ADORBS!! OMG they are so cute! And you, too!
Thank you!
Absolutely loving all of the pirate pics! Super jealous of you guys in the US though, we wouldn't be able to get any costumes like that over here in the UK unless we spent a mini fortune renting them out!
The girls' outfits came from Walmart (on clearance, $7 each) and mine was from Costco (about $20). The girls wore theirs for two years and they are now too small.

What do you think the chances of me getting a pirates costume in the Walmart on Galveston on the Friday? :)

Right it is time for Collette's stupid question of the day. Yet again, I think I already know the answer but I am one of those annoying people who have to be sat down and told, no you can't do that before I give up.

You know at WDW/DL you have the art stores and they have the artists/drawer's (is that a word?!) in there who draw you the picture you request and can personalise it with names and dates etc?

Do you get that on the cruise? I am guessing Disney don't pay for someone like that to sit on board for a cruise like this to make only minimal sales?

Thanks as always, you lovely, wonderful people :D

I have only seen DCL do this once - on the Hawaii inagural cruise. Ducky was "renting time" I had him do an Aloha Pooh (since he doesn't freehand draw Sully who is Cathy's character). I have over 20 cruises, and this was the only time I saw this offered on DCL...so I doubt they will do it now - but one never knows!!! I think that Disney doesn't have a lot of artists that can draw a lot of characters - Ducky is a special kind of artist.

also for those looking for pirate costume stuff - DressLikeAPirate.com neat stuff!!!

I just got off the phone with Disney and asked about the transportation to the ship from the airport hotel in Houston. We are not on a big bus but they have several shuttles that come and go as the day goes on. She said that Disney looks at the check in time that we choose during check-in for the port and will place us on a shuttle according to that time. She said that if we want we can all set the same time, get a list together and call the transportation department and try and get us all departing at the same time and traveling together. If there are people interested and we can decide on a port arrival time I would be happy to call Disney back with the request and see if we can get a set place at the dinning room at the hotel as well for breakfast.

I just found on line that check in begins at 11am and boarding 1pm, both of my cruises started boarding before this. Travel time to the port is about 70 min. according to Disney. Let me know what everyone thinks.

I would be interested. Do we need each select the same boarding time when we do online check in or do we choose a boarding time as a group and they will schedule the shuttle for us?

Us too!! Now we are officially on this cruise! We can't wait! My DD keeps asking when our next cruise is! She loves cruising!

We are definitely dressing up for Pirate night. This will be the third cruise for these costumes, so if the dont make it off the ship I won't be too sad.

Awesome website, thanks very much!

Will take a look there later - are they good quality costumes then?

Well, like anything I suppose, you want to read the reviews. But I've had good luck. They are generally the same brand name as you would find in Walmart and other places.

Congratulations to you too!!!! :jumping1::jumping1:

I know, the kids love these cruises as much as we all do. The kids and I are especially excited for this cruise. We've never gone overseas as a family so this is really cool for us. I had looked into other cruise line's transatlantics and they had a couple that had more ports but I just couldn't imagine my kids enjoying themselves for two weeks on another cruise line.

Hi All,

My wife Richlyn and I (Bob) from Los Angeles area are booked on EBTA. This will be our 17th DCL cruise. Never done the Trans Atlantic. Looking forward to a great time.
