How was the assembly? We want pics! That is so cute- getting an award in pj's! I love it.

Mark didn't even ask about tix to JBJ/Daughtry, b/c once I told him Billy Joel was coming, it wasn't a question. He is still working on those tix, though. His client that he calls on got, *ahem*, let go... so it's going to be a hard sell gettting anything like that for a bit without a client to entertain! LOL. He could entertain me all he wanted as long as I got to see B. Joel again.

Okay- anyone have a GREAT recipe for Tres Leches cake??? I need one. I had one of those cakes when we were in Cabo San Lucas at The One and Only Resort- which, btw, when I get rich, I want to live there forever...OMG it is so gorgeous...
Anyway, that cake was so good, and this weather has me thinking of our vacation there and then I started thinking of that cake, and now I want one. So if you have a tried and true recipe, please help a sister out.

hi everyone...
i see everyone has been busy

we unfortunately are still sick here, the kids flu turned into the family flu and dh and i got socked with it as well, we are on day 8 now, and are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so to say.
ds has missed 6 days of school, dh missed 4 days of work, i'm not sure we have ever had anything like this before...it was terrible, you name it , it was a symptom....and in case you were wondering ...yes we all had our flu shots...and it didnt stop it at all.

so happy its almost spring....I NEEED TO GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE!!!!!!!

The assembly was cute! It was a Dr. Seuss birthday themed thing. They read Dr. Seuss books, sang songs, played a jeopardy type game, pretty neat! He got a 1st place ribbon for his poem. He is just thrilled!

It made it up to 65 degrees today!! Makes ya feel like spring is coming. Too bad we are supposed to get rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow tonight and tomorrow.

Lake - Sorry everybody is sick. there's nothing worse then a sick DH. They are even worse then the kids sometimes.

NC - I was wondering where you were. Good luck with the wedding arrangements I know sometimes the bridesmaids go through more then the actual bride and groom.

Hello MAYers!

Welcome MissMommy!! Is this your first WDW trip??? Like Mari said - Epcot has a Mother's Day brunch. Not sure if there is anything else or not. We were there last year on Mother's Day but we avoided the parks and just relaxed at the resort and shopped at DTD that day. Will probably do the same again this year! Feel free to jump right in and ask us anything!! If you've been lurking you already know that we are quite the chatty bunch!

Actually I think it was one year ago this very week that I made my very first post on the DIS boards ~ And of course it was on the MAYer thread!! So ~ Happy MAYer Anniversary to me!

Hi All!

Went down to DL last night to meet up with some of my wife's VMK pals. We had a fun time, but we only had a little time to ride some rides, since the park closed at 8:00 p.m. We got there about 6:00, the traffic to the park was not too bad, but there were some accidents on the freeway that slowed us down. We park at DTD and rode the Monorail in and met up our friends at Tomorrowland. Rode the Matterhorn in the dark! We hadn't done that in a long time...so much scarier! Next up was Indy and after that Finding Nemo Submarines. Got some candy on Main Street and strolled down to DTD and did some shopping. My wife got a nightgown that says "Queen of the Kingdom". After that we all went to Rain Forest Cafe. Not busy at all, just walked in and got our table. The meal was great -we closed down the restaurant 10:45 p.m.! We had a awesome time, even though it was short time, we are going to get together again soon.

Jo: We have a 7 day crusie to Mexico on the Golden Princess, we visit Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Can't wait to eat, rest and eat some more!

Shelly: Thanks for the update on your son's Dr. Suess extravaganza. Very cool!

Lake: Sorry to hear that everyone got so sick. Hope you all feel better soon.

Huggie: The swing set installed yet? Are you going to have a big party when it is all set up? Your dinner sounded really good - especially the gravy part!

Hi MAYers!

Yesterday I took the kids to school and the temp was 68 degrees and a strom was blowing in!

Today I took the kids to school and themp was 28 degrees and snow on the ground. This is the only snow we have had this year. It was beautiful. It is melting fast!

When I read everyone's post about having 60 something degree weather and that we had snow here, I was thinking it must be opposite weather day!

Epcot does do a Mother's Day brunch but we have never done it. We usually go to Magic Kingdom on Mother's Day. I think at rope drop, they gave the mom's a carnation last year. Does anyone else remember that?
