Paid in full yesterday. :cool1:

Flights to Houston - check
Flights from Barcelona - check
Hotel in Houston - check
Disney transfers from Houston to Port - check

All I need to do is sort out our ESTA's, which I will do nearer the time, and also travel insurance.

And the biggest thing - lose loads of weight!!! :rotfl:

I lost 3 stone for my cruise last year which was great - sadly I have put 2 back on. :sad2: So, need to get a grip and get started.

You've got lots of things sorted :)

I need to book our flights back from Barcelona. And I need to lose so much weight as well :-( I lost 36 pound last year and have piled it all back on and then some! So upsetting. Wasted so much money buying smaller clothes and then having to buy bigger everything again :(

I hope you remembered to CHARGE them from time to time. I would have found a dead battery to be worse than a low battery beep! :rolleyes1

Steven
I just turn them off all together. We just don't use them.

We did not have any issues with rough waters in 2010 EBTA. We did have more whitecaps as compare to Caribbean ... but the waves seemed WIDER ... not taller. When we looked at the waves from deck 4, they seemed HUGE (wide, not tall) ... but it was still fairly smooth.

No Ginger Ale on DCL? DW usually gets Ginger Ale once one twice on most DCL cruises (albeit, at a restaurant, not at the soda fountain). :confused3

Steven
It seems to come and go, I suggested they put it on the station years ago, but so far - not there.

where is the FE list posted? Do we have a count yet? I am going to start making my gifts, but don't know how many to make!!!

Ginger ale was available in the dining rooms at dinner. My DH had it every night on the EBPC on Wonder, and at least once on a Canadian cruise on Magic.

Thank you.
She just had a new baby, but I will.

I was afraid I'd be hauling car seats, rats!
40 pound bags will be a challenge, but hey, that is what makes it fun.:laundy: I may be joining the laundry party, often.

You don't have to ask her anymore now.

You can ask whatever tou want to know about the Netherlands and i'm willing to answer as much as i know myself....

Are the kids tall enough to go without carseats??
Or do you have to find a way to get them here??

Happy New Year!

Haven't been here in awhile. Glad to see our thread is hopping!

I have spent dozens of hours :surfweb: researching hotels in Barcelona with pools (which are a necessity for me and the boys -- DH, not so much haha). I am freakishly thorough, even going on the Trip Advisor message boards and talking to Barcelona locals. If anyone has any questions, let me know.

What is the magnets only mandate?

We were PIF on the 2nd! Costco's date was 1/4. Perhaps that is why a lot of people are PIF already?

Regarding flights, my biggest suggestion would be to use miles for the homebound journey if you have them. We got a great deal on United -- only 30K miles instead of a $1200+ ticket back to IAH (we are purchasing RT from HNL to IAH). And since I normally use between 40-80K to fly RT in the states, I think 30K is awesome!

Aside from miles I am no help, since we use United exclusively so we can earn more miles haha.

Hope all is well with all of you!

I agree. We had great luck with our flights using our United miles... decent times and decent connections. The 30K Saver Awards are awesome!! :)

Is there anybody that would be interested in a mostly friendly game of poker? Probably tournament style for $10 or $20. We did this on our last Magic cruise and had a few players. We only played once because there was so much else to do. I think with all the sea days this cruise we would play more often. I know there is four players from my travel party, so we don't need that many more to make a good game.

Hi - just saw this - I'd be up for a game or two of poker!

No need to bump ... merely register for messages (daily seems best), via THREAD TOOLS (upper/right of each page). You will be sent an e-mail with all new messages, including links to DCL. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!! I want to sign up for the FE group, but I am having trouble PMing binkytell. To be honest I think I am doing something wrong while I'm sending the PM. I read a lot and the boards and post occasionally, but I've never actually send a message. I thought I did it correctly, but I haven't received a reply in a 4 or 5 days. I just checked and my acct. is showing no sent messages....so my guess is I messed up somewhere along the way!!! :confused3 If you read this binkytell I would love to sign up for the FE group!!! :goodvibes Thanks and I'll keep trying!!

I am also having trouble. I finally figured out that I sent the first message to myself and not Sarah. I am still waiting for her to reply to my second message. My biggest concern is that I did something wrong again and that she didn't get the second message either. This is all new to me.

FYI - Last cruise was just before the hurricane and it was a little rough. Oldest daughter was not feeling well and we went to the bar to get a ginger ale and the bartender put extra ginger in it to help settle her stomach.

Kensington and Marble Arch are both good places to stay in. Have you visited London before? I'm happy to help with suggestions on what to do there, as we from the UK we visit London around 7/8 times a year.

Never been before. The truth be the Caribbean, Alaska and Mexican Rivera are the only cruise destinations out of the 20 or so we have done. Everything you can advise us about would be great. We are flying right to London after the cruise and spending 2 nights.

Is there anything in particular you are interested in visiting whilst there? i.e Buckingham Palace, Tower of London?

I see the military discount for this cruise is $55 pp/day for a 9C - which is $770 + taxes. That's 50% off the current price of $1,540 pp plus taxes! I know the IGT/OGT/VGT fares won't be that low, but I am really tempted to move my onboard booking reservation for this cruise to something else while we wait to see what DCL offers after the PIF date. We are already booked in an 11C gty - so we can't go any lower!

I think I would be playing the gamble as well if not on a military or interline rate that's being offered right now.

I didn't mean 'bump' as in 'the posts' . I meant as in ' going back to work on two night shifts with very little sleep kind of bump'

UGH!!!

Today is the day I am so upset with Jet Blue....they CANCELED my flight from JFK to HOU - the rebook was either too early in the day (I am graduating on the 17th and won't be done before 2pm - that flight was at 245 with over an hour drive!) The flight the next day lands after the rental car is due back....sigh.

So, we are now booked on Air Tran out of Phili....via Chicago, landing 15 minutes later than the Jet Blue flight...we will be RUNNING to get the car (pickup has to be before 1am - we land at 12:15)

So my question is this - for those who have flown into Hobby - where are the rental car desks in comparison to the luggage carousels? And from the gates? Should we split up? one for luggage one for car? so many questions - I hope all you guys can help!!!

Cayla

My newly retired father (also a DCL fan) has decided to join me on the cruise! Another Kiwi on the boat :) I decided a split bathroom would be a neccessity with the addition of a cabin mate, so have shifted from my 11C into a 10C.

We're staying at the Airport Marriott through Disney, but sadly won't be able to join up with anyone for drinks because we arrive after midnight and will be exhausted after about 17 hours in the air, all up

Now to go and catch-up on this thread,, I am way behind...
