I got you changed (both to Tink113sMom and removed the Ann). I'd do the same thing if anyone called me Janie. The only ones that were allowed to get away with it were Grandparents and my Dad. Unfortunately, all are gone now so NO ONE calls me Janie (and that is just the way I like it).

One question I keep forgetting to ask is suggestions of what we can do after we get off the ship. Our flight isn't until 5:20pm so we have a lot of time to do something (but we don't necessarily want to burn a whole days ticket for only a couple of hours. For all you repeat cruisers, is there anything that we should see/do between Cape Canaveral and the Orlando airport (that won't cost an arm and a leg?). The only things that we've done in FL have been the parks and we spent one day at Kennedy Space Center. Are there any cute towns we should stop in?

Thanks for any suggestions.

TGIF everyone!

My stress about formal and semi-formal night isn't so much about the clothing asabout how much room it takes up in the suitcase! Since the airline charges per checked bag I'm trying to get away with just one, but between formal, semi-formal, and pirate costumes that pretty much fills one checked bag.

My niece gets home for spring break this weekend and I told her we need to go through her clothing so we know if we need to go shopping. I have a few formal outfits from my work holiday parties that she okay. My mother went shopping in my "thin closet" (way back when I was a size 10), so she's set. And Carissa has a Mulan costume and a Minnie costume that she'll probably wear to at least one of the dress nights.

I have to admit that I am concerned about coordinating colors for pictures.

Mati, no one is going to notice what you are wearing. Everyone is going to be staring at all the littles girls dressed in princess costumes.

I've actually been losing weight over the past year. It's coming off slowly but I'm down 16 lbs since May, and I'm down 24lbs from my highest weight ever of 4 years ago.

Quite franky the only number I'm interested in right now is the countdown. We're down to single digit weeks! 9 weeks to go, yeah!

Formal Night advice.
If any of you know this but Old Navy has GREAT deals. www.oldnavy.com

Those are very cute!

Okay I don't know why I am telling you guys this. :rolleyes1 I hope you won't ban me from the board, but I don't like chocolate......
Don't feel bad, I'm not a huge fan of chocolate either. I can tolerate it if it has nuts in it.

(1) How many times have you been on a DCL cruise? When was the last time?
ZERO
Ok, think that ends my quiz! :rotfl:
Same Here...At least we can say that this is our first DCL cruise but hopefully not our last DCL cruise!

I may just buy me a pair of SPANX and wear that Hoochi Mama dress (ladies, be warned)

Go for it :thumbsup2 !!!! I'm sure you'll look HOTT!!!!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Good morning Tammy!

Ok, I will stop complaining about formal night. We are flying SWA so can each bring 2 bags -- that is EIGHT -- not that we can fit EIGHT in whatever transportation we bring but I don't really have a reason to complain about space. I will figure something out. I do have another dress that is nice and can fish out a few other things.

Is it really only 9 weeks away? I have 2 weeks until my MIL comes for 2 weeks. I guess I have it in my head to get through that before I can get my head around the fact that the cruise is getting closer. Did anyone see Good Morning America this AM? Yoni and I were cracking up with all of the footage from Finland. They at first made it seem like Nirvana but then they had to do the whole food thing (and that cheese is GROSS BTW) and then the shouters -- really, a Shouting chorus?

Ok, need to get some work done today. We are also hoping Yoni will hear about that job -- fingers crossed!

So I was on my elliptical last night when I posted about the DCL shows and had some stuff wrong. I went back and edited it, but just in case you didn't see the correction, here is the right info:

I have my DVR set up for Friday night on Travel channel (channel 277 on DirecTV) for the DCL show at 5 PM CST (it's on again Tues at 9 AM also), and I also have it set up again on Sunday night at 6 PM CST on DIY channel (ch 230 on DirecTV) for Project Xtreme, which is showing the Magic in drydock in Sept. This show repeats again at 10 PM on Sunday and then on Saturday, March 21st, at 7 PM and 11 PM. I'm excited to see what the changes were!

There! I hope I didn't confuse anyone with the misinformation.

I've actually been losing weight over the past year. It's coming off slowly but I'm down 16 lbs since May, and I'm down 24lbs from my highest weight ever of 4 years ago.
WTG, Tammy!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Sorry I missed it...or am I?!?!

I hope it all goes well!!! Let us know when you hear! :goodvibes

Carole's attempt at the quiz...

(1) How many times have you been on a DCL cruise?

(3) What’s your favorite port of call (not including Castaway Cay)?

I cannot wait to go to Castaway Cay... We had rough seas the first time and could not dock there... That was a real bummer. Ask me after the trip!

Carol when in 2001 did you go?? Cause I did the Eastern Caribbean in Nov 2001 and we couldn't dock at Castaway Cay either! Too windy....
That was why we booked again for the next year

Tammy's answers.

(1) How many times have you been on a DCL cruise?

Twice. 3-day in 1998 (we were sweating it out because we were booked for August, the ship was supposed to be ready in May, but it was late and the inaugural voyage wasn’t until July) This was an all adult cruise – me, my cousin, and my mother. Then the 4-day in 2002 with my mother, sister, and her three kids.

(2) What’s your favorite itinerary?

So far the 4-day. I love those days at Sea!

(3) What’s your favorite port of call (not including Castaway Cay)?

I didn’t like Nassau and that was the only place we went.

(4) Best thing to do or see on Castaway Cay?

EVERYTHING! It is so incredibly gorgeous and relaxing.

(5) Where is your favorite place on the ship?

The theater.

(6) What’s your favorite way to relax onboard?

Early morning, poolside, before everyone else gets up.

(7) What’s the best photo opportunity?

My favorite shots were of my first cruise. We got pictures taken at dinner with our waiters who were AWESOME.

(8) What are your favorite things to do on your days at sea?

NOTHING. That is what is great about days at sea. At WDW (or other theme park vacays) you rush, rush, rush. Days at sea are forced relaxation.

(9) What’s the best bargain on the boat?

I can’t remember.

(10) What’s your favorite family activity?

The shows.

(11) What’s your favorite pool?

Quiet Cove, although you can’t help but get caught up in all the excitement at the Mickey Pool.

(12) What’s your kid’s favorite activity?

I didn’t have kids the last time. My daughter informs me that she is excited to do the pajama party. “Mommy, I don’t know what you’re going to do while I’m having all that fun in the kids section.”

(13) Do you have a favorite show/entertainment onboard?

Animator’s Palate. You can definitely consider that a show.

(14) What’s your favorite spa treatment?

I didn’t do spa treatments the last times.

(15) What’s your favorite adult activity?

Comedy club at night.

(16) What’s your favorite adult beverage?

Anything with alcohol! I like wine, I love tequila, shots, and fruit girly drinks!

(17) Where is the best place to eat lunch on embarkation?

It depends on what you want to do. It’s nice to go to Topsider’s and sit and watch the water, but Parrot Cay is a little more relaxing and makes me feel a little more pampered.

(18) Where is the best place to eat breakfast?

Lumiere’s.

(19) What’s your favorite restaurant in the rotation?

Animator's Palate

(20) What is the one must have meal/snack or sweet treat/dessert you must have onboard?

Whatever you’ve never tried before – a cruise is the best place to experiment because if you don’t like something you send it back and order something else! The first time I had escargot was on the DCL.

Wow -- we were all the way on page 2! :scared1:

Ok, so good news :dance3: , Yoni officially got the new job and starts on Monday!   Not as "relieved" as I should be -- still think it will take some time to shake off the stress AND I don't think we will shake off the "thrify" bug anytime soon, but that is a good thing. ;) So, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! :grouphug: You guys really are the BEST!!!!
