I have been so busy both at home (little league, school plays, etc.) and at work that I have stopped my planning for the past two weeks. I am starting to panic now!!!
I think I need a nice 4 day vacation in the Bahamas to settle my nerves!!!

I don't know what it is this time. I am usually SO overprepared for things. I've barely done anything this time. But the fact that we leave in 7 days to head to Florida should get me into high gear!

Thanks for all the good wishes to us in the UK. We leave on Thursday 15th to spend a couple days in the parks then its off to Canaveral for what promises to be the trip of a lifetime.
I have started to pack and organise now I finally have those tickets in my hands, but will as usual leave lots till the last minute.
We went today to exchange money to $$$$ and got quite a good rate. More money to spend on the cruise. I am torn between doing as many excursions as we can fit in or spending time relaxing on the ship. At the moment the relaxation sounds like the best bet.

I'm very excited about the good Canadian dollar right now as well. Our cruise was booked with a cruddy rate but our spending money has been exchanged much higher! I just bought Disney passes for my daughter (we have left over ones) through the Alamo link to WDW and got a 4 day park hopper plus pass for less than the regular 4 day AND since our dollar has gone up since I budgeted, we saved $30.00 CDN! Our car rental will cost us about $25.00 less now too!

How are you feeling these days? Is the pregnancy nausea a fading memory or is it holding on?

To Everyone Heading to Florida,
It is downright hot here. 90 degrees/high humidity. Prepare yourself if you are traveling from a cooler, drier climate. I had several clients today from the midwest who were shocked and unprepared for the heat. I suppose we will take comfort within the cool tropical breezes.

Have a wonderful weekend (if you're one of those people who have traditional weekends!!!!) Next week at this time, I will be packing!

Does anyone know if I can rent a car at the port? I posted this under title "rental car" but I'm asking here too. We could save a lot of money if we can do that.

I can't wait. I so need a vacation!

Good Morning!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.
It feels a bit surreal to me today that we will be in Nassau next week at this time. I am certain that this slow moving week will soon become next week's quickly passing week.
My amazing daughters surprized me with the Mickey Toaster for the Mom's holiday. It's lovely and whimsical - plays the Mickey Mouse Club song as the toast pops up; it's a good thing that it doesn't play "When You Wish Upon A Star" - I become teary eyed everytime I hear it on ship.

My DD12 surprised me with a beautiful handmade card that made me cry.

It has been downright awful down here. Very hot and humid. Can't wait to feel some caribbean breezes!

Wanted to get us back on page 1. I've actually thrown a few things in a suitcase. Anyone have any good tips for packing? I plan to do the big ziplock bags for underwear and socks for each person. Am I correct in thinking that each child can bring a separate carry-on suitcase on the ship. I think I'm suffering from information overload and am forgetting most of what I used to know.

I started organizing everything last night.I don't want to forget anything,but I know I will.I already have our water shoes packed away as these are great when it comes to Castaway Cay.I am also taking some ziploc bags as these came in handy for keeping the refrigerator a lot cooler as I just put ice in the bags and threw them in frig back on the cruise in September.I believe a highlighter is handy also.I forgot that last time.I threw one in my purse last night,so I wouldn't forget.I can't believe it!We leave in a few days!I can't wait!

Yes, everyone can bring a carry on. The most valuable "extra" that we bring is the over the door shoe holder. Ziplock bags are great for so many things.
Today is the beginning of my weekend, so we're heading to the beach for some pre-cruise tanning. I don't want to burn in the Caribbean.
The weather is very warm and humid - a welcomed change for alot of you, I'm certain.

Wow, only 4 more days till we leave for Florida!!! My three year old packed ALL her summer clothes in a bag already. (I think she's excited ).

I did the dreaded ironing and am almost packed too! YEAH!!!!!

I finished work today. What a day, cold, raining, thunder and even hail. I came home cold wet and longing for Thursday morning when we leave for our long awaited trip. It will be wonderful to feel some sun. and even if it rains I know its warm rain, not like our freezing stuff.

The dreaded ironing is done (I dont usually bother, and have to dust it before I use it!!). All I have to do now is pack, take the cats to cattery and leave.
