We did have a good time....but missed my hubby. Vegas wasn't the same without him.

Welcome back! I think Vegas is ALWAYS a meat market (especially the high end nightclubs)! Hope you had a wonderful trip!

You are so right!!! I guess when you are no longer in the market for the meat, you forget... But seriously, it does seem to have changed since I was there last in 2002...that is an understatement, I remember when food was super cheap and so were the hotel rooms....and I might be crazy but I do remember more families being there. Hope you are doing well!!!

Thanks! It was good - my work paid for me so I just paid for my daughter to come so that made it all worthwhile, my favourite parts were going to Valley of Fire State Park and Red Rock Canyon...and also, Target, I am so jealous that we dont have Target here in Canada.

I hope you had fun. I used to have to travel to vegas for work so I've never been fond of it myself (of course all I ever saw of it were the meeting spaces and the hallways to and from those meeting rooms). Jim would love to go for a weekend but since neither of us gamble I'd rather spend our vacation bucks at DL.

I am easily addicted to gambling it would seem so I am glad that I am on DCL with no casinos - I can wastefully spend in many other ways instead of gambling. I wish that I would go to conferences in Vegas more often but this was the first time - normally we go to Florida (I am not complaining about that but would always rather be there with my family and not working....)

Hi Indigodisney (do we have your name?) We are going to Vegas in 2 weeks and staying at the Venetian too! I hope it isn't too much of a meat market....

Ditto -- I have been there a million times for conferences. We are going this time because my MIL and her DH will be in town from Finland and want to go (they have never been). Me and Yoni are only staying for 2 nights. I don't really gamble but do plan on laying by the pool and reading a good book....hmmm and maybe having some of that, wait, what's that magic word? BUBBLY!!!

I hope you have a great time at the Venetian....I think because I was there with my daughter and mom,I was more aware of the adult side of Vegas....and it had been awhile since I was there. Can't wait to hear about your trip!!!

everyone, I want to apologise for not posting a photo or giving our real names. I have been struggling with this for some time....I think it is time to come clean about it. We are estranged from my husband's family and his brother is a psycho and I can't risk him searching on the internet and finding us, seeing pictures, knowing our travel plans, etc. I know that sounds dramatic, but it is a pact that my DH and I have....we remain anonymous. I hope you can understand, maybe you could call me Indigo for now or we could make up some other name and like the dance of 1000 veils or whatever that is called, I could have my big reveal on the cruise.

This has been a stressful week for me - I had a meeting on Monday that exhausted me and I can't even tell you how much I will need this vacation....50 days to go.....come on baby!!

Have a good night - I am off to remain in the shadows....

I am having a panic - T-Rex versus Spoodles - haven't been to either before, have an ADR for T-rex but now feel I should try Spoodles before it closes in the Fall! I don't know what to do - has anyone been to Spoodles before??

I am still getting first names confused with DIS names! When you guys mention real names, I can't remember who you are talking about! My husband laughs at me because I printed out the excel sheet and it's 4 pages long. When I need to look up a name, I open it up arms length and look for the name! He laughs because he says I'm gonna be the one in the terminal and on the boat walking with this huge paper in front of my face! Everyone will know me! My name is Kym and I am into details!

Can we print the excel chart smaller? I'm not sure how to resize it or print it smaller. Help!!

I'll work on reformating the information to an easier to read page.

I have a question for everyone, for all those people that have signed up as being on the cruise but haven't checked in lately, should we PM them to let them know about the FE and bracelete deadlines? My fear is that they will come visit the boards when they get their travel documents and then either wish they had signed up for the two groups OR they have signed up for the FE group but now don't want to participate. Then we will either have some bummed out people or we will have bought stuff for people that don't finalize the FE group info (cabin number). Just a thought.

Mati - will you be linking everyone's dinning reservations or only the early dinning group? Do you need us to send our confirmation numbers? BTW - we are childless but don't mind kids.

I'm missing AI tonight, tomorrow will be difficult both AI & Survivor and then the Sharks are playing as well. What's a girl to watch!

Sonya - I have an odd question about Goofy's Candy. With the marshmallows, are they fresh and gooey or are they a little stale? The reason I ask is that I love marshmallows covered in chocolate, but to me they taste better after they are a little more firm. I had one once from the candy place at DTD near Disney Quest and it just didn't taste very good.

Kim, Your family is beautiful. I had the same problem when i put my photo on. I couldn't change the size at all. That was why i first did the picture as my signature,but that was too small. Crystal,

Indigo: It's totally reasonable to be careful under those circumstances! Don't sweat it, as long as you don't mind us calling you "Indigo" for a few minutes! I wouldn't feel bad at all where my family's safety was involved!

BTW Didn't you LOVE Red Rock and Valley of Fire?! I lived way down Sahara only about 9 miles from Red Rock Canyon (literally across the road from the Red Rock Resort) last year. It was a treat seeing the canyon while walking dogs every morning. We hiked there at least 1 time a month! I only made it to Valley of Fire once last year, but thought it was beautiful as well. There are some photos of my dog and I at both places on facebook...

Mati: Have fun in Vegas. It may be a meat market, but the shows are amazing and the food can be if you end up in the right place!

Jane: Your PM idea is a good one. It would likely prevent any hurt feelings or "I didn't know" type of comments.

ALL: Thanks for the comments about my invitations. It's a big project, but I've been having fun with it! I have added etsy.com to the list of my online addictions. If you haven't checked it out, you should. It's kinda like ebay, but better. It's meant for all hand made items & people have "stores" BUT there is a custom tab where you can post what you're looking for (ie: Disney Belle princess dress, Girls size 6) and then say how much you are willing to pay for it & people will send you bids for the work. Lots of times they will do it for what you are offering or less. There are some amazingly talented people on there.

Anyone planning to do the walking tour of the ship on day 1. I think it's at 2:30pm. They only do it the first day while the ship is in port. This is the one thing my hubby says we HAVE to make it to. Let me know if you are planning to join. It would be nice to have a little group.

Thank you kindly everyone. Unfortunantly since I do have Chris and I am a stay at home mom, I do not get to visit Grandma Green at the hospital very much. I have only seen her once since she has been in there But it still is very hard, I have to constantly keep in contact with my MIL who keeps us all updated on her progress. I also have to babysit my MIL'S 3 dogs and keep up with anything that she may need on this end of the spectrum. It was hard when both the guys were sick (Mike and Chris), thankfully Mike is all better, and Chris is getting better, he only has a cough now.

Unfortunantly Im not sure how long I can fight off my part of getting sick. I am trying to take it slow and not push myself for fear that my immune system would get worn out and I would get it for sure. I do have a sore throat today but I am crossing my fingers that I can keep it fought off

We are doing the Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel. Christopher is 3 1/2 (His B-day is September 4th) so almost at the 4 age mark at the time of sailing but not quite. So we thought that we would attempt the dolphin discovery. We signed on for the 10:45am one.

They were pretty firm . . . not stale-firm . . . firm on the outside so you can get a good bite, then nice and squishy in the middle!
