Morning everyone I'm off to the Dr. this morning and DH is watching the kids, so i'm tempted to go shopping after that and then maybe stop and get something to eat...ahh peace and quiet I've pumped enough to stay out at least until the early afternoon

Girl, you had to ask me that. It's closer to the Macy's side *I think*. If you drive around the perimeter of the mall, you can see it from the outside. Oh! I think it might be near where the new Nordstrom's is going. What time are you going? Plan for a long-ish wait.
I am feeling better this morning, thanks for the words of encouragement. I was just exhausted and needed to rest. DH got mad because I had done so much in the house, but it has to get done.

Sulley~ I am getting so excited for you! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping it is something that is easily treatable. I'm wondering if it isn't something like Fibromyalgia. I guess we'll see.
How long has your Mom been seeing the Dr? I am only 35 and don't want to start taking meds if I don't have to. Right now, I only take an advil when absolutely necessary. Meds affect me so weird. Everything puts me to sleep, including advil!

My mom's been seeing the doctor for about two years, since she was 44. She started out taking pills, those took about six months to actually work all the way where she was comfortable. She's decided to switch to an injectable medication that's once a week about 3 months ago....She hasn't been officially diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis because the rheumatoid factor varies each time its tested....

Something you may want to be aware of, if you do go back to the workforce and are taking arthritis medications, a lot of times you will not be able to qualify for short-term disability insurance to help if you get injured....I found that out when she broke her wrist over the summer.

If you have any other questions, I'll be glad to ask her....She is very well-informed about the conditions the rheumatologist treated and tends to stay up on the information regarding them

I've been meaning to ask you. Do you own DVC...at SSR? Just wondering. I've been reading about people renting a week instead of booking at a resort. Just wondering if you owned or if you rented.

We do own at DVC at SSR, bought it last March when we were down there on rented points from another DISer....it's probably been one of the best decisions, and it definitely gets used ....

As far as SSR- when you rented, did you know the Dis'er you rented from? Just wondering if I should look deeper into going that route. It's hard when you have 5 people in a family.

We are all used to having so much space. We always get the kids their own room, even when we aren't in Disney. It is just better that way. And we all get our own bed. I can't stand touching another person when I sleep, so that puts any queen sixed bed out of the question. And you can forget about the double beds. Not gonna happen. Dh is the same way. We have a huge King size bed and we are both on our sides, about to fall off.

Okay, thanks for the info! That will help, especially considering that I have not been there since last April!

If DH can sneak out of work early we should be able to get there around 5:30. Hopefully that will beat the dinner rush!

You are so funny!! I told DS8 that you said we have to ride TOT next time and he said he'd think about it! He loves the thrill rides, but he's not much for the dark and scary things. He won't go near the HM.

Okay ladies, I am off to DS8's Halloween party at the school. Oh, sorry I mean the Literary Day party! I must be politically correct like the school. The kids have to dress up like a character from a book. Why can't they just let the kids have fun anymore??? And now we must take in healthy snacks instead of candy. Oh My!!

Anyway, then after school I will be taking the kids to my dad's. Then heading off on my big date night later!! You can't tell I don't get out much, can you?!?!?

The only ride I did not do was Dinosaur at AK because I did not want to throw my back out on my vacation. I will have to do it some time though!

I didn't know the DISer I rented from, before renting from her, but she did offer up some references if I wanted them. It went really smooth, but you have to plan kind of far out (at least 6+ months) because DVC properties book up quick especially at peak times (which don't really coincide w/ park peak times), my personal rule when searching was to not contact anyone who didn't have at least 75 posts who was offering points for rent.

The 1-bedrooms at the new Animal Kingdom Villas will sleep 5 officially (none of the others do officially), they have a king-sized bed in the master bedroom, the foldout sofa (which is the most comfortable foldout I've ever slept on), and a "foldout" chair....plus w/ the 1 & 2-bedrooms, it's nice having a full kitchen, whirlpool tub, and washer/dryer IN the room.

One week ago today DH gave me the to the vacation next year. I'm celebrating my one week anniversary! That deserves one dancing banana dude.

Dh made the coffee this morning, and although I've only had one cup, it was equivalent to 6, due to the caffiene content.

Shelly, how was the CCF?????? Details, please. What about TDS? Buy anything good???

Sulley, the AKV's sound intriguing... I would be so scared to book and then give my money to the person and it fall through, on either of our ends. I am such a scaredy cat.
I know we probably should be buying DVC. We go every year. Sometimes twice a year. Heck. In what I have spent in the past 5 years there, we could've proabably almost paid it off. Maybe one day... I do still have three kids to put through college and two daughters to (hopefully) pay for a wedding for.

Just out of curiosity, I decided to keep a note of the views/posts. Hey, I'm a counter, what can I say?

Anyway, starting Thursday when I got up:
there were 11,109 posts and 86,892 views.

On Friday, that number had jumped to 11,152 posts and 87,385 views.

This morning, it was at 11,175 posts and 87,660 views. After my first post this morning, the views jumped to 87,673!!

So in 3 days we were viewed 781 times. I know that isn't just from us...

We're popular, ya'll!

Gutentag!

Going down to DL today for a little while. Some friends of our online friends want the Mickey ears "bat hats", so we are going to pick up a few of them. My son wants to do some pin trading at DL because he my wife picked up a few of them at the Studio Store in Burbank that are Walt Disney Studios limited editions for castmembers only. We found out that some of them Disney only made 350 of them. He can trade these for really good ones he wants.

My wife is enjoying her job at Disney. She has another castmember meeting on Monday for new hires. They spend quite a bit of time going over their philosophy and expectations of their people.

Bringing my video camera today. Hopefully I can get a good video of Haunted Mansion Holiday to share with you.
