Okay, in one month from today I will be getting up at 6:00AM  to catch the 7:00 bus to be at Ohana at 7:30 for breakfast! Then off to MK for opening and staying there most of the day! And probably having lunch at Casey's Corner.

:cool1: Not long now!!

Okay, so I thought we were going to dinner last night at a restaurant that is about 30 minutes south of here. . . But as we start to leave DH heads north. I'm like - what are you doing??? He says he wants to swing by this car lot to look at a blazer before we head to dinner. So I proceed to chew him out that we don't have money for a new blazer, that I spent any new blazer money on a WDW trip, and that my old blazer was just fine!! Pretty soon he turns into a different restaurant not far from our house and says he decided to just eat there. . . ? ? ? I'm thinking, it's my birthday why does he think he's picking ??? Just then I notice my neighbor's van (only because she has a Mickey head antenna topper!) and I put it all together - He planned a surprise party!!!! We go in and there are about 25-30 people there!! party:

WOW what a great DH..... I hope you had fun.... please tell me you didn't cry.....

Hey Mari! Nope, I didn't cry, but DS6 did!! He really really wanted to go to the original restaurant we were planning on going to because they have a make-your-own sundae bar!! :lmao: But he quickly got over it when he realized that several of his friends were there, and we promised to go to the other restaurant next weekend!

It was a really nice time! What a surprise!! I can't believe he pulled it off!!

Hi Mayers!

RF, hope your ankle is feeling better. Another good icepack (I have had lots of problems and surgery on a nerve in my arm, so I unfortunately have lots of icepack experience ) is a mix of 1/2 rubbing alcohol and 1/2 water in a heavy duty Ziploc freezer bag -- and I usually put it in another freezer bag, just to be safe. When you freeze it, the alcohol keeps the mix slushy instead of solid, and it molds nicely around the part that hurts. And of course it can be used over and over.

Shelly, what a cool b-day surprise! and :cake: :bday: to you!

Sulley, I only rode green MS because I heard that orange was not good for anyone who has had high BP. Mine is under control now, but I wouldn't want to get sick from a ride! And the green side was lots of fun -- DH liked the orange side best, so we just split up and met at the exit :thumbsup2

Mari, I must have missed something -- they are removing Mickey's hand from the Epcot ball? Why?

Whhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy? :sad1: (I hope I was able to convey the whine in my voice in print...)

OK, folks, I have a practical transportation logistics question for y'all -- I tried posting it on the transportation board, but no help last time I checked...

We get hopper passes, but I try to plan our days mostly around one park, or at least one area, to avoid wasting a lot of time on buses. So...one day of our trip we have breakfast at Boma at 8 am, we want to go to Blizzard Beach when they open at 10 am, stay until maybe 1 pm (I am very fair skinned with freckles, so I have to be very careful with too much sun/water, especially midday), then go to HS for the rest of the day. It's EMH for HS that night until midnight, and we have a dinner ADR for PT 50's at 6:35.

(OK, just an aside, but do you realize how many acronyms we Disney fanatics use? My DH was trying to read something I posted and he could not decipher it! Anyway, I know that all of you here completely understand)

We are staying at POFQ. It has been suggested to me that the best way to get to Boma by 8 am will be by taxi. Not free like the bus, but a lot less stress and a lot quicker. Do you guys agree? So I thought we'd just bring our bathing suits, change from our park clothes to our suits at BB, then back to park clothes when we are done at BB. It seems like such a waste of time to go all the way back to POFQ to drop off wet bathing suits -- think I could just roll up our damp suits in big Ziploc bags and stuff them in my mini backpack for the day? Or try to get a locker once we get to HS? Doesn't seem like they'd take up too much space, and we won't have towels -- we'll just rent them at BB. But is there even a bus that goes from BB to HS? There used to be a great transportation wizard on OLP that would tell you the best way to get from place to place and how long it will be, but they evidently removed it because it was outdated :sad2: Too bad because it was a lifesaver last year.

Anyway...Mayers...help!

Good morning MAYers! :goodvibes

How was the weekend everyone?

How is your ankle feeling RF?

KB - I am having the same issue with transportation one morning. We have a 7:30am ADR at Ohana. I know the MK buses always start at 7:00am, because we have always caught the 7:00 bus for CP ADR's. But some CM on the phone told me that there is no bus until 8:00. . . So now I'm confused!! :confused3 I don't want to take a cab if I don't have to. You know, why pay for something that is free!! :rotfl: So anyway, I'd say for you to take the 7:00 MK bus (if there is one  ) and then transfer to the AKL bus and you'll have plenty of time!

WOW what a great DH..... I hope you had fun.... please tell me you didn't cry.....

Shelly, what a cool b-day surprise! and :cake: :bday: to you!

Happy Birthday!

What a cool surprise!

What a nice surprise Shelly. Happy Birthday!

Thanks everyone!! :goodvibes :grouphug:

Nope, no pictures though. :sad2: I didn't know about it and DH forgot the camera!

26 DAYS!!!!!

In one month from today I will be. . . . . Sleeping in from a long day at MK the day before. . . I think we will take some time this day to go explore some other resorts. . . maybe have a CS lunch at one of them. . . Then head back to MK around 2:00ish and stay for the evening and watch Wishes. Also dinner at Chef Mickeys!! :yay:

I dont think the busses from parks take you to another park. You might want to take it to akl and then take the bus from there to dhs.

Morning All.... my weekend was great.... we had a blast at the circus yesterday....it was great once we left my DD2 told my DH i want to go again... poor thing that was the last showing in our area.....

How was everyone else's weekend???

In 1 month today i will be either in AK or TL.... then a adr at chef mickeys at 6:20pm...possibly run into Shelly while there....

Morning Huggie & Mari!

Sounds like your DD had a great time at the circus Mari! I went year when DS's class took a field trip to it in Pittsburgh. I think they are going to the Pittsburgh Zoo this year.

Soccer ended up being cancelled yesterday. They always say we will play in the rain. And we will play in the cold. But we won't play if it is raining and cold! Well, it was 40 and raining. That is cold to me!! They waited right up until the last minute to cancel.

So we ended up going to the Disney warehouse at the outlets again. They boys got 2 more pins each. Then we went to dinner at the restaurant I thought we were going to Saturday night!

Great weekend here, except for the weather. Supposed to start warming back up this week though!! :goodvibes

Did anyone do anything to get ready for your trip this weekend??? :yay:

I have the kids all packed and DH mostly packed! I got all my shorts washed and now I just need to narrow it down to which ones to pack and then start on the shirts!
