Welcome aboard. Check out page one for the various events, links, etc.

We still need to know cabin number correct?

Cabin numbers are pretty helpful! :thumbsup2 But it looks like a lot of people are GTY. Whoever signs up as organizer for the FE can bring a list to the meet and everyone can update their room numbers there. Another idea would be to make FE magnets color-coded to each group, one per cabin, so that for we know for sure which FE group a stateroom is in? It could also help ID rooms that have moved - I know I have a bad habit of just wandering the decks looking for FEs and don't always pay as close attention to the stateroom number! :rolleyes1

I suggest that FE people use their list before delivering gifts. On the PC it was discovered that some people had FE pockets BUT were not in our DIS group. I don't know if the "wrong / non-DISer" misunderstood how the FEs worked or if their family was doing one for their own members. We were talking to some other DISers in the hall and someone came by and thanked us for the great gifts and said they'd have to join the group next time!

And it was discovered some DISers did not get all of the gifts so we assume that they were put into other FE pockets.

I'm actually usually pretty careful - though I feel really bad when I end up skipping someone on the list if I can't find their updated room, or there's no FE outside the room I expect. I do try a re-delivery if I get a gift from them with their room number on it.

However, I have found a room update accidentally - I look for DIS names or real names on the door magnets to get a feel for if it's someone on my list. I also usually have a couple of small extra gifts and just drop them in any extra FEs I happen to find - just to add a little extra magic to the cruise for others. :)

I am planning on doing the CC 5K, although I'm more of a walker (with occasional spurts of jogging) than a runner. I'll also be in the fitness center or on deck walking laps throughout the cruise so I can have a few more desserts. :rolleyes1

I can fast walk with you :goodvibes I was also interested in doing the CC 5K ! I think that a few of us are already thinking of doing the deck walking laps with a CM in the mornings so we can have desserts :dance3:

????????????????
We booked the return flight home w/Disney, can we stay a couple extra days in Barcelona:confused3 or do we have to return as scheduled

So 15 weeks from now many of us will be flying down to Orlando to stay the night before the cruise somewhere in Florida. I was just kind of curious as to how many people will be staying at various locations.

We're staying at the MCO Hyatt Friday night and then taking Disney transport to the port in the AM. We did this on our last cruise and it worked out well so we decided to stick with the same plan.

A really nice place is the Residence Inn By Marriott, very clean and it's actually 3 to 5 minutes from the port oh yeah big rooms, 2 br, Lr, kitchenette.

Just booked excursions and Palo today! So excited to be makeing more plans for the trip. Now I know how much money to put on the shipboard account before we go!

I noticed there was talking about FE and who is still around and excited about the FE. We are still in for group one! I know someone asked for an update.

Thank you for everyone who is putting things together. Does anyone need any help with anything. I am not an expert but willing to jump in and help out. :) You can PM me or post a note here. I will do much better now about being on the boards until sail date!

We are on the final countdown now!

We do need cabin numbers for FE and as the GTY rooms get their assignments, they can update accordingly. The other problem is families taking or getting upgrades at the port. So what I've experienced in the past is the one organizer will keep a clipboard on their door and anyone who takes or gets and upgrade at port and changes room numbers can update it on that spreadsheet and everyone else can check there.

Couple questions:

For those of you who have had laundry services done on the ship, do you recall the price?

If I remember correctly it is okay to bring a case of water on. Do I need to carry it on or can I leave to be delivered to my room?

What the latest about wine. I assume it is still okay to bring wine as long as I carry in my carry on. Is this correct?

I am thinking about bringing 2 suitcases or packing a smaller one inside the bigger one on the way to MCO. I am concerned about being over weight limit on the way home once I buy gifts for my family. My mother in law works for United. She told me that it would be Approx. $50 to check an extra suitcase or $250 fee for overweight limit.
I will have to weigh suitcase once I start packing.

Thanks for the welcome.

We're looking forward to the trip. Booked air home from Amsterdam, and air from Barcelona to Amsterdam. We also have the night before the cruise booked at AKL. We'll be taking a car service to the port early the next morning, because dd is one of those, "get there before the gates open" types.

So now we have to book air down to MCO but will be using Southwest vouchers.

For people who have done this trip before- any links/ advice about getting into Seville from Cadiz on your own? Thanks.

I have not used the laundry service other than for pressing only my formal dress- I think it was about 10.00 . I do know the laundry room was $2.00 per wash and $2.00 to dry and $1.00 per soap. I remember the prices were high - so if you were doing just a few things it was ok - but for a family of 4.... I remember 2.50 for a pair of underwear ...

Water still ok to bring on - but have to carry on. there are various stories of porters checking it for a big tip but "official" dcl policy is carry on liquids.

Wine, beer, etc. - also still ok as long as you carry it on. I bought ours at the ABC store in Cocoa beach and carried it on in a reuseable bag they gave me at the store. - HTH :)

I can not believe the cost to wash undergarments:eek: You'd be better off buying a new pack and throwing the dirty away.

I will definitely be doing laundry.

We have stopped at ABC in Coca Beach, too.

Thanks for the suggestion. :thumbsup2 The Hyatt works well for us because we arrive at MCO after 8PM and it's nice to be able to walk from baggage claim to the hotel in less than 2 minutes. We'll get a good night's sleep and then hop on Disney transport to the port.

Can't believe it's 15 weeks from today!!
