May 19 - 24, 2014 San Diego to Vancouver

In case any Bay Area travelers have yet to book their air, CaliforniaGirl09 and I just purchased our tickets this morning and are pretty happy with the fares we found. To get to the cruise, we are flying from Oakland to San Diego on Southwest and found $77 Wanna Get Away fares. After the cruse, we are flying from Vancouver to San Francisco and got $166 fares on Air Canada (actually a United flight operated by Air Canada, but cheaper to book through Air Canada than through United for some reason). And since it is a United flight, we should get a free checked bag each with the United Explorer credit card. Just wanted to pass this on in case others are still fare hunting. The great thing about Southwest is that if the fare drops, you can re-ticket and get a credit for the difference. I happened to have $29 in credits from a previous Disneyland trip and was able to apply those to the $77 fare for this cruise. Not sure about Air Canada, but $166 is by far the cheapest we have seen to date for the return from Vancouver into the Bay Area.

FE info

Cut off will be in April.
We are splitting at 15.
If you have not received emails from me with updates or a confirmation in the last couple of days, then please send me a email with all the needed info. Please remember to put FE info or FE something in the subject line or it will not be looked at, it will be in my junk folder and deleted.

I'll send out an update tomorrow.

My husband talk to DCL today. He asked about pirate night and formal night stuff. He was told that there will NOT be a pirate night and that there WILL be a formal night on the second night (there is not normally a formal night on the 5 night cruises).

Thanks for this info. Did he find out anything about the schedule for our 9-night?

Will there be a Pixar night or are they leaving off that type of theme night altogether?

I sent an email to everyone on the FE list. Please respond so I know you got it. If you didn't get it please let me know.

OK, so I took the FE list and updated the front page roster with FE participants that I didn't have on there before, and there are two cabins that I can't find on the front page roster: Lindsaynoelle62 and Shelebeen.

I have either overlooked you on the list or maybe the front page roster has you under another name, or maybe you didn't wish to be on the roster. It is possible I just didn't see your name as I have looked and looked at that roster until my eyes are crossed. :scared:

Please let me know what I need to do to get this fixed, if anything. :goodvibes

Does anyone know what the dining rotation will be??:confused3
There are not a lot of 5 night cruises for the Wonder on the West Coast to use as a reference. And, will DCL have a special menu night like they do pirates' night? The pirates' menu is the worst (in my opinion) and a great night to do Paolo, but since there will be no pirate night, not sure if they will have one night when all the restaurants have the same menu. Saw mention somewhere of an Alaskan Treasures menu but don't know anything else about it.

Hi everyone. We booked this cruise yesterday and are extremely excited! This will be our fourth Disney cruise and second on the Wonder.

I've sent an email to the person organising the FE group, and hopefully we're not too late to sign up for that. My husband has a really awesome FE gift idea, specific to the Wonder, so hopefully we haven't missed the cut off.

We're from Canada and the winter this year has been like a rollercoaster of bizarre winter storms and patches of oddly warm weather. This trip was booked on a whim to have something to look forward to as we cuddle by the fireplace and watch the temperatures dip to -40 outside. Brrr...

Welcome :banana::banana::banana:

You are not too late for the FE, can't wait to hear what the awesome FE idea is (you can tell me, I am not in your group ;) ). I will get you added to the front page roster.

How do we know what the FE groups are?

Also, where can I get that really awesome Mickey head full of words for the cruise? That's awesome! We'd love to add a full page copy on our photo book for the trip!

Once you submit your information for the FE (link is on the first page in the roster thread), Kew423 will be sending out an updated list. She just sent one a few days ago, so maybe you can ask her to forward to you.

The blue Mickey head was created by someone else, and is in a post that is early on in this thread. The turquoise one I did, and I made it with Tagzedo. I made it a long time ago and honestly don't remember just how I did it except that I had to upload my own Mickey Head. :scratchin

Malificent starts May 30. Wonder if there is any chance they will show it on our cruise.

Edit: I just realized that I posted this reply on the Repo cruise. It will not show as it doesn't start showing until the 30th. They'll show it on the first AK cruise.

If it's playing on land it will be shown at sea, including premieres (premEARs). They will probably do a premEAR in the Walt Disney Theater that night. :cool1:

And I am definitely going to want to catch that one. I don't remember, is Maleficent a 3D?

I am totally new to this discussion board and to the Disney Cruise Line! I booked my family's first ever cruise as a Christmas present to them. I am a mother of 3 teenagers and recently graduated from graduate school and passed my boards and am now a practicing Certified Nurse Midwife. My family has put up with a lot of my being absent from them during schooling and I want to reward them with some wonderful family time - THUS I booked this cruise! I'm so excited. Any tips would be wonderful! Thanks! Myra
