May 18, 2013 MAGIC EBTA - Who is with us?

. . . It was completely Fjords that we visited, Baltics is next on my cruise list after our EBTA! Thinking of booking a RC 7 night Baltics one for September 2013.
We were very pleased with RCI's 12-night Scandinavia & Russia cruise R/T from Harwich.

You might try taking a look at that itinerary.

Woody

What are your plans after arriving in Spain? Anyone doing another Disney Cruise once there or anyone planning to go to Paris or Disneyland Paris? Does anyone know if Disney Adventures will be offering something starting 6/1/12?

We plan on going to Disneyland Paris for 2-3 days. We'll also do 1 day site seeing in Paris then hopefully going to London for a couple of days before flying out. The plans aren't set in stone yet, but this is kind of what we are thinking.

Thanks Woody, we have looked at that one but unfortuneatly don't have the holiday days for the next couple of years due to other trip plans. We may wait until 2015 to do a full 12/14 night Baltics one.

Would you say it made much difference then having the long iterniary? Obvious sailing from the UK is always a bonus !

We did a 13 night with P & O last year and loved it. We had a day each in Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Bruges, Tallin (Estonia, which was lovely) and 2 days in St Petersburg which was amazing. I guess the 1 or 2 week itinerary choice is how many ports you'd like to pull in - for us we wanted to see as many as possible so went for the longer cruise and minimal sea days.

We have booked through BA using avios (new name for airmiles) it comes in really handy for one ..........

Hope this helps

Paul

Thanks for the info Paul. We've decided to bite the bullet and pay to fly with BA direct (" return") as we used all our Tesco points on a P & O cruise this C'mas and had a bad experience with Iceland Air so thought it was worth a bit extra to go straight to Houston and there's a wee bit of cash back with Quidco to soften the blow!

I'm glad I moved a dummy booking to this cruise in January, rather than hold out for what I thought would be a September 2013 Hawaii cruise! For those of you who were waiting to move this to a westbound Transatlantic cruise in October - it doesn't look like there will be one with passengers.

Our TA is moving us to this cruise as we speak.
As of now it will be:
me (Suzanne) the mom :)
DD8 (Madigan)
DS6 (Graiden)
DS4 (Finnian)
We are from Toronto, Canada and will be traveling onto England for a visit afterwards

Thank you, going to that type of place it will definitely be more about the port days and not the sea days! May book one for March 2015 then when the itineraries are out.

Although we keep pushing back our next WDW trip and that needs to be done ASAP! :)

And what about our next DCL trip?! Because I am so dummy booking onboard! :cool1:

Welcome!! I expect we will see quite a few folks moving to this sailing. The more the merrier!! :woohoo:

Maybe... some may take other WBTAs or do meds... some may wait and see what the Wonder is doing for 2014... I have to do it next year or never. I was intending to go back to school Fall 2014 but with this cruise, I can bump it and go back in 2013! Now I just need to decide what I want to do... ECE or ABA.... Decisions... decisions...
Still waiting on my TA to move our dummies over though.. she's been swamped all day!
hope it gets done today!

Hey Everyone,

With the WBTA no longer going to materialize, it looks like people are settling into this cruise. So maybe it's time to really start getting organized.

Valbob89, P17blo, and I have been going back and forth for a while on a website for the cruise (as the first post to this thread shows).

We know there's already a Facebook page for the cruise, but it seems like that only serves part of the need and not everyone is on Facebook. Since it's a closed group, not all people can't see what's going on.

What I'd like to propose is that we spin up a Google Site website which I'll be the webmaster of (most of it is already spun up) and have Valbob and P17blo help out where we need it. I will be able to open up individual pages for other contributers (as long as they sign up for a google account and will share their email address with me) which will allow various event organizers to do their own thing. Or, if an event organizer is not comfortable with the bit of techy-ness required, I'll be happy to do what they'd like done.

I would propose that the purpose of the website is to be the organized collection of most of the things that have been decided, organized, found, etc. Facebook and Disboards can continue to be the place where discussions can take place and such but we'll collect important things and get them put onto the website as well.

Does this make sense? If I get some agreement, I'll put a few more finishing touches on the website and ask Valbob to add the link to the first page. Then we can get organizing. Valbob says that people have been asking about signing up for things so let's get it done. :goodvibes

Please express your thoughts in the thread or PM me directly.

OK We're booked! :woohoo:
However they only have GTYs left for 11Bs... should I be worried??
Also does anyone have any info on transportation from airports to port hotels night before? Shuttle? Cab?
I will be traveling alone with 3 bags and young and not always cooperative children sooooo ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

INFO FOR FISH EXTENDER

If you would like to join in the FE exchange, please PM binkytell (SARAH) with your Disname, names of everyone in the room participating - first and surnames - and relationship to you (DH, DD, etc), ages of children, and your room number (if known). If you would prefer that your childrens' names not be posted publicly, just let me know. I'll keep them on my list, but I'll only put the relationship identifier (DD, DS) on the list here.

Some people do like to do separate gifts for children so it can be helpful to let us know childrens age and gender. I also will not post surnames. Some folks need the names for their FE gifts, so I will only pass them on to those people.

You MUST send me a PM with your information in order to be included in the FE!!!! Simply mentioning your desire to participate in a post on the thread will not get you included.

we can agree a cut off date and numbers per group that suits the majority at a later date.

remember Whatever you decide to give will be enjoyed and appreciated, its the taking part that counts:thumbsup2

sounds like your on it and a good job too as i feel the time:thumbsup2 is already starting to fly by.

I'm not on Facebook - am I going to miss much because I'm not in the group?

facebook tends to be alot more chat than the organising of events.
i found last year on the wbta page it was so hard to keep up on the dis towards the end as there was so much chit chat :rotfl: you would come online after a day and have pages and pages to go through

I don't know if anyone has offered to organize the fish extender or candy swap. If your up to it, go for it. I would suggest posting info on how you want to do it and how you want everyone to contact you. Thanks for offering.

started the ball rolling, bring it on:banana:

I love this idea, it seems like a quick way to see what will be going on so that you don't miss something on the board.

Welcome to all the new families.:cheer2:
