Good morning Mayers!! Today's going to be my slow day.....Pool, pedi appt, dinner, and Wishes (maybe I'll finally watch it from inside the MK) :)

::cool1: Thanks so much, sulleyfan! I'm so so glad to hear that. I can pop a claritin-d anytime, but smoke we just do not enjoy. :yay: Have a wonderful time!

Just wanted to update, the smoke has arrived.....It's pretty thick and definitely not so magical....It came up very suddenly....It was clear when I went in for breakfast at Ohana and very hazy when I came out.....Hopefully the forecast is correct and it rains, if it does, it should take care of most of the smoke, but it's pretty much all over Disney :sad1:

It's safe to say that no one at work would dare call me on this trip. They all know how I have been looking forward to this trip. Some co-workers even come by daily to see how many days are left on my white board countdown.

Hi Sulley! I'm Julie and I also have a problem (and no, we aren't talking about my shoe addiction. That's another meeting all together) with the internet. Always good to see another sister in addiction that likes to toke some bandwidth.

Reading of this banana caramel creme brulee, I started to go make 'ooooo and ahhhh angels from above' type of sound. The DH turned around and asked me what. I proclaimed to him, I just read about what sounds to be the most perfect dessert in the world next to my beloved bananas foster. My elation, however, was somewhat short lived as I continued to read and see you say it was ucky. I'll probably still order it though since I do like me some ! :rolleyes1

LOL.....Work wouldn't get me to come in for overtime even if I was home at this point....We worked 8 hours of mandatory overtime a week for 11 months, from last April til middle of this March....You couldn't make me come in for voluntary at this point.

:yay: another bandwidth buddy :)....I keep waiting for them to get 6Mb DSL to my home....but it probably won't happen anytime soon, there's not enough want for them to justify adding a DS3 to our DSLAM :(

3rdly....I think the main problem with the banana caramel creme brulee was the 45 minute transport back to my room and then 1/2 hr wait before I ate it....If I would have eaten it when it was prepared at the restaurant it would have been fine, but I wasn't hungry at that point....

Crap we are leaving in two days from Northeastern Florida. The smoke up here is horriable. I was hoping it wouldn't be bad down there. The smoke from the fire in Starke must be headed your way. All I am doing is sneezing. We may just enjoy the resort and do alot of eating in Epcot!

The resort is my friend today....I really really hope it rains....

Slightly OT.....Are you from Starke?

Good morning everyone!

Great pictures Huggie! And to answer your question, YES I am very nervous about the trip too!! I just don't feel like it's really going to happen or something! And I'm nervous about the flight. And now I'm freaking out a bit about the bedbugs and snakes! :scared1:

I'm still VERY EXCITED of course!! 4 Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are other fires around the state as well...:sad1:

No we are about 15-20 minutes west of there.

Do you have internet access in the room by the way?

I was just wondering because I used to live there in the mid-90s and I've still got a step-grandma who lives there.....

I do....It's 9.95 a day billed to your room....and I'm the dork that has a wireless travel router, so I can actually use the internet anywhere in my room.

I am taking my laptop!! I have to work while I am on vaca, but I use it especially to download all my pics.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new pic of the kitty cat. My daughter Meghan saw it and she keeps going around the house purring. LOL:lmao: :lmao:

I also am bringing my laptop. I can't stand to be away from email for that long :) And thanks about the kitty avatar. I love that picture. It makes me giggle a little every time I see it.

Well I'm hoping transport was the issue. Creme brulee usually isn't all that good if it's cold.

What area is she in it is more towards the Keystone area that has been evacuated. But almost 1000 people have been told to get out already. My best friend is in Starke but she is the distance we are away from it on the other side of Starke. We had one 1/2 a mile from us two weeks ago that was freaky but they got it under control very quickly. No winds to deal with those couple of days luckily.

So even with a wireless router they charge you $9.95 a day? Sorry that sounds steep! I am cheep though.

Thanks for the pics and updates!

Sulley- You should invest in a wireless internet access card. I have access wherever I go. I just insert the card and I am surfing anywhere. My carrier is Verizon. It might be cheaper for you. :surfweb: :surfweb:

That is what I was wondering. If I have a wireless card I shouldn't have to pay anything per day right? I am borrowing inlaws laptop and they have a card thru Verizon.

She's less than a block away from Starke Elem.....I read in an article that they were using Madison Street Baptist Church as a shelter, I know she's only a few blocks from there too...so I think she's pretty safe for the time being....

Huggie.....my only issue with that is I have a Mac laptop and I really haven't found anything with it that works well....The only time I would use it anyway would be traveling, I get free wifi at work and school, so the $40 or so that I'll pay for internet access while here is fine for me, I just build it into my trip budget.

I've thought about doing that too but I just don't seem to travel enough with my laptop in tow to justify the expense. And when I do use the laptop at home, I have my own wireless network set up. My laptop isn't my main puter.
