We had an 11 am boarding time last cruise. Hope it's that early this time.I would be a nervous wreck if I wasn't, but that's just me.![]()

Cruise is all paid off! We can start booking stuff on sunday!!
How about 3:30? I think everyone should be on by then.
Woohoo, are you booking everything thru Disney?
The safety drill is usually at 3:45 so 3:30 might be pushing it. I still say we meet right after the drill or right after the sail away party.
Great suggestions from markheardjr.I just have a couple of comments in response and put them in blue.
Oooo, I have a very different opinion on this one. I highly suggest doing San Francisco on your own. We are there for around 12 hours, which is plenty of time for anyone to figure out what they want to do and to get back to the ship. I don't recall seeing anything that Disney offered for an excursion that wouldn't be just as easy, and cheaper to book on your own
What does that mean?OK, for those not doing the B2B with the May 24 Alaska sailing. There is a lot of discussion going on over on that Meets thread about which pier DCL is using in Vancouver. This was posted by Peachygreen over there: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm sure this has probably been discussed in here before but I was looking at the Vancouver Port Schedule and noticed that the May 24th Cruise departs from the Ballantyne Pier and not from Canada Place. http://www.portmetrovancouver.com/en/about/cruiseandtourism/cruiselineschedules.aspx I just wanted to share in case it wasn't known. If this is true, that means that the San Diego sailing would be coming in to the Ballantyne Pier instead of Canada Place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The conversation starts with post #739 in this thread: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3064884 I think it is on Page 50. As the original poster said, not meaning to stir things up since we don't know which information is correct, but I thought everyone here would be interested in following this. __________________
What does that mean?
For this May 19 cruise it means that if the Port of Vancouver site is correct, that the ship is pulling into a different pier in Vancouver, not Canada Place, but Ballantyne. That may make a difference to anyone getting off the ship in Vancouver as far as any hotel reservations they have already booked or transportation plans they have made. For those staying on the ship and doing the B2B with Alaska, it may make a difference in their plans for the day in Vancouver and how they get to where they were going--not sure how far away from Canada Place the Ballantyne pier is. For anyone like me that has someone joining them in Vancouver, for the May 24 sailing, I booked my DHs hotel right there at the pier, at the Pan Pacific, so he would not have to deal with any transportation issues that morning to get to the ship. If that May 24 sailing leaves from Ballantyne, I may need to change his reservation. I understand that Canada Place is usually nicer and preferred over Ballantyne. Wherever the mistake was made, seems like a fairly big mistake to me.
Does anyone have any idea what the temperatures are, historically, while we are out to sea on this cruise?
LA to SanFran May 20-24 averages 63° with a record high of 78° and record low of 46°. I'd say San Diego to SanFran to Vancouver might be a difference of 3° or 4° each stop unless some weather is rolling through the Pacific NW. I'd plan for a few jackets, one rain proof if you can fit them. On the water it may be a few degrees cooler too. Depending on how far out we go and marine layer it may be a little nippy. Midwesterners won't notice a thing and wear shorts. SW'ers might need some fleece lined leggings and some Uggs. haha. http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KSFO/1972/5/22/PlannerHistory.html?req_city=KSFO&req_state=CA&req_statename=California
