FYI for anyone who likes to order things from VistaPrint... they are having one of their many sales this weekend: 50% off and free shipping if $50 or more. If making tshirts for your family, reordering business cards, etc, thought I would throw that out there. They do charge if uploading an image - normally $5 but made it $2.49. I have images out there from previous years so could add under "advanced editing" and re-use previous images with no upload fee.

For kid shirts I have always done Hobby Lobby and iron-on transfers from AmyMickey dot com, but for the $6 rate with VistaPrint gave it a shot with their sale. Hoping their sizing is true to what's stated - will share after they come in for anyone else ordering kiddos a shirt. :thumbsup2

Hope this helps someone out there! :)
This is where i need you sitting next to me helping me order :rotfl2:. Thank you for the info!

FINALLY booked our flights back from Barcelona. We were actually getting quite worried as all of the low cost options had gone out of the window and we were looking at spending £360/$545 for under a 2 hour flight. At one point yesterday we considered cancelling the cruise!

But luckily after around 6 hours of searching we have come up a cheap flight from Barca on the Sunday 2nd getting into Gatwick for a much more reasonable cost. And we get to check out a couple of the main sights in Barcelona. Also booked our hotel in Barca for the one night, requested a shuttle rate for IAH to Galveston and booked our coach from London back to Birmingham.

I'm off for a sit down and a cup of tea now :)
:scared1: So glad you found what you needed so you didn't have to cancel!

Good point! You also get another lanyard if you are a DVC member. Insert would be great. If there is anything I can do help as far as printing them just let me know.

Love "Taking the Magic Across the Atlantic... From Tejas to Espana"

Are we still going to get shirts done?
Someone needs to take on T-shirts!

ValBob is going to do Hawaiian-shaped shirts, but she's been gone since late December, so we don't have any updates on how those are coming along.

:yay: I know you are happy to have that taken care of.

Who did you book your flights with? We were looking at Monarch to Manchester but it is €540 for 2 people!:scared1:

It definitely makes sense since many have a drawer full of lanyards. Heck, I checked ebay, you can buy them there as well - silver, gold, platinum, DVC. I probably broke some sort of code of ethics, but when I took my parents with me in November (me and 2 year old) my Dad wore the 2 year old's Silver lanyard and my mom wore my old WBTA lanyard just so they didn't have to purchase one since their first DCL cruise. The 2 year old was not into lanyards yet ;)

I can definitely design and put names in Waltograph for everyone so we are all formatted the same, make the file, and upload to website. Then either just print entire file or let folks print their own page from that file.

That is seeming to be what several are sharing. I did order some tshirts yesterday with that slogan as I had created a compilation of graphics last summer and posted on our facebook page. GoofyNewfie has added those graphics here to our website.

Are we still going to get shirts done?

ValBob has designed the collared button-down shirts. Here's a picture after updating the picture for Galveston: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=46642553&postcount=1169

And here is the link for the webpage showing the previous shirts she created:

I guess what I was trying to find out was did they ever take orders for the button down shirts? Do I owe someone money? The last part couldn't be right cause I never gave anyone sizes or counts. Trying to login daily so I don't get so behind. Somedays I just don't have time to do everything I want to. Am looking so forward to this cruise!

I hear ya!

No, she has not started taking orders yet, but also has not posted on this thread in a couple weeks. It is ValBob who originated the thread.

Should probably correct myself... I don't recall seeing her taking orders yet on this thread nor on the Facebook page. I might have missed that somewhere. Hopefully she will pop on soon to give an update. :goodvibes

Same here - every option we looked at was getting more and more expensive! I thought we were going to end up paying more for the 2 hour flight then our 9 hour one to Houston :)

I really am - should have done it months ago when the flights were released. Nobody's fault but my own :)

:( that's the kinda crazy prices we were looking at! Is that with the baggage added on ?

We are flying with Iberia - they are owned by BA. Not sure if they fly to Manchester but take a look :)

Also look at Air Europa - found OKish prices with them.

I don't remember any 'official orders' being taken either, I just remember Valbob asking what people thought of different ideas.

if any folks are interested in the following activities would you
be willing to organise for our EBTA group??

Secret mickey

Scavenger hunt

Palo group brunch

Jelly bracelets

Scrapbooking

Personal navigator

Until we meet again lunch

:flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3:

Scavenger sounds like something fun to organize. Anyone have any experience in organizing one or participating in one? Is it family? Separate for children? Separate adult? Organized one once when I worked for government. Guess it would be about the same.

If the palo brunch is organised we would certainly be interested. On the 2011 WBTA this was one of our highlights and met some great people - Sarah, Brian, Mandy, Curt, Stevie & Dawn :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

The food was also out of this world ::yes::::yes::

Ditto!! And for WBTA we had our confirmations back at 30 days prior to embarkation for all PALO group brunches. IMHO it is best to plan ahead and have the request in so that when DCL starts working on our sailing, we are in the queue with the requests. I think we ended up with 6 group brunches. Not one of those things to request at the last couple of weeks unless risk missing a slot for the private room. Just my two cents for the coordinator.

That's good to know. I think Chris (Grandma x3) and I are going to organize the Palo Brunches. I would appreciate any help or insight you and others can provide.

Do you think we should have some kind of sign up form on the website with a deadline? What is the earliest the request can be sent in? Maximum number for the private room is 14?

I wonder if we should consider a possible dinner for those of us traveling alone?

I'm really up for Palo brunch as well.

When in the cruise would you consider doing this? This may sound silly but because we haven't been to Palo before, we want to do the brunch ourselves first as well :)

Just did some major damage at the Disney Store Outlet! Got lots of cute sundresses for the nieces for about $10 each

going to our disney store can empty my bank balance, wish we had an outlet over here:goodvibes

HELLO STRANGER!! where you been recently :wave2:

we just took 1st come 1st served, once 1 group was filled we started another. we sailed on the wbta 10th sept and i just checked back and i sent the request email end of june.

all the palo brunch spots were gone on the wbta when it came to us 1st time cruisers booking 75 days out, one of the veteran disers suggested we request
the private dining room which we had no idea about.

doing a search on dis for palo group private dining there is conflicting info, some people have said if you book your own palo brunch when your booking window opens and then add yourself to a group your original booking
will automatically be cancelled, others say this has not happened to them.
