What fun to go to Disneyland so often!

We went out for lunch and then to Lewis & Clark (an outdoor adventure store.) They have a 30 foot rock wall you can climb. Chloe scampered up it like a squirrel. That girl can do anything. She is a little dare devil. Chris went about half way. He is afraid of heights and made the mistake of looking down. I went up next and was two moves away when my legs gave out and told them I would have to come down. After I came down and saw how close I was to the top, I kicked myself for not going all the way. It just looks different when you are up there then it does from the ground. Oh well, there is always next weekend!

Lake - Sorry the party fell through. Excellent idea to do it next week. You guys will all enjoy it more when you are felling better. We once attended a party at a gymnastics place where the birthday girl was sick. The parents had already paid and the party could not be rescheduled. I felt so bad for the little girl.

Just checking in.... I still haven't found any other airfare... i'm crossing my fingers, toes everything i can to get decent airfare.

Ok my fellow mayers i'm off to get ready to go to the big toys r us in NY. During breakfast my DD2 asked my DH to take her to "Toes r us pweese" how can you say no to that..... so were off......

Well, I think we are going hiking this afternoon. It is 70 degrees outside which is unseasonably warm. DH is not very excited about hiking. It is not his idea of a relaxing afternoon. We will see what happens.

Our son wants to hike up the hill in this photo. The view from up there is beautiful!

NewCrew ~ How did the hike go? You are lucky to have such great weather in January! It is warming up here, it's around 40 and all the snow is melting and it is a big slushy mess out there!

The Alice in Wonderland ride is the longest ride in Fantasyland. Only DL has this ride and it is very popular. Fortunately, because of the storms, DL wasn't very busy at all yesterday and we were able to get on most rides within 5-10 minutes each.

Shelly- glad you are feeling a bit better. Hope it goes on away. how was the weekend. sad about the Steeler's game, I slept through it all, LOL.

Lake_ sorry you had to postpone the party. Take it from a January baby... birthday parties are soooo hard when you celebrate it right after Christmas.
My Mom used to always give me presents at Christmas and say "That's for your Christmas AND your Birthday." and I was always WTH???? For my 16th birthday, (the summer before) I went on a tour of Germany, Switzerland, France, and Italy. I know, wonderful, right? and truly it was. But...
She figured I DIDN'T NEED A CAKE ON MY DAY. It was my Sweet Sixteen and I didn't get a cake. Remember the movie Sixteen Candles? That was me!!! as you can see, i'm still scarred from it. HAHA. Growing up, I always felt like my Birthday was just beginning when everyone was leaving a party.
Cheated, yes. That's how I felt. So anyway, DH always tries to do special things for me on my day, because he knows I have been wronged in the past.
Okay, you all know me well enough to know that I am a spoiled rotten brat, but DH has helped it along a bit by spoiling me much more than my parents ever could.. But really, it's hard having a birthday after the Holidays.
Lake, I commend you for doing everything you can for your little one to make them feel extra special.

As you can see, I am in rare form today.

I have decided to quit my anti-inflammatory meds. They knock me completely out and I don't like it too much. I see the Ortho on Wednesday to see what he says about my knee.

It's 60 degrees out today! I am loving the weather.

Seacrest_ I loved the Alice video!!! Sooo cute. Had no idea that ride was like that. I thought it was the same as the one at WDW, which, BTW I don't ride. Had a bad experience when i was 2 and have nightmares of it.


Okay, this is looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggg. I'm off to watch some soap operas. Heh-heh.

JoBird... you my dear are not a spoiled rotten brat... you are a dear sweet helpful friend, who just happens to be a woman who also knows what she wants, and deserves the best life has to offer.


So my son was such a trooper in regards to the rescheduling of his party. To day is his 6th birthday, so tonight we will have a nice quiet family dinner and he will open presents from us and members of my family (who all live out of town, and were sneaky about giving them to me to bring home at christmas.)
We are making special birthday cake as we speak.

This morning on the way to school we stopped and picked up cupcakes at the bakery for his class for a treat.

On friday we have invited his best buddy from school to come out with his daddy and I for dinner and to see the movie, the Water Horse (his choice). Just a boys night, our daughter will spend the evening with grandma. And then on Saturday, we have the rescheduled party with the members of my husbands family.

So we are trying to make it all special for him, and make it about a birthday not an extended christmas like Jodi said.

By the way has anyone seen the Water Horse...any reviews????
