Mornin-

didn't slep all night- Belle has allergies and hacked and coughed her head off.

So I watched the movie The Recruit with Colin Ferrell.... and that's all i'll say about THAT!

WE have Soccer in 30 minutes and I haven't even taken a shower yet- then we are off to Build a abear and the Disney Store for the rest of Belle's B-day celebration.

2 weeks exactly until the wedding!!!

awesome trip report nc! that's super exciting!!

i am going scrapbooking with a few people today (i am trying to finish up my album for the wedding - i am having people sign my scrapbook instead of a guestbook ... i hope it turns out cute) and then later tonight i am having my brother and sister sleep over... we'll order pizza and watch movies and stuff

MK today. We were there at rope drop. We headed straight for Space, then Astro, and Buzz. Then we hit the teacups, HM, BTM, and PotC. The lunch at Pecos Bills at 11:15. They had the Taco Salad there today. It was yummy. We then hit Splash and I must say it was splashier than I remember. Even with my dorky poncho I was wet.

We then rode Jungle Cruise and ds captained the boat. While he was driving our Captain Laura goosed him and he must have jumped a mile. It was too funny.

We then headed back to Tomorrowland. We rode COP, TTA, and Space. We then found a great spot for the parade. We have not seen the MK afternoon parade in years. I really enjoyed it.

We are headed out to HDDR tonight. More later. I need a shower.

NC - I have enjoyed reading you report. I have to say reading this last one warms my heart. I worked at Peco's when I was on the College Program in 1993. That was before they redid it. Our costumes were these short red salon dressses. I have to eat there every time I go. Glad you are having a great time.

We are back.

Good Lord, FYI- never, and I mean NEVER take your darling big eyed Daddy's girl into Build-a-Bear WITH said Daddy.

I am in complete sticker shock. FOr what that child came out with today for ONE BEAR, we could've eaten out at LeCellier. I AM NOT KIDDING.

First off, it was that she saw a hot pink bear with hearts in the fur. Um, it was cute, but not what i had in mind. I told her to pick something different and she proceeded to alligator tear drop all over the store, quietly sobbing, not a loud- pitch a fit scream. Daddy's heart broke. "Okay Belle, just get two bears- anything you want, just choose them-" I shot him "The Look".

I somehow managed to work us out of THAT fiasco, only to have her work her magic on him at another table full of Disney outfits! She did end up with a Tinkerbelle fairy outfit that is going to match her Halloween costume- and then she proceeded to accessorize her poodle- not a bear- with one of every single thing they had.

WE PAID RIGHT AT $4.00 FOR A PAIR OF BEAR UNDERWEAR. What the crap is up with that??????????????????? For one, What the heck kind of bear wears underwear, and two, why am I paying for them? And anyway- it's not a bear, it's a poodle...a dog, for cryin' out crap. Don't they just lift their leg to go? It's not like they need to cover themselves up because with that one motion, they expose everything they have to everyone that's watching. Sheesh.

Oh yes, we had JUST come out of TDS where she got a couple of things and I threw in some Tinkerbelle gifts for the trip- everything was 40% off of the already reduced sale prices.

Anyway, lesson learned. I should have Known better than to let Mark anywhere near that store with us. She truly is my child- has him completely wrapped.

All in all it was a great day-
went down to the North Shore and walked the river a bit then went to the Pittsburgh Pirate stadium and went in- for free(Good thing, too, 'cause we had just gotten finished paying for Bear underwear, that a dog was going to wear.)- they were having a high school playoff game! The kids enjoyed that.

So now we are home and tired an cranky.

I want pizza, but instead, we bought a freakin' pink poodle stuffed bear that has on pink underwear.

UGH.


Good to hear from the MAYers! WE will all catch up on Monday!!! Not many more days now to go...

NC, how was HDDR?

Hey! HDDR was awesome as always. Everytime we have ever been every table is filled. You are all seated at once and everyone is served at the same time during the show.

The show was as silly as ever. We love it. It is just full of cornball humor which right down my family's ally.

We had a travel fiasco. We used to stay at CR mostly, so we would just take the boat from CR to Ft. Wilderness. No biggie.

Last year, we took the bus to MK, then boat to FW for HDDR. We were going to do that last night but with grad night, we thought we would take a bus to DHS and then another bus to Ft. Wilderness.

Well, the first bit of trouble was waiting for over 30 minutes for the bus to Ft. Wilderness. They share a bus with Wilderness Lodge. One of the things we hated most when we stayed at a deluxe resort was watching all the value hotels getting a bus every 10 minutes, while we only got one every 30 and then shared it with at least one other hotel. Yuck!

Well, the bus FINALLY comes. We load on, and of course, the bus stops first at Wilderness Lodge. Let's off and on an assortment of tourist. Hurry up people. The Newcrews have places to go and people to see. My DH jokingly says, hey, we could get off and take the boat from here. Ha! Ha! (at this point we have been traveling for a little over 1 hour, counting the 30 minutes of waiting at DHS.) So we stay on the bus, and arrive at Ft Wilderness. Big mistake!

It is now time for HDDR to start, 7:15. We get off the bus at Ft. Wilderness, and holy cow, where the heck is Pioneer Hall? No where to be seen. So we look at a map at the bus stop and hook up with another family that has been riding buses for 2 hours trying to to HDDR. We all start walking when a family that is camping at FT. Wilderness tells us we would be better off to take ANOTHER BUS! That is about 2 miles to Pioneer Hall.

So, back to the bus stop. We get on another bus, that stops at 100 different camp sites. And then at 7:31, we arrive at Pioneer Hall!!! Most families had been served. We were served immediately and the show was awesome!!!

Then after, we decided to take the boat to MK as there is no way we are getting on another bus tonight. But alas, the boat was not running back to MK due to Grad Night!

So then the boat captain has to get on his radio to ask a thousand questions.

He comes back and says that he can take us (and several other families back to CR, where we can take a bus to DTD, and then to our resort.) So we get on the bus to CR, get to CR and take a cab back to Pop!

Remember, we used to stay at CR so we know it takes about 30 minutes to get a bus to DTD and about 30 minutes to get there. So there is no stinking way at 9:30 at night we are going to wait for a bus to DTD.

I mentioned this to another family standing there. But the wife just shot me a look and said, it will not take THAT long for a bus.

Well, there were no cabs, but the valet called one for us that was there in like 1 minute. We hadn't even made it to the bench to sit down.

We hopped in our cab, and as we were driving away, we saw a HUGE line of buses coming into MK for Grad Night. No buses to DTD headed toward the CR. No not one.

Price of cab from CR to Pop! $20.

Getting back to our resort before 10 p.m. - Priceless!

Today we went to AK!!!

We had a blast!

We were there at rope drop. The first one thru our turnstiles. Thanks to my DH. We were in line behind maybe 3 or 4 teenage girls. Well, while we were waiting suddenly it turned into about 12 girls, a couple of guys and one of the girls was saying, the others are afraid to come up here. Go tell them to come up here. Well, my DH says, Hey guys! When we got in line, there were 3 or 4 of you. Now there are more than 12. We got here early, and now you talking about bringing more of your friends up here who didn't get here as early as we did. Well, the kids then said we could go ahead of them. They were actually very nice. I was getting very irritated with the kids. It is one thing if one or two people in your party goes to the restroom, or to get a map, etc. It is another to let 20 of your closest friends join in you in line. Big difference in my book.

We then go to the front of the park to wait for the opening ceremony. DD is picked to help open the park and is given a magical moment certificate.

We got to ride EE 3 times. It was awesome!

We went to Tusker House for the character breakfast. We really enjoyed it.

Rode the Safari, saw Flights of Wonder, and then Lion King! We also rode Primevil Whirl and Dinosaur. It was a great day.

We came back to the resort to rest this afternoon and this evening.

I really enjoy Pop! It just has a cheery atmosphere.

Tomorrow, I meet Sulley!!!

I'll be texting you girl!
