~~~ May 16, 2009 ~~~ Western Magic ~~~ Part 2 ~~~ Key Lime Pie-rates ~~~
We went to the store today to try to find travel size Purell (again!). It's sold out EVERYWHERE! Finally we found a massive bottle of it and decided it would do.
*****TIP****
Since we can't find travel size, we bought a Travel size shampoo container and made our own Purell travel size. It'll pass airport inspection and works dandy. So if you can't find the mini's, make your own!
We also found Purell deep cleaning wipes!
I think that you can take as large of a container as you want if it is in the checked luggage and not in your carry-on. According to TSA:
Air travelers may now carry liquids, gels and aerosols in their carry-on bag when going through security checkpoints.
With certain exceptions for prescription and over-the-counter medicines, baby formula, breast milk, and juice, and other essential liquids, gels, and aerosols, the following rules apply to all liquids, gels, and aerosols you want to carry through a security checkpoint.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.
Please keep in mind that these rules were developed after extensive research and understanding of current threats. They are intended to help air travelers bring essential toiletries and other liquids, gels and aerosols for short trips. If you need larger amounts of liquids, gels and aerosols such as toothpaste or shampoo, please place them in your luggage and check them with your airline.
Hey everybody.I too have been to Nassau and I was not impressed. I was wanting to try something different. Has anyone visited the Queen's stairway? Is it worth seeing? This is my third cruise and dont get me wrong I love the beach but living in Florida I can go to the beach all the time so I cruise to find adventure.
Someone mentioned the SHERATON?
I bought some of my fe gifts today..no, I must confess I am not packed nor have I finished shopping. I kinda of like to pace myself. I dont want to get done too soon cuz then I will just go crazy waiting counting the days.
Two more weeks of my daughters Saturday school! She is fourteen and she is taking an AP class at school and they have been required to have class on SATURDAYS for the last months! Her test is in two weeks and if she passes she will already have a college credit to her name...yeah!
To all of you tanners.........I feel your pain! I too got burnt my first week. I am now in my bronzing stage so I should have a good base tan.
AND TO ALL MY MUFFIN TOP FRIENDS!!!!! You know the ones...trying to find thAt perfect pair of capris that hides our sweet muffin tops! May we all go FAT AND HAPPY! I too am an apple! I laughed and said I am going to do the emergency juice diet for two weeks..( sitting on the couch eating Charlston chews) :rotfl:
I HAVE A NEW ROOM NUMBER SINCE MY GREAT UPGRADE! I NEED TO PM IT IN BUT I LEFT THE NEW ROOM NUMBER AT WORK. I will try and run and get it tommorrow...I am still on the second floor just Oceanview!!!!
MY DAUGHTER AND I ON PIRATE NIGHT LAST YEAR!!!!!!
Everything is packed, the car is ready for the trip, money is takin care of!! Not much more needed to be done! Ashley has 3 lists going and most of it has been checked off!! LOL
Wow!! you and Ash are ready to go!!!!:thumbsup2 Now just let the days fly by!!! Can't wait for our first dinner meet with our tablemates!!!
Welllllllll ---- turns out Mother's intuition was right. Kai didn't have allergies (and no, no flu) but he does have Strep! He is doing fine, will go on antibiotics and can even go to school on Monday but, for once, am so glad I took him in instead of assuming it was "nothing"!
Arlight -- off to the pharmacy. Need my kids HEALTHY for our trip in TWELVE days!!!
Awww.....I hope Kai gets better soon!!:hug: Here's a little pixie dust just for Kai!:wizard:
Tonight were having Pirates of the Caribbean marathon! So anyone that wants is invited to come watch!! lol:goodvibes
Shawn said we're on our way!! He LOVES the Pirate series!! I'll bring the popcorn!!!popcorn::
Just called DCL and asked about the potential port change. I got the standard "they are monitoring the situation daily". I am such a planner, that this unknown is bugging me (just a little :)).
I know!!! I wish they would hurry up and make a decision. It helps us plan things alot better!!! Hopefully we know something this week!!!
Mati
- That is a great idea!! I will come right over and will have a pedi day!!!:cutie:
That would be great if we lived closer!!! Shawn and I drove to Wichita Falls Texas yesterday, and I told him, HEY!!! We're now in the same state as Mati now!! :hug: We drive to texas from here in Oklahoma all the time!!!;)
Hi Carole -- I agree with you. No clue what I will do after the cruise. I am trying not to think about it. It is almost like last year. I trained with this great group of gals for the triathalon. We all did it, and then suffered this post-triathalon let down. It was kind of like "what's next?". I think that means we all need to book another cruise on board so we can come right back here and keep chatting!!!!!
Alison -- 3 lbs is GREAT! I can feel your pain (trust me, I can feel your pain) on the ordering clothes. It is so hard to find clothes and getting them online is just not working out for me. Of course, I ordered 2 pairs of crocs for the kids this morning. Hopefully that 1ill work out!!!!
JorDan - not surprised you are getting so many FE orders -- you are really talented! I am sorry if I cursed you. I am sure it will all be just fine. I am only pink in one (ok two :rolleyes1) areas but otherwise am good. I am hoping to tan tomorrow but maybe with some kind of lotion on this time.
Ok -- and Princess...have a really tough time believing you have a muffin top. Babe -- I have seen your pictures, you are as fit as fit can be. All I know is if you think you have a muffin top then I must have some kind of BAGEL or TIRE top!!!! :lmao:
Hi Tiffany! I am so glad you found your formal dress and Congrats on going one day early!!! Don't you just love points? That is how we are staying at the Swan. Love the frequent points programs!!!!
So Andy, we got a flat on the way to your house and by the time the tire was changed, the cheese got all cold on the nachos so we came back home. I guess we'll have to try again another time!!!! :thumbsup2 I can promise you, would be much better than watching the Celtics and the Bulls duke it out (sorry, just not a basketball fan).
Cinda honey -- don't think it was you. I think everyone is assuming it is Nassau but I guess the reality is, we just don't know. I am with you -- just want to know. We have Palo that night and it is Yoni's birthday so lots to figure out if it does change. Now tell me, should I let him off the hook for a second time and let him go diving AGAIN since it would be his actual birthday? I can't decide.....
V -- don't have the info on FE on this computer. Do you still need it? I can email you the list to a different address or put it on FB. I need to send you my Mexican Martini recipe anyways.
As for swine flu -- seems like a lot of the panic is subsiding. Yoni's mom told us she could send us some TamiFlu (from Switzerland) if we need it but I don't think we need to take her up on it. Hopefully it will all be ok and this time next week, won't be more than a blip on the news.
And for the record -- we have confirmed cases in Austin but not that many. Thankfully, the kids still have school.
Purell is sold out here too. My mom got me some 8oz ones from Office Max of all places. I have the little bottles already so will just refill from the big ones and take a big one on the cruise with us. Had already planned on taking purell and some lysol wipes so nothing new there -- just harder to find!
Briarroselynn -- GREAT picture!!!! I think we are looking for another beach day at the Sheraton so maybe not up your alley if you want adventure. I read on the main board the Segue tour there is fantastic. My kids are too young but it could work for you? I am with you -- I haven't packed although my dining room table is covered with stuff already -- AND I still have a lot of shopping to get done.
I am jealous that you have a base tan already. I hope I am there in 2 weeks time. Sounds like you have a brilliant daughter! Fantastic that she will be 14 and have college credits!!!!
Belinda -- Kai is doing just fine. You wouldn't know he was sick if I didn't tell you. Kids are so funny. How will that sweet little boy -- who will not show any sign of illness -- turn into a fully grown man who is at death's bed at any sign of sore throat (oh you know it will happen).....
Isn't it funny -- you are just one state away but gosh darn it, Texas is so dang big. That's ok. We are ready for you guys to come visit us. We have the guest room all ready for you!
Ok -- the basketball game is about over so now need to work on convincing Yoni that he "owes" me a backrub. ;)
Have a good night everyone!!!!
JorDan - Congrats on being all packed!! Thanks for the tip about the copies, I'm also going to copy the credit cards that we are taking. I also have on my list to call the credit card companies to let them know that we are traveling so they don't cut us off.
Mati - Good eye on the strep. At least he will be healthy for the trip.
Sonya - hope the flight was uneventful and you are toasty warm basking in the Florida warmth.
Kim - Are you staying at the DVC Villas? I'll have to check to see if we can check in at the OKW resort online.
Carole - I had just finished typing in a long message (including how when I normally do that I copy and save the text before hitting send). Well that is all well and good except that I hit Alt-something and my message disappeared!!:rotfl2:
I too can't wait to meet everyone. Just having all this time before the trip has made the planning so much more fun. I'm sure the cruise will be a blast!
Andy - The Pirates marathone sounds like a great way to spend the evening. I think I might pop in our WDW dvds to get it the mood.
Tiffany - congrats on the formal dress. Where did you end up? Getting 2 for 1 and getting to start early is great.
I too wanted to drop some weight before the cruise. I started going to the gym every week and even though I have seen some difference in the way my clothes fit I lost a total of 3 lbs (in three months). Oh well, everyone tells me I shouldn't focus on the number on the scale. But DANG I was really trying and I still didn't lose much. I will probably still be trying to be good while on vacation but my downfalls are desserts so I'll be joining the morning walkers.
We spent the day running errands - we've gotten haircuts (and eyebrows done for me as well), grocery shopping and picking up all the last items on our list. We couldn't find purell AT ALL in the stores. I have a bottle that we will be putting into smaller bottles. We've virtually finished packing. We are shipping a box this week to meet us at OKW next week. It has our formal clothes, FE stuff, over the door shoe hanger, etc. I just have to add my hairdryer, curling iron and make-up (stuff I can't pack till we are ready to leave). I told Jim its a good thing that I've been working out because my bag weights a TON. Good thing I'll have him to lift and jerk it into the overhead compartment.
I still have a lot left to do - prep meals for the boys to eat for two weeks. Call the credit card companies, check with Verizon to get set up for calling from Nassau and Grand Caymen (its got to be cheaper than the $7 per MINUTE that we'll be charged on the ship). We go to the lawyers on Friday to sign our wills and trust paperwork (we've been really bad and just getting to it finally but wanted to make sure we had it finalized before we left the boys home alone). I'm still trying to find a photo mat that I like. I might just give up and get one at WDW, I should be able to find something there.
Hope everyone has a good night - will check in again tomorrow.
I wasn't home today really so I'm just getting a chance to pop in now. For anyone who is iffy on tanning, consider trying something like Jergens Natural Glow Express. It works quite well and there's no shame in it. It's the only "tanning" I will do now. I wish I'd gotten serious about it even younger. Skin Cancer & looking a single second older than I have to are two things I'd really like to avoid. lol Anyway, it's a thought for those who are iffy about tanning.
I'm much more caught up now, thank goodness. It was too crazy for a bit there. I have part 2 at the dentist Monday and family coming on the 9th & 10th. I have lots of cleaning around here to do, laundry, packing etc. but it's seeming in control now. I couldn't possibly pack most clothing this early, since I need to be wearing it. The last days before a vacation though, I end up wearing the junkiest stuff I have because everything I like is packed. Those days aren't pretty. lol
About the whole losing weight before the cruise, thing...I've been dieting for a good while. I mostly always am. (not that I"m not still quite a bit overweight- just so I don't give the wrong impression) I have to and I hate it, but I hate the alternative quite a bit more. I won't be trying to eat particularly healthy on the cruise, because that won't be any sort of vacation for me, and I'm so picky I might have enough trouble eating as it is. lol At home I spend my life counting, measuring, planning and documenting every darn calorie, and now and then a break from that is nice. I am annoyed that lately I've been eating more than I should with all the errand running we've been doing. I'm not a person who can get away with lapses like that. I'm hoping now things will settle down enough that I can go back into my pre-trip ultra-conservative eating mode and maybe find the time to workout some each day. I know I'd feel better on the 16th, if I manage this. I hope we all get our wish of losing at least a few more before the cruise!
Mati - I'm sorry Kai has strep, but I'm glad you were persistent and caught it when you did!
/
Well...The Marathon went well...It was LONG...lol Ash fell asleep in the middle of the 3rd one! We didn't have any nachos and cheese, but the popcorn was good!! lol:laughing:
AHH We can't wait to get out of here!!! Lets go cruising!
Good Morning all!
Jane -- sounds like you had a super busy and productive Saturday. You are leaving in a week! I guess that is how I will feel after I get back from California. I read that the weather is high 60's to low 70's. Is that right? It will be a change from here where we are mostly in the 80's. I suppose I will wear my slacks to the conference.
Andy -- I could never make it through that last POC movie. It was too weird and I got way too tired. I can see why Ash fell asleep. I am sorry you missed the nachos. Next time I'll bring fajitas ok? Is that a deal? ;)
Robin -- I am impressed with your dedication to diet. I need to do the same. I have all sorts of issues with that but like you, won't stress too much on the cruise. I am going to take the stairs everywhere and hope to walk a ton. It would be nice to hit the gym a couple of times during the week too. Now, this self-tanner. I wanted to do that but shied away because I read that it will come off in a chlorinated pool. I read terrible (hilarious really) stories of it streaking off after getting out of the hot tub on the ship. For that reason, and to hope I don't burn in the intense sun, I opted for the fake and bake. I am Mexican-American so normally tan pretty easily. I am hoping that now that I am off this medicine, I won't have any more problems -- I might have a pimple or two, but they will be brown! :rotfl2:
So, today is all about shopping and getting ready for my business trip tomorrow. I am going to create our packing list, hold a fashion show with the kids (what I call it when they try on clothes for me) and then go buy everything everyone else needs so they are set. If I find something for me in the meantime, great but if I can have all 3 of them done today -- awesome!
I have a question for all of you with young boys (or girls). Kai is potty trained but does have the random accident at night. Usually when he has too much to drink before bed or is waaaayyyyy too tired and sleeps through it. This morning he was super cute, came up to me and said "Mommy, last night I got really really sweaty while I was sleeping so my bed got a little tiny bit wet." I asked him, "Kai, are you sure you didn't wet your bed? I won't be mad, it's ok". He said "No, I was just a very very sweaty so my bed and my pants got a little bit wet so I just changed my pants". Ummmm...we went to check it out and of course, you can guess what happened. I don't know why he didn't want to tell me the truth -- we never give him a hard time but it was also sort of cute.
Ok, long story to a short question. If he wets the bed on the ship -- what then? Do the room attendents clean it up? Is it a big deal? I can bring pullups for him but he doesn't normally wear them. What do you guys do??
Alright -- off to make the kids breakfast. I am sure I will be back later....Have a good day everyone!!!
This is just a quick check in, I'm hoping to get a chance later today to really do throught the last few pages!! Yesterday was super busy I had a great morning workout and then had a wedding to go to. Ok, so girls I am also have a muffin top so I'm joining the club! I'm fortunate that I don't gain alot of weight in my stomach but my love handles, bottom, and thighes are ridiculous. Oh and if I do happen to lose weights it's always on top! :confused3
Congrats on those that are getting packed! I hoping to be able to work on that today, yippee!
Mati - I know someone mentioned about the times for the tasting. Are you still keeping track of the times people are most interested in. If you are when you send out the updated list I'll update the mini nav and put the date beside that individual. For example if I was interested in the 5/18 tasting at 3:00 I'll put something like Lynsey (5/18) in whatever tasting column. I think that just might work! I just now saw a Jose Cuervo commercial what I'm typing this and thought of your puppy!
Must run off now but will be catching up later! :dance3:
Good Morning all!
Andy -- I could never make it through that last POC movie. It was too weird and I got way too tired. I can see why Ash fell asleep. I am sorry you missed the nachos. Next time I'll bring fajitas ok? Is that a deal? ;)
lol yes it is weird! Is there a 4th one comming out? i HOPE so, i love the movies! Yes Fajitas sounds good for next time:hippie:
Oh well, im off to find something to do this wonderful sunday... Ashley is working today! So I am alone! lol maybe ill clean out the tool box!
Have a great Sunday everyone!!
I did not have a name for the little pillow of fat (along with the +50 skin that has given in to gravity) that billows over the top of my pants, so thank you all for giving me "muffin top." At least now I can grin just a bit when I mistakenly look in the mirror while dressing. :eek: That muffin top is the main reason I have not been able to pack yet; I keep looking for the magic pants that sit low enough to avoid it or the magic shirts that don't cling to and accent it. So far none have appeared! Maybe we can all just agree that muffin tops are the most beautiful body part ever known, sought after by all and to be recognized and congratulated??? :yay:
Hi! I haven't been here in a few days. :sad1: Hudson had his Field Day at school on Friday afternoon, and then we delivered May baskets & ended up at our favorite local pizza place with friends. YUM! Yesterday we had football games at 9, 10, 11, and 12. Ugh. The boys & I then made a quick stop in Cato to look for some shorts, but having them with me cut it pretty short. That was the first time I've been in there. I wish I had more time to look around. Seems like nice stuff! Maybe another day... I started getting the boys' clothes laid out but now have to figure out mine to see what we'll all be wearing for dinners and then take the pix of them all laid out for each night so I don't forget! :laughing: I wanted to get more done yesterday, but we went to my cousin's house for supper & the NASCAR race (and looked at pix from their trip to Atlantis a few years ago...they loved it--but it was also a free trip :rolleyes1). I thought of Amanda, Carole, and Alison when I saw the race was in Virginia! (BTW, I'm not a big NASCAR fan, but my cousin & his family are, so it was an excuse to get together, which we do quite a bit since they have 3 boys 7 & under also.) My parents were there, too, (and they ARE big NASCAR fans--Jr. & Harvick, I think) so there was a lot of cruise talk last night, too. We had to laugh :laughing: because they bicker non stop all the time, (they have for 22 yrs, so it's nothing new! Just a warning for our tablemates! :scared:) so my mom said she's going to start out every day with a Bloody Mary and change to Margaritas at noon. :lmao: Let's just say I'm thinking the same as Amanda and am glad we didn't get connecting rooms! :thumbsup2 They're hoping to upgrade to a veranda at the port anyway. Mom & I were on the phone to each other yesterday at 4 PM CST when the Magic sailed away!
Tim--thanks for the packing list! I'll be printing and modifying it suit my needs! And thanks for the TSA guidelines, too! :thumbsup2
Laura--someone (Dave, maybe?) had posted a link a couple weeks ago to a military travel site that showed exactly which room were available yet. I'll go back and see if I can find it, unless Dave wants to post it again for us! (Of course, I didn't add it to my favorites.) :sad2: Oh, and I changed your dining to early on post #4!
Any other changes I need to make for anyone?
I need to get my pedi scheduled sometime next week but just don't know when will be a good time. Too many field trips that I offered to drive for! :scared: I'm anxious to get my special Disney paint job again! :thumbsup2 We accidentally forgot about our haircuts (and my eyebrow wax) last week, so I also need to find time to fit that in yet this week.
Mati--hope your burn is getting better by now! I also think of how much stuff I could get done by staying off here, but an addiction is a hard thing to break! :lmao:
Amy&Sue (briarroselynn)--you make me want to move to Florida!! WTG on the free upgrade!! :thumbsup2 GREAT PIX, too! Sounds like a fun trip to Hawaii! And smart kids rock! BTW, in the Hawaii pic, are you on the left and Sue on the right? Just want to keep names & faces straight! (Notice I called you Amy&Sue instead of Amy & Sue? That's to keep it staight in my mind that I'm talking to you and not Amy [aimathy] and Sue [suezyq50]...it doesn't take much to confuse me!) :lmao:
Lynsey--let us know what your parents think of the KLP!!
Sonya--I'm sorry I didn't get you some "safe travel wishes" before you left, but I'm picturing you at WDW right now!!!! :goodvibes
Cinda--I'm glad all went well with the flu patient. You also mentioned the Carnival cruise has changed their itinerary, but was that for the May 16th one, too, or just the May 2nd? I'm actually not surprised that nothing has been decided on for ours yet. I WISH they would decide, but it seems like info about the swine flu changes every day (according to the news anyway...maybe you know more from the CDC than the gen-pop does). I'm still hoping for CC again. That's what we had originally wanted to schedule anyway, but they obviously didn't have any DDip itineraries in spring 2009. Okay, I just got to the post that Steve says it's been decided on Nassau. Are you sure that's for us, too? There isn't a msg on the DCL website for us like there was for yesterday's sailing. :confused3 Okay, maybe I shouldn't start posting until I've read everything! :laughing: Cinda--I just saw your post about implying we were going to Nassau.
It seems the swine flu has hit Nebraska, too--1 confirmed case so far. Two communities about 2 hrs away closed schools on Friday. :scared: They also have large Mexican populations, so that may be why. Hudson has several English Language Learner kids in his class (started school not knowing any English), and they frequently will miss school for weeks or months at at time to go back to Mexico. I would hope any school wouldn't let anyone recently visiting Mexico back in immediately upon returning, but I doubt that's even legal to deny kids from attending because of their travels. :confused3 As far as I know, though, no one in his class has been gone recently.
WTG JorDan!! :woohoo: All I have to say is that you must have a TON of clothes if you can pack them and not need them in the next two weeks! :rotfl2:
Kathy (dznyacct)--I know what you mean about the feelings about the 23rd! Just to warn everyone, I will be like :sad: not only because I'm leaving the ship but also because I'm leaving all of you!
I'm trying to go with the "crash diet" (I did it almost 4 yrs ago and kept it off for nearly 2 yrs...took some darn temporary meds that packed it back on, though, and STILL can't get it off!). We're so close and am just now realizing that my efforts on the elliptical are not paying off. Here I am sweating away right now, and I'm probably still going to have the muffin top. :sad2: (Darn kids gave me the love handles during pregnancy!) :laughing: I actually bought an exercise ball & hand weights yesterday hoping for some instant results. :rotfl2: Yeah, right...like that'll happen. I'm sure all the drinks, desserts, and pastries will ruin anything I might be able to accomplish in the next 2 weeks anyway. Now I'll just need everyone else's motivation to walk every day on the ship! :goodvibes I'm glad we're all admitting to our muffin tops! :grouphug:
Andy--sorry I missed out on the POC marathon! We haven't seen #3 yet. Oh, snap! Did I miss out on Belinda bringing the popcorn?!?! I LOVE POPCORN!! popcorn:: I eat it almost every night! :goodvibes
Has anyone seen anything posted on the main forum about the construction at the pier that Mati mentioned? I haven't been there in days, but I'm sure if anyone from here saw anything they would post it here, too.
Tiffany--WTG on snagging a formal dress for cheap! How exciting to add an extra day to your vacation!
I'm going to start my "tube tan" also. Of course, mine is Mary Kay! ;)
Mati--we didn't have a potty accident last time, but we did have Lennon's puke accident. :scared: A stateroom attendant came and cleaned it up (not our regular one since he was "off duty," even though he was just in our room ~10 min before that). We gave him an extra tip for cleaning it up.
Okay, time to get off the elliptical and go take a shower. 107 minutes and only 675 calories burned. :sad2: I like seeing the 1000 calorie mark when I can stay on for more than 2 hrs. C'mon, muffin top, GO AWAY!!
People traveling with babies!! READ ASAP
I was looking at the DCL website this morning and went to the Castaway Club page and noticed this:
http://www.babiestravellite.com/?AFFIL=DCL
It's a special service where you can order things to use while on the cruise. It could save a TON of room with packing. Hurry if you are interested, it said to order at least 2 weeks in advance!!!!
Also all this talk about Muffin tops...
I was writing out my Last minute packing list. Instead of writing 'Flat Iron', I accidently wrote 'Flat Tire'. haha:laughing:haha
Yes my flat tire will be with me...duh!
muffin-top.jpg
Ok everyone have a great day....I'm off to drool over Zac Efron in '17 Again'
It's ok Cinda...we all need to just take a breather and unfortunately waif for the official word.
As for Utah, they have confirmed Swine Flu in Park City from a kid who went to Mexico for spring break. Like all other cases, he's already recovered from it.
We went to the store today to try to find travel size Purell (again!). It's sold out EVERYWHERE! Finally we found a massive bottle of it and decided it would do.
*****TIP****
Since we can't find travel size, we bought a Travel size shampoo container and made our own Purell travel size. It'll pass airport inspection and works dandy. So if you can't find the mini's, make your own!
We also found Purell deep cleaning wipes!
I found a pack of three empty travel size bottles at Target for $1. They were in the dollar section and I got them to use for mouthwash and for the purell.
I had to look at the picture twice!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
FUNNY!!!!
That's me in last year's capris!!! (OK, and pretty much the same look for my slightly larger new capris.)
That image is precious.
By the way, does the spa do liposuction? Maybe that would be a good at-sea day activity. I was planning to water-ski off the back of the boat on Monday, but maybe muffin-lipo would be a better option.
I have a question for all of you with young boys (or girls). Kai is potty trained but does have the random accident at night. Usually when he has too much to drink before bed or is waaaayyyyy too tired and sleeps through it. This morning he was super cute, came up to me and said "Mommy, last night I got really really sweaty while I was sleeping so my bed got a little tiny bit wet." I asked him, "Kai, are you sure you didn't wet your bed? I won't be mad, it's ok". He said "No, I was just a very very sweaty so my bed and my pants got a little bit wet so I just changed my pants". Ummmm...we went to check it out and of course, you can guess what happened. I don't know why he didn't want to tell me the truth -- we never give him a hard time but it was also sort of cute.
Ok, long story to a short question. If he wets the bed on the ship -- what then? Do the room attendents clean it up? Is it a big deal? I can bring pullups for him but he doesn't normally wear them. What do you guys do??
Alright -- off to make the kids breakfast. I am sure I will be back later....Have a good day everyone!!!
If you don't want Kai to feel bad by having him wear a pull-up, so consider getting one of those bed pads that are like changing pads but are a little bigger. You put them on top of the sheets and it made it easier to clean up in case there was an accident. You can even get the disposable ones and that way you can throw it out.
