey everyone, just joining in and wanted to check if the FE list was closed... for the May 19th cruise... late registering for the cruise so wanted to check with everyone sooner than later as we finish detailing everything out on our end! Thank you! :)

Staying Disney Grand Californian 2 nights before cruise. Has anyone got transport recommendations from there to San Diego Cruise terminal on the Monday?

Hi it is not closed. Please send an email with all info needed (see front page).

Thanks!

It is strange, I thought dates were all the same for all Gold, Silver, newbies, etc., but I have seen people quote dates that were different from others at the same level, especially in the newbie category, so I am not sure what that is all about.

Welcome, Welcome, as Kew423 said, FE list is not closed and if you will let me know who all is sailing with you, I will get you added to the roster on the first page.

Staying Disney Grand Californian 2 nights before cruise. Has anyone got transport recommendations from there to San Diego Cruise terminal on the Monday?

I remember there being a lot of discussion about this early on in this thread, I think about taking the train down to San Diego. You may want to go back and see what you can find. We considered doing the same as we own DVC at the Grand Californian, but we decided it best for us to chill in San Diego for a couple of days before getting on the ship. I don't do too well with arriving at the port on the day we sail. Good luck with whatever you decide.

We are doing the same, and found a SUV to take us on Saturday morning (we are taking the 2-night cruise to nowhere prior to this cruise) through limos.com. I had hoped for something more economical, like a Disney transfer, but it appears that it is not to be. Oh, well. At least this way we should be able to make a stop at a liquor store before we board.

Heather, I think your travel agent is mistaken. It should be 75, so next Wednesday evening will be your check in - 9 pm if you live on the West Coast, 10 pm Mountain time, midnight Eastern time, etc. Good luck - and hope you get everything you want!

If Wednesday is my check in day, then could do it late Tuesday night then right? We're in San Diego so I can try at 9 :)

We are also coming down from DL, I've got a rental car reserved from Downtown Disney to the San Diego airport (very close to cruise port it seems) for about $50 (including 2 car seats/boosters, so more like $30).

I figure we'll have breakfast, pick up the car, drive down and DH can drop me and the kids at the port with luggage. He can either get a shuttle from the rental agency (if they offer one) or catch a cab after returning the car. It seemed the best option for us to be 'in charge' of our timeline. We've previously found the drive from Newport to Carlsbad to be very easy, Anaheim to San Diego port should be similar.

Welcome! Do you have boys or girls? I have a dd (7), ds (5), and dd (will be 18 months on the cruise) :)

Sorry for the long delay in response we have ds (8), ds (5.5!) and dd(2.5). We are sailing with friends who have dd (8) and ds (5.5!). So friends for all in the club/lab :)

I would love to have my 2.5 (nearly 3!) dd toilet trained for a possible 'trial run' in the clubs, but it's not looking real probable. Oh well, she's our last, so no rush...just hope she's okay in the nursery while all the 'big' kids go off to play. Last year she wasn't quite as aware of missing out-

Thanks Disneygirl55 & Momma2, think we will do something similar or take a limo if we are feeling rich and lazy :)
