I'm having a hard time thinking of gifts for my mom and MIL.

Is there anything that they're into collecting or anything like that? If either like cooking/baking, there's an awesome kitchen store in DTD, I like going in there and I HATE cooking/baking

My godson who is Downs and is 9 years does not talk, but he uses sign language to communicate his needs. He is quite severe in many ways, but this ability really makes life a bit easier for his parents.

it is so universal...glad the he can communicate his needs...

OT - I have been looking for a wooden playhouse for dd for awhile and I finally found one tonight that was EXACTLY what I have been looking for! It has a porch with benches and a kitchen and wooden shutters abd a window box and is just all around darling We just ran into it in Cosco and we nabbed the last one yay! I cant wait to get it put together for her - she's gonna flip!

Yay! Sounds great. And as icing on the cake, you got the last one! That makes it even better imho.

That is a GREAT question! My mom buys whatever she wants/needs....My MIL is the queen of QVC/HSN!

My mom is hard to buy for b/c she says she doesn't want anything to sit around the house...I'm thinking maybe a gift certificate to a local place that would make her a flower arrangement....but not sure about this...

Last year when we went I got my MIL something from that store.....And she doesn't even have it in her kitchen!!
She loves to cook/bake...she is a retired home Ec. teacher.

Well if your mom likes anything spa like, you could get her a certificate for a trip to the spa and maybe go with her. Make a mother & daughter day out of it. I know my mom would love it if we could do something like that (not really possible this mother's day due to her being in Texas and me in Washington state).

I know it seems generic, but bath stuff is usually something nice too. Or you can do a Pajama gram.

I may go with bath stuff for my mom and QVC gift card for the MIL.

QVC gift card sounds bad..but you wouldn't believe how much stuff she orders from that place!!

Last year when we went I got my MIL something from that store.....And she doesn't even have it in her kitchen!!

Its true. Sad. But true. There were a bunch of people there looking for them and we were told that they were selling out within an hour of each shipment. Well, as we were getting in line to pay I saw ONE that was being brought out. I am a little ashamed at how gleefull that made me
