Great Pictures Hanover. I just figured it out today and as you can see I liked it

Well, DH was not to happy about him being put on the thread, I promise there are better ones of him but I personally like that one.

Hygiene 99 - Jenn - I sent you a PM thanks for posting, I am going to let the boys know their Hygienist is watching them even on vacation so they need to brush like crazy even when away :lmao: Thanks for the well wishes

V-Man - I am wondering about sports network onboard - I posted a question earlier and Dr. C. found me but neither of us know the answer. The DH's are looking for the hockey playoffs they start next week! Any ideas if they will broadcast any and how would I find out. Mostly on OLN network occasionally on NBC.

Hanover, the boys are so handsome - can't wait to get them all together - should be fun.

:wizard: We only have "5 Days" to go!!! :wizard:

Carolyn, I'll see if I can find out an answer to this question for you. I don't know myself, but I'll ask someone who might know.

I am going to post DD and I. Let me see if this works.

This is us in WDW last year. Our dd is hugging my dh. The other is my niece. It is hard to find a pic with all three of us since dh is always taking the pics.

My hair is a bit longer and darker than in this pic. dh and dd look the same, although dd is now about 4 inches taller!

Hi everyone,
Please excuse me posting on your thread but since it is almost time for your cruise I just wanted to make sure that any of you that are perhaps flying in and renting a car to get to the port know about the detours.
Florida has lots of brush fires near the port. Most roads are closed due to smoke. There are alternate routes, but it will take you longer to get to the port and it will have roads closed, but NO detour signs to direct you, so be prepared ahead of time with an alternate route. Use Map quest or something, plus keep in mind even if the road is open and yous tart out, they can close it and send you back. This happened to us on our 3 day cruise this past weekend. They say these fires will have to burn themselves out, which could take a few weeks.
Call 511 when you get to Florida for road closures and hopefully they will also tell you which route to take. The road signs tell you to tune the radio into 1300 a.m., but there was NOTHING on that station when we tried.

Again, excuse me for buting in on your thread, I just wanted to warn you so maybe nobody will miss their cruise, we barely made it!!!

Wishing you all a very Magical cruise!!!

Thank you for the information! We'll be sure to leave in plenty of time. It's not like we'll be sleeping the night before anyway! Hope you had a great cruise. We are sure looking forward to ours!!

It's great to see everyone's families and put faces to names!

Our paperchain has 2 links now!!

Today is ds5's last day of preschool (EVER!) since we will be flying out Wednesday afternoon and he'll miss that day's class.

It's raining here so I'm hoping soccer practice will be cancelled tonight. DS5 will not be playing his game this weekend so I may just have him skip it anyway if they do have it so we can get some packing done. His poor team hasn't scored a goal all season and they are just desperate for one goal. I think it may rain tomorrow too. The heat in Orlando is going to be a killer at first! There is only going to be a high of 57 here today compared to the 90's on our trip.

Looks like we are going to have to cut the grass again before we go. The rain seems to sprout it a good 4 inches! I sure don't want the HOA (Homeowners Assoc.) to fine us for tall grass. We do have a landscaper to come cut while we are gone. We have to cancel our mail and papers today.

Carolyn, thanks for the nice responses to the pics. I'm sure the boys will get along great. Keegan tends to be extremely shy but loves when he's in a group of boys to play any kind of sports. Brennan is the least shy child I know and loves to talk to anyone and blabs until he falls asleep (and sometimes in his sleep!)

Now I'm feeling guilty I haven't brought in cupcakes to ds8's class for his birthday this week. Didn't even think of it until today. I guess we can do that after the trip!

Anyone ordering from Shriley confirm their purchases of buckets, etc?

I ordered a while ago and need to make sure everything is still a go.

Have a great day and see you all soon!

Momx4: Thanks for the updates. We began hearing rumblings that this could effect us last week. I posted on another thread on how to find out if the roads were closed, didnt get a response that I saw, so thanks for the 411 on the 511 ;)

Who in our group is coming in Saturday? Ragdoll, I know you are - you are using DCL transportation? Short & blonde?? well you were close :teeth:

Cali-Mouse, YOU SUCK!! already in Florida working on the tan, can't get a wireless connection by the pool to keep up with the group?? :confused3 :goodvibes How many rounds of golf you have in? *hehe

I see we have 4 boys 6 & under - Brennan, Matt, Casey & Cavin - Did I miss any? The girls definitly have them outnumbered :)

Hanover, we ordered somethings from Shirley last week. She warned us about the roads as well & told us to call her if we needed any directions.. You have to love that Shirley :)

My group which could also be known as the "V-man's neighbors" (turns out we live in the same town) are coming down on Saturday. We're due to arrive around 10:30. Happy Limo is scheduled to pick us up so we're depending on them to know the safest and quickest way. I'm getting nervous though with all this talk on road closures.

Thanks!!! We arrive Thursday evening and will be driving up to my mom's in Lake County Thursday night, then on Friday we will be driving down to the port area and will be staying at the Radisson, don't want to take any chance of missing that ship on Saturday. Luckily, my mom has traveled a lot from Lake County to the port area, she has already been busy checking on the back roads that we can take if needed.

Stay safe everyone, can't wait to meet you all over the next few days!!!

My group which could also be known as the "V-man's neighbors" (turns out we live in the same town)
Howdy neighbor!!! I got to work this morning only to find my township work car with a flat tire. I called over to the township garage (I park my car behind the library) and the mechanic (Marcus) came to my rescue. He came and put air in the tire so I could drive to the garage where he changed the tire, Marcus is my hero for the day!!! What a way to start my last few days at work before vacation. :rotfl:

Well, my morning break is over and I've got meters waiting to be read this morning, talk to y'all later!!! :wave2:

Yes, Dr. Cavin, our flight leaves Cleveland Hopkins at 9:30am. We booked through DCL and are using their transportation. I'm sure they will get us to the ship but hope it is in time for the DIS meet. Might be late depending on road closures.

Cannot believe that I got sick again. Laryngitis and a sinus infection came on with a vengeance yesterday evening. Glad I had a round of antibiotics left so I will have six days in me by the time we fly. Flying almost always does a number on my sinuses. Need to call the doctor when I can talk and try to talk him into prescribing me another round just in case.

With everyone posting pictures it got me to wondering how you all are picturing me. Knowing that I despise shopping, throw things into a suitcase the night berfore we leave and with a screenname of Ragdoll...you all are probably picturing me as Raggety Ann or some kind of slob. :rotfl2: Maybe we should play a guessing game. What does the real Ragdoll look like? Anybody want to venture a guess. I am not easily offended so tell me what you really think! Come on, I dare you all. Here are some ideas... :clown: :hippie: pirate: :wizard: :earsgirl:

Jeez, I am being really :goofy: today. The excitement of this cruise is making me

Donna

I will choose :hippie: BUT I am not any good at this game ;)

Aw, no fair posting a picture Dr. C. You need to describe how you picture me in your mind. Like I pictured you...short and blonde. :rotfl:

V-Man, sorry to hear about the car trouble but let's hope that is the end of your troubles for the next 2 weeks.

Rag Doll - you sound pretty normal to me. I am really getting goofy with excitement as well and we haven't started packing yet either. We've been busy getting the house ready for my son and his family to spend the night on Friday before we leave. Plus, since it was sooo nice in Jersey this weekend we ran to the beach to enjoy the sun. We'll probably be throwing things in our suitcase while we try to visit after they arrive. We're getting up nice and early to make the 8am flight departure from Philly so no time to do it in the morning!

I also have 2 boys Zachary and Christian (they are 4)
here is a picture of all of us from last summer at my nieces sweet 16. Hopefully we will get a new family picture on the cruise
can't wait to meet everyone

I added them to the list Huey... I had you listed with 3 children, but not sure if that was correct... :(

Hanover your boys are so cute! I ordered from Shirley about a month ago, but didn't think of confirming. Guess I didn't need to. I'm glad I'm not the only one bringing 7 bottles of sunscreen. My husband asked "don't you think that's a little much?" But I figure we'll be putting it on every day all day, so NO!

TSirgey your daughters so cute! We'll have to get her together with my girls, I'm sure they'll have a blast together.

Mom x 4 thanks for the heads up. The alternate route thing is just one of the many things I'm worried about.

Huey duey and luey, cute kids! How old is your daughter?

Ragdoll I don't want to get in trouble, so I'll say a tall thin brunette. :rolleyes1

Well I'm pretty much packed except for the last minute stuff. Turns out I needed 4 suitcases, 2 carryons and a backpack. DH is concerned about it all fitting in our minivan rental along with my mom's 1 suitcase and 1 carryon. I'll have to do a test pack in our minivan :rotfl: .

Plan on watching a lot of my shows tonight to make room on our TIVO for all the shows while we're gone. I've been so busy packing and getting ready for the cruise I haven't had time to watch tv!

Still have to take our dog to the groomers, she's staying with my brother while we're gone and his wife hates dogs so I figure if I get our mini schnauzer all pretty and smelling nice she won't complain as much.

Well DD wants to play a game so I'd better go!

The pictures are coming in leaps and bounds. It's so exciting to put a face to a name. When we all see each other this weekend, we'll feel like we've known each other for years. ...LOL.... :rotfl2:

UA,
Can you post the pic I sent you this morning of the girls. It's the most recent of them (taken this past Saturday). Thanks a bunch.

Dr Cavin that is right
I was just answereing the question about boys under six

Lee all three of them are 4 :teeth:
and I know what you mean about the tivo, I can't believe how many season finales are next week. How did I travel before tivo, a six hour vhs tape wouldn't be enough :goodvibes

I almost had a heart-attack, had to go check when 24 would finish up. Think it will finish on 5/22 I will be in Orlando then, at least I have a chance at seeing it.. NOT....
