My family and I were just at WDW for our birthdays, and while at DownTown Disney, we made family shirts for the cruise!!! Just a suggestion 'cause it's fun!!!!

Do you think it would be possible to have a column on the FE for first names? I would like to have them for my FE gift.

we need them for something too, I was just going to flip to the roll call page to get first names.

I got it yesterday. DCL did about "best available" with seat assignments. I changed one, but only by a few rows. Trying to find out how to put our skymiles numbers in on the Delta site...but if I can't find it, I can add it at the airport.

Ordered Delta American Express card to get free luggage (no card fee first year).

I also order the American Express card. One bag free for up to 9 people traveling with me!


To add skymile reward number.
When you log into the Delta site. Pick "my trips" on the right. You then enter your name and reservation number .This will take you to the opening page of your 'trip details'. Right below the flight info is 'passenger details', it has all the names of the people traveling in your travel party. Under the individual names there is a spot for skymiles number.

super excited, Missy and I have been poring over pictures and looking at so many cool ideas for FEE gifts, but we have things narrowed down now. Will just have to save the other ideas for a future cruise.

OK, I'm probably just a bit crazy, but why do you want our flight info on the spread sheet? I'm honestly asking why this is anyone's concern besides me, DCL, and my TA.

I don't think anyone specifically wants it. It's just another thing some families have in common and can share. People on the same flight can try to sit together if they want, share transport, etc.

But certainly if you don't want to put it in then don't.

It was just so people could see who is possibly on the flight with them. We did this for the WBTA last year and it helped people connect ahead of time with others on their flight, especially sharing transportation to the airport if not using DCL transfers.

You do not have to share the information, just some of us wanted to connect with others who might be on our flights - especially those flying DCL air since they have a tendacy to use the same flights.

I love a bargain and refuse to p[ay full price for anything. I read part of the cabana thread. Now I am considering it....ONLY if a family of 2 or 3 wants to split it (you can have 6 total for the 499)

It's an idea for is someone has a child or 2 and wants a little cozy area and rest for the littles while playing or coming and going but doesn't want to pay 499 for just them.

Anyone interested in splitting please PM me! My little girl is 4 if that helps someone decide, a playmate would be great!

I was thinking this morning that my family should take our (mostly) matching UNC t-shirts to wear one day. That got me to thinking - maybe we should pick a couple of sea days as "theme" days for the DIS group. The idea is that we'd pick a theme - and all wear something that falls into it.

The one I was thinking of was "Sports Teams". This means wearing a tee-shirt or jersey or something representing your hometown or local area sports team - or just your favorite. So my family would wear UNC t-shirts, but our local high school or the Carolina Panthers work as well.

Something that would be more obvious would be a color-themed day - everyone wears a shirt of that color. Like green (preferably lime) or red or blue. Actually, it would be cool to get a group photo on a color-themed day!

I thought it might be a neat way to confuse the rest of the ship as they see a couple hundred people wearing the same-ish thing. I thought it could be fun to do a couple of times - any more than that might make packing more difficult - or create more laundry!

After a 2-14 season and a resident of Charlotte, Panthers jerseys aren't a real popular choice of apparel at the moment. Sorry.

I just wanted to share some VERY IMPORTANT info with those of you that are new or have not seen this before. It can be found on the main Disboard page.

The site has been asked by to relay the following message regarding stateroom door decorations on DCL ships:
More and more guests are choosing to express their family pride and enthusiasm for Disney Cruise Line by decorating their stateroom doors aboard our ships.

As you might imagine, it is very important to us to keep our facilities looking their best for all our guests.

As part of our commitment to this area of focus, we ask that guests no longer affix anything to their stateroom door utilizing any adhesive or tape.

We have found that these adhesives damage the finish on the stateroom doors and therefore ask that guests limit door decoration to those of the magnetic variety.
Unofficially, what I'm hearing is that DCL is considering the possibility of levying surcharges on people who damage the door finish with adhesives. They're trying to avoid that because the really do appreciate the passion and creativity that people are putting into this, but the issue with the finishes coming off the doors is getting to be a real issue. I know some have already received this notice on-board the ship, but I wanted to make sure it's out there for everyone.
