Q1) Can anyone tell me how I just post a question without replying to someone else?

Do you mean like starting your own thread on the Cruise Forum Board?

Is a "new thread" a new question within THIS series of messages about the cruise we'll be on starting May 13 (which is currently 77 pages) or will creating a new thread take me to a whole new group of messages? I just wanted to post a new question in this series and the only readily apparent method was to reply to someone else. That seemed awkward given that my question had nothing to do with previous posts.

Sorry for my ignorance. I'm a very experienced PC user but haven't spent much time in forums so I'm not familiar with the jargon.

Q2, 3 & 4) We opted not to do an excursion on St. Thomas and instead to explore the island. Does anyone have recommendations for a family that includes 2 boys (ages 10 and 12)? We're interested in some shopping but not "high end" and in seeing the sights. Any recommendations regarding transportation there?

Taxis will be plentiful as soon as you get off the ship. We dock next to a shopping area, so that is an option. You could venture to St Johns, very close to where we dock is a tram that takes you to the top of a mountain/hill that overlooks the bay...

No, a new thread would be starting a whole new message, from the sound of what you are saying I don't think you want to do that.

To ask a question, you just click on the Post Reply box and type in your question or remark. I hope this answered your question.

Hi, my name is Sage and I am an 8 year old girl. Are there any 8-9 year old girls on this cruise? I am really excited to be going. I have a slight fever and sore throat and my mom will not let me play with anyone because she hopes I am better by Wednesday, the day we fly into Orlando. I am using (with premission) my mom's login. If there are any girls 8 -9 (lab age) let me know so we can meet.

Hi Sage! My name is Michaela, and I am 8 years old. I'm really excited about going on the cruise, and I hope I can meet you. We are staying at the Radisson hotel before and after the cruise. I hope we can play together. See you soon, Michaela Dornfeld. :woohoo:

It's so fun seeing everyone's pictures! Can't wait to meet everyone.

I wanted to bring my daughters princess dresses but didn't know when they should wear them. The character breakfast sounds like the perfect time! I'll have Cinderella, Tinkerbell and Snow White with me, although I'm sure my youngest will insist on wearing her Pooh bear outfit.

I asked DH to try and take Thursday off too. We have so much to do that day and I think just having him around will take some of the stress off me. :goodvibes

Well off to pack some more!

If I knew how to insert a picture, I would :confused3 Can anybody give me instructions?

One of the easiest ways I've found to post pics here is to load them into a www.Photobucket.com free account. Once the photo is loaded, all you need to do is look under the photo, you should see three boxes. Go to the 3rd box and copy the url address, then come back to the thread and paste the url address in your post.

Lee,

This is our 4th DCL cruise, and we have seen little girls coming to dinner in Princess dresses just about every evening.

This is our kids Cameron & Mitchell - it doesn't really do justice to the no teeth but he had no front teeth in this picture

Just wanted to wish these 2 cuties a great cruise.. ( and all )

The less teeth you have, the less you have to brush ! :teeth: :teeth:

OK try this, go to your photobucket account, look at the top of the page where you will see "account options" click on there, then go to the "User Info" box, once there, see where the words "Max Picture Size" and select 256Kb, that's the size I use to display my photos.

Thanks, now here goes! Still way too big, really didn't change! I'm back & forth to the computer & trying to pack--I think I will try again later!
Thanks Veranda Man

We still have yet to pack a thing and it's making me really nervous! We'll be gone tomorrow evening and Tuesday evening at games/practices too so we have to try and pack some tonight, and maybe Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. To top things off, DH was getting his fairly new Honda Pilot inspected and an oil change and the Good Year mechanic accidentally totally scraped from the front to the rear of the driver's side with a tool right down to the metal as he walked by it. Now we have to deal with getting that to the auto body shop Wednesday morning to be painted while we are gone, our dog to her kennel and get ds8 out of school and to the airport.

We were at the sport fields all day today. Ds8's baseball team is now in first place. They played a really great, really close game. His team will play the same team on 5/13 and his coaches are not thrilled he will not be there or 3 other games. I told them he loves baseball, but 10 years from now he's going to remember the trip he went on, not the games he missed.

I will try and fiddle later with photobucket to attempt to upload a picture. If I can't and someone can post one or two for me, I can email pictures.

I saw the url address for your photo in the e-mail notice that was sent out by the DIS, I tried to make your pic smaller for easier viewing, but it still came out real large, this has me baffled as well.

I'd be more than happy to help you post pics if needed. I'll send you a PM with my e-mail address.

Thanks Andy,

I'll check my email account. I did make an account in photobucket. I download my pictures using a Kodak Easy Share program. Can I transfer those ones to photbucket somehow or do I have to download new ones to the photobucket account?

Here are two pics that Danielle sent in.

Danielle please let me know if I have any of the names wrong.

Thank you Andy. You got the names correct.

I went through a bunch of our photo files from the last year and that was one of our only pictures of all 4 of us! I am the one that is usually snapping pictures. DS5 (Brennan) won that little white bear in the Space Mountain Arcade and insisted on having it in all our pictures that day.

We are downloading pictures from our 2 digital camerason our other computer so we can delete the memory cards and pack up the cameras. We are packing up the lap top and all the chargers for everything.

We were waiting earlier for the kids to fall asleep to start packing other cruise related stuff. It feels like waiting to bring down their Christmas gifts from the attic on Christmas Eve to put under the tree! It's been chilly here all spring and we haven't been wearing shorts regularly so we are going to be glowingly pale white. I sure hope our 7 cans of sunscreen keep us from burning!

Thanks again for posting the pictures Andy!

Not a problem Danielle, I was happy to help!!! :goodvibes
