We bought a double dvd player for the car about 3 years ago. :goodvibes Best investment ever made!!! I think we paid like $200 for it back then. It is one of the systems with wires and plugs. It is powered from the cigarette lighter thingy in the car. So the wires and things are a pain, but it still works today! Right after we got it the prices started coming down on the portable ones. But this one works good and it came with 2 screens that attach to the back of the front seat headrests. I think it's Durabrand from WalMart.

We are scheduled to get our stimulus check deposited May 9!! :cool1:

FM - i wonder the same thing too..... i've seen kids with all different kinds and i don't know... i'm thinking i will get my dd the leapster.... that is what i see more often... plus there are more games that appeal to my dd on leapster... check to see which one has better games for them...

i am sooooo bummed about the carousel.... my DD loves that...and the toontown playground.... darn it......

well the JC is one of my favorites too... everytime i have gone to WDW i have riden on that... it's without a fail a must do with us... i guess cause my Dad liked it so much... the 3 times since we have riden it now i can't.... that really gets me sad cause it's sort of like a tribute to my dad... :(

OMG JO and all the other Pittsburghers - I just read this - this guy is from Seven Fields (very close to us Pittsburghers!) How exciting!! -
Congratulations to Justin Muchoney, of Seven Fields, Pennsylvania, who was named Disney's first Chief Magic Official at a ceremony last Tuesday morning. Justin, a 28-year-old music director, took the top honor by amassing 200,000 online votes, after competing against 1,300 candidates nationwide. After completing Disney Traditions cast member training, Justin will begin his official duties with the grand opening of Toy Story Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios in a few weeks.

Aw sorry Mari. That is sad.

Congats to Justin..... i really liked him too....

i know but my Dad will be happy that we went either way.... he loved going there.....

It's great that you have such nice memories of your dad and the time you spent together at WDW. :goodvibes

We never went to WDW as children. And now I still can't even get my dad to go with us. He just doesn't get it. :sad2:

some people get it some people don't... what can you do... at least your boys will have fond memories of your family vacations to WDW.....

Yes, I hope they continue to love it as they get older and then we can keep going together when they have their own families!

hey-

I'm back.

worked with Belle on two of her autograph book pages. i need to take some pics of it. It's coming out cute.

Mari-   i'm sorry you can't do the JC. I know it is special to you. Hopefully it will be open in December when you go back. That stinks.
as you walk past it-- say something to your dad-- he'll be there with you in spirit- then blow him a kiss. He's always with you.

Shelly-- I didn't know about the pool until I read it this morning on Allears. It doesn't matter though. There's no way in heck I'm putting myself into a bathing suit at all this year. I already told Mark that he'll be going into his parents pool without me this summer. I feel gross.

I had read about that Justin guy. How neat. That's just near me- down the road where he lives.

Jo

Oh my these next 10 days are going to ddddrrrrraaaaaagggggg oooonnnnn fffffooooorrrrrreeeeeevvvvvveeeeerrrrrrrrr.........................................................................................................................................................

I want to go NOW!! :teleport:

:lmao: You are too funny! Heck I feel gross too, have ever since hitting 30!! :rotfl: But that's not going to stop me from swimming on vacation!! Especially when it's already hitting 90 degrees down there! If people don't like what they see  they can look they other way!!

That is so cool about that guy Justin from Seven Fields. He's practically your neighbor! Maybe we will run into him at DHS! :wizard:

My neighbors just drove out of the development and beeped at us ON THEIR WAY TO THE AIRPORT!!!!!! They will be in Florida by this evening! They aren't going to Disney this year, I think they are going to the beach somewhere. I'm still jealous!

Why didn't I plan my vacation for this week. . . :confused3 The kids don't have school this Friday (because of prom) and then next Wed, Thur, and Fri are early dismissal because of end of the year parent-teacher conferences. They would have missed minimal school. I guess I just had my anniversary week in my head so that was all I could think of! :rotfl: Oh well there's always next year. . .

Speaking of next year. . . What do you think??? WDW in January, April, May, or November. . . Or DL in January (maybe). . . . :yay:

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL:laughing:

I told my mom that I was so depressed after trying on bathing suits and she gave me the whole "there comes a time in every woman's life that you have to give up the bikini" speech.:lmao: I told her I wasn't ready yet.:rotfl: So I'll just abstain for a year.:)

And Mark is so sweet.
He's been talking for months about our possible trip to Jackson Hole in august (it's looking like it's a 95% sure thing we're going) and how all he wants to do is lie around the pool and do nothing at all. So I was telling him I am not going to the pool this summer, and he'll have to swim without me in J.Hole, and he said "Eh, who needs a pool anyway. Swimming's no fun." This, coming from a former swim instructor/lifeguard for many many years.

Anyway, sweet. I guess I'll have to force myself to go to the spa or soemthing. Oh, they have horseback rididng there. I'll do that.
I just won't be doing it naked, ala Lady Godiva.

:scared1:

J
