Well, Michelle is opening her eyes this morning to the magic- we are opening our eyes to gross white stuff all over the ground.

I have a story- wanna hear it??????:rolleyes1 I always have a story, you know...
Mark says I'm the only person on the face of this earth that can go into a public restroom and come out every blessed time with a story. But I digress, this story isn't about a bathroom, or even me, for that matter. :goodvibes It's a story about Marky.:)

At 7 PM last night, the phone rings and it's Mark saying he just got into the car, had to work late, walk across the parking lot in slush for a quarter mile, his shoes are ruined, blah, blah, blah. So he said the roads are awful, that he's creeping home at a snail's pace, it will take hime an hour, blah, blah blah.

So I said "well, be careful" and hung up.

At 7:45 he calls and says the interstate is all backed up he's got to go a different way to get home, blah, blah blah, he'll see me soon.

At 8:00 the phone rings again and as soon as I said Hey to him, I could tell the news wasn't great.

He says "I am almost home, I'm on the road leading up to our subdivision, and there is a 18 wheeler jack-knifed all the way across the road, so we can't go anywhere."

Poor guy!!!!!!! He's been gone from home for more than 12 hours, is a quarter mile from home and can't get there! So I told him to turn around, park his truck at the YMCA and walk home. In the blizzard!!! I said I'd meet him at the jack-knifed truck to pick him up.

He said okay.

In about ten minutes, he calls and says come for me, so I grabbed the keys and out the door I go.

When I got to the stop sign at the end of my road, a car pulls up and lets me know about the truck being jack knifed, we can't get out, blah blah blah. So I finally get away from them, and slide down the hill only to see an abominable snowman, er, I mean a VERY handsome man walking up the hill towards me. He gets in the car and said "If I wasn't having a bad enough night, as I was walking, a car came flying by and a Tsunami of snowy, icy slush came over me and now I am soaked." I tried desperately not to laugh.

Poor dude.

And how was YOUR Friday night????

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday.

That is funny story Jo. I would have turned into a popsicle in minute if that had happen to me.

Going out shopping today again, clearing out some junk from my garage and just general decluttering the house. I have already done a load of laundry and washed the dishes.

14 days from now I will be on this ship!!!

Yep, probably just staying in tonight. It's nasty out there! A truck wiped out right in front of the house just before the school bus came. Then the idiot kept trying to get himself out rather than wait on a tow-truck. He was going back and forth and his truck was smoking and he wouldn't stop and the bus was coming down the road. :scared1: I'm standing there watching it all and can't do anything about it. Luckily the bus driver could see what was going on. I was worried that she wouldn't realize that he was still in the truck trying to get it out of the huge rut he had made. So she stopped and honked the horn! After about 5-10 minutes and a huge line of traffic the guy in the truck finally saw what he was causing and stopped and got out. By then someone in another truck had stopped in the middle of the road and is thinking that he is going to tow the guy out. So now the bus has no room to make the turn into the development. . . :sad2: So she has to let all the kids out on the main road (on a bad curve) where she's not supposed to! Oh my!!

So then DS8 finally makes it in here and tells me that he won the Dr. Seuss Day poetry contest for the whole 3rd grade!! There is one winner per grade and they will be honored in an assembly Monday! :goodvibes Awesome!!

Congrats to your son!!:dance3:

Hello MAYers!!

JO - What a story about Mark! Nice way to start off the weekend. :sad2: That was a nasty snowstorm we had Friday night. We were in your area last night. DH had to pick up a company vehicle for a trip tomorrow. We actually came right past your road!

Huggie - Great deal on Disney shopping! :woohoo:

Sea - I didn't realize your cruise was coming so soon! :cool1:

Mari - Another week closer to CSR & WDW!!!!!

So I feed the squirrels every day, they like to tap on my sliding doors and ask for more peanuts. So dh and I went to Costco to get more peanuts for my furry friends and when we got home I decided it was tme to clean up in the backyard. But I could see past the peanut shells. ACK:scared1:

what have I done!! I cleaned up most but it is crazy. I wish they would eat the shells too:rotfl:

I think I have to have a talk to them or come up with a squirrel feeding zone. :rolleyes1

The weekend was pretty uneventful! Another cold winter weekend. Went to dinner last night. That's about it. Went to church this morning and we have just been hanging out at home since.

I finished making our Disney photo albums this weekend! Now we just need some pictures to go inside of them!! :woohoo:

Wow- I just found this thread. I cannot believe the responses here. Anyway, for the past three years, we have always gone to Disney starting the day after Mothers Day. We love going this time of year. Although this year, I'm starting to get a little flak from DW. I really have to find some other offsite activities to do if I really want to make my wish come true and go back to WDW. I was starting to look into Discovery Cove, and maybe do NASA again.

DS's assembly is at 11:45 this morning. :goodvibes So right after DS6 gets home we need to leave for DS8's school! I was planning on dressing him in his nice clothes since he has to go up in front of the whole school and a bunch of parents, but then I realized that it is pajama day!! So he will be up in front of all those people in his Disney Cars pj's! :rotfl:

JO - Was your DH able to get you tickets to the Bon Jovi/Daughtry concert??? I was just looking at tickets on Ebay since they are all sold out everywhere else. . . They are bidding up pretty high!

Shelly - ONLY 68 DAYS MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
