Well, not really. Disneyland and California Adventure are connected together along with Downtown Disney. The Grand Californian Hotel, Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier hotels are right there too. If you don't want to drive and you are only going to DL, you can take the DL shuttle direct from the airport. If you want to go and visit other places in LA, then by all means rent a car.

I recommend if you are just doing a Disney trip, three days is plenty of time to see it all.

Ok, I am almost all set with the things I need to buy for the trip.I bought snacks for the kids. Goldfish lollipops and M&M's. ( My girls need pick me ups during the day).

I bought towels to bring so I dont have to rent towels at the water parks.

I also got some glow sticks for the parades and some ponchos. I just need some new sippy cups.

So Dh is working late again!!

I also packed a powerstrip. I noticed that at Pop I have way to many things to charge at the end of the day. I bring 2 cameras, a camcorder and my laptop along with Dh and my cellphones. Oh the coffeepot that I bring too.

And that powerstrip has a surge protector on it? Don't want a FL electrical storm mess up your electronics. Take no chances...

BTW - Did you guys hear about the brush fires in MIami... don't know how serious they are since i was half asleep when the news had that segment on.... all i know is i started thinking oh not again.... remember last year in WDW it we were met with smoke....

Three days is enough time, but it's a lot more fun to have 5 days if you can manage it -- gives you some time to relax and play at the pool, etc. The thing about DL is you don't have to factor in the transportation -- bus to here, boat to there, monorail there, you can't get from here to there unless you stop at a resort or DTD... That was the hardest thing for me to figure out at WDW. Even for this trip, I'm trying to figure out if we leave Epcot and go hang out at Boardwalk for the evening, how in the heck will we get back to POFQ??? But, at DL, except for taking the monorail from DTD to MK...you pretty much walk everywhere. And you walk a lot. One trip, I wore a pedometer just for fun and one day we walked 17 miles!!! Now, granted, we really pushed it that day, and we go commando, open to close, and park hop back and forth...but still!
