Shelly! what gorgeous pictures! It's been awhile since i've been out there :) I went for work back in the day when I actually had a job ;) :)

okay i'm soo jealous at how close Seacrest is to at least one mouse house!!!!!!

HI DMM! Glad to "see" :cool2: you! It's great to read about the good things going on in your life.

I will try not to brag too much about our trips down to DL. Let me know if I am going overboard - don't want to offend my fellow Mayers. :snooty:

Seacrest "who needs some that rest"

Howdy Mayers!

Hope all is well with you guys!

Shelley those photos were beautiful!!! I had no idea Pittsburgh was so nice.

Jo - Is moving day this week?

Seacrest - Has your wife found a job?

Last week our temps were over 100 everyday. It was terrible. The kids started school on Wednesday. The elementary children were not able to play outside. It was too darn hot.

My nephew got married on Saturday. I took off Thursday and Friday to help my sister-in-law with all the preparations. It was really fun.

Tonight is back to school meetings for the elementary. Thursday night - middle school.

Have a great week everyone!

Hi NewCrew!

My wife hasn't found a new teaching position yet - she has put out over 30 resumes and had 3 or 4 interviews. Maybe something will come together soon.. Thanks for asking!

Bummer about the heat - I hope cools down for you guys soon. Glad you had fun at the wedding - those are always a blast.

Back to school night...ohhh the memories!

Thanks Michelle! :goodvibes Good to hear from you.

That's funny - "back in the day when I actually had a job"!! :lmao: I know the feeling!!! My baby is going to kindergarten in 2 weeks but we are still half day kindergarten so he will be home at about 11:10, so much for getting back to work at least for another year. :upsidedow

Hi NewCrew! Good to hear from you!

Yes, Pittsburgh is very beautiful! It's different from other cities because it is built around 3 rivers. Which makes it very nice at night when it's all lit up and the reflection is on the rivers. Very pretty. But it makes it bad for getting around downtown! Roads going every which way and bridges and tunnels everywhere and one way streets. I think we have finally figured it out though!

I think JO is moving Thursday.

We had that real bad heat a few weeks ago and now it's actually a little chilly. But supposed to get warmer at the end of the week again. Has it cooled down any for you?

Next week is our schools Open Houses and Orientations and all that fun stuff. They do it the week before school starts here. I'm not really ready for my "baby" to be going to school. :sad2: He's ready, but I'm not.

Hey!
Okay, I'm in panic mode...

The painter met us last night at the new house and said he might not be able to get to us on Thursday! :scared1: Oh well, at least I have the paint picked out.

Shelly, beautiful pics of my "new hometown.":) It really is breathtaking at night when you come through the tunnels to the city all lit up. That was the kids first look at PGH, we rolled into town at 11pm when we moved here and they were amazed. Belle kept saying, "Do we live in the city?"

Lake, if you come here, me and Shelly can show you around...if we can ever meet, that is! ;)

Okay, last minute stuff, guys. Say a prayer for me.

JO

ooo lucky you!!! you will have a blast!!!!!! I miss it so much already!!! I cannot wait to get over there again!!!!

Very true!! :lmao:

Oh, and I don't think you are bragging about the DL trips!! I enjoy hearing about them and I think the rest of the MAYers do too!

I'm not saying we aren't jealouos!! :snooty: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Ok...glad you like info, videos and pics.

Here is our "dream prize" video. It is a big file, so you might want to wait for it to completely load up and then play it.

I have a BTMR video and a Fantasmic highlights video I will work on tonight.

By the way, check out the "Bats Day" at DL pics over here:

Jo, good luck with the painters!!

Thanks Michelle! Good to hear from you.

haah it's sooo true and then we were a bit closer with Gabriel turning 2 this year adn lo and behold another baby on the way :) Not to mention I quit my job about 1yr before our wedding, so that I could plan the wedding and also travel to and from WDW as much as needed ;) So it's been even longer than the kids that I have been out of work! :lmao: It feels soo strange, but I wouldn't mind picking up a part time job!! Then again, i would probably miss the kids! :)

Good Moring everybody....

Jobird: Good Luck with the Move.....

Seacrest: I love to see your dis movies and read about your days at DL. like stated before at least one of us is close to Mickey.... You're wife will find something soon.....

Newcrew: whatever happened with the rest of the TR????? i've been anxiously waiting.....:surfweb:

Shelly: Loved the pics of Hershey.... i have not been there in over 3 years.... but i still remember the chocolate smell...

I will FINALLY be going down to sesame place this saturday... My DH kept putting it off so i finally logged into the comp and purchased the tickets so there is no excuse.:cheer2:

We'll it's off to work now..... i'll check in later......

Mornin' Mayers!:snooty:

It's good to see some activity happening on this thread. Amazing that it's only been three months or so since we had our vacations with the Mouse.

Well, the Mayer power must still be in operation! The painter called yesterday afternoon and said he will meet us at the house tomorrow after closing. Whew!:cheer2:

DH and I went to Belle's Kindergarten orientation last night. She got a first year teacher but the teacher used to be a therapist that worked with Autisic kids. I'm sure it will be good. I felt bad for her last night, she was soooo nervous with all of those parents staring at her.:guilty:

Michelle, How are you feeling?

NewCrew, How's AR??? I miss it.:sad2:

Seacrest, I love to hear about your trips to DL!!!!!! It puts a smile on my face when I'm stressed out (which happens to be quite often...).
Hope your wife hears something soon.:grouphug:

Mari- Thanks!!! How's the planning coming for your WDW trip? I'm gonna' live vicariously through everyone who's planning one.

Shelly- How you doin' girlie? We'll be close soon!:rotfl:

Where is JC???? I hope she is well.:confused3

Have a great day, everyone! For tomorrow, I will be a proud Homeowner, once again! YAY!!!!!:cheer2: :dance3:

Oh what the heck. He hasn't seen any fresh air for awhile, might as well let the banana do his 'thang'.

JO

Your On Ladies!

Jodi- thanks for plantation recommendations.
I will look into the others you mentioned.

We have booked our hotels, and now I'm looking into what tours to book and planning our days a bit. So much to do.
DH just wants me to make sure I leave room for some golf of course.

New Crew- can't believe your kids are already back to school. I have so many things I still want to do this summer for my children...is time really running out???
Well, I wish a happy and successful year for your wonderful DS and DD. We have another two and a half weeks here.

Shelly- DS is in senior kindergarten this year, so another year of half days here as well. (I know the feeling)
Although my DD doesn't start school until next year- that's when my baby will go... not sure what I will do with myself once the kids are not here with me.

I'm not sure what age your kids all started school, but here in Ontario, the start the year they turn 4 attending junior kindergarten. School starts after the September Labour Day holiday weekend, and doesn't let out till the last week of June.

Glad to see so many of us back here together.
Puts a smile on my face.:)
