We're a very excited group!! i think the funniest part about it, is that no matter how many people are on the list, there are really only like 3 or 4 of us making this one page a day! hahah!

Good morning!! Wow, I didn't realize how May was approaching. I better start making all my lists ! Me and my girls will be driving down from NC this time so I will probably bring more than normal. I'm sure I will still hit Wal-mart when we get there , can't live without my Diet Coke!!!! Is everone else driving or flying??? I figured driving would be easier with 2 kids by myself.

Good morning everyone! 66 days to go for me. . . We are Flying - AirTran from Pittsburgh. There's no way we could drive from PA with 2 boys!!

I am so excited, I asked my husband to bring up our suitcases from the basement the other day and he looked at me like I was nuts!! Then he realized I was serious! I have only put a few small items in them so far.

61 days and counting....we are flying Delta...it is costing a little more this year then last...we will land in Florida at around 4:30 pm then off to the AKL...so excited!!!

65 days for us!

We are flying Delta. They have a direct flight which is wonderful. DH hates to drive. Just too time consuming for him. I just wish we could get great rates for our flights, but there is no such thing when flying out of Little Rock, AR.

Good morning Everyone!
Ran out to Walmart and ToysRUs to look for that stroller I need this morning, no luck though. I guess Target will be my next stop. (Good thing DH is in Michigan next week for work, I'll have to get him to look for me.)

We (some of the Canadian's in this bunch) are flying as well, crossing the border from Windsor (where we live) the night before (to park and fly) and flying Northwest Airlines out of Detroit. For us the flight ends up being cheaper than the drive with hotels each way, gas and food. We got a great promo rate the day we booked. Our trip falls between Mother's Day weekend, and the Victoria Day holiday weekend here in Canada, so when we get home on Sunday the 20th, we still have another day off school and work the next day to relax and unwind after the trip.

Like many of you, my suitcase has been in my room for almost a month now, mostly because I just bought it. And yes it has a few things already packed in it.

I wanted a larger suitcase to fit more things into, instead of all four of us needing to each bring one. This way we may only need two, and pack a large empty backpack for any extra space we may need coming home.

So happy to see so many of us on the thread today! Yah!!!!

We did this too!! we're only taking one suitcase for clothes for all 4 of us and a smaller one with shoes and all the baby stuff

Then the one carry on with DVD player and stuff like that!

I haven't started packing yet though! i will probably start beginning of April!

Okay here is my question of the day.

Does Disney have a channel on the tv for those staying at their resorts where the kids can watch Disney Movies through out the day while we are there. My son asked me this question. And I told him I would ask my Disney friends.

There is one thing to remember with the Big Suitcase plan. Most airlines have a weight limit for bags. I think Delta is 50 lbs. I am always weighing our Big Suitcase before our trip. I think most airports have scales in the check-in area. I have repacked our bag before in the middle of the airport to avoid the extra charge.

This weight thing makes no sense to me. Family of four can check 8 bags. We were only checking two. One bag, the Big Suitcase, is over 50 lbs so there would be an extra fee? What? When we could have checked 6 more bags. Go figure.

Well, Hellllooooo!!!

Thanks to all of my May bud's that gave me well wishes last night for my anniversary! We didn't end up going anywhere; Sis-in-law was in town for a few days from SC and so we sat around and talked with her and had fun. I wasn't supposed to get anything and told DH our present was going on the trip. Um, okay.

So Dh comes home and you know how we women are when we say no presents...we kind of have that part of us that truly wants a gift....but he didn't have anything in his hand other than his gym bag, which is normal. So I figured I wasn't getting anything and was a tad depressed, but didn't say anything and went to the kitchen. Dh goes into the bedroom to change and starts yelling "Come here, I need you to look at something".
Sooooooooo, I walk in and there are three gifts on the bed with a card. At this point I realize I am a spoiled rotten brat.

Anyway, he gave me a gift card to Victoria's secret, a bottle of perfume, and the best of all...a big box of Godiva Truffles. YUM!

Anyway, I am awful, because he's getting nothing but a trip that I can participate in outta' me. LOL.

I've been at the dentist this morning, but I sure am glad to see everyone up and at 'em today.

The excitement, it builds!

I think it has something to do with the loading of the plane... and the fact that someone has to toss all the bags in there.... 8 light bags are easier to lay out evenly than one heavy one....

My neighbor use to "through bags" and he let us in on this... use 2 regular size bags instead on one large... the "guys tend to get upset about the heavy bags and aren't always so nice to them" he had other tips as well... but nothing else really stood out to me.
