May 12 Wonder Cruisers

I will be travelling alone on the May 12 Wonder in order to experience and write an article on what it's like for a married woman to cruise SOLO on DCL. The article will be a feature on one of my websites. Although my occupation is (wildlife) photographer and independent travel agent, this will be an honest account of my experiences, not a sales tactic. I will also be shooting lots of photos on the ship and would LOVE to photograph any willing DISers who will be on the same cruise. I would use some of them on the website and send you a CD with the scanned photos. So if any of you are interested, let me know. Thanks! - Shari

I'd like to clarify that when I say "married woman cruising solo" I do NOT mean posing as "single!" I will be alone in order to have time to photograph and review everything at my own pace, which was not the case in January. Anyone on this board willing to be photographed (no posing required!) during the cruise would receive a CD of the photos at no charge, of course. Some people have contacted me who are interested, but they are not DISers, which I would prefer ;-). Thanks!

Thanks for directing me here, Taswira. This looks like a FANTASTIC forum with tons of info. I'm gonna see if I can take vacation and join that May 12 cruise. I want to be a part of it all even if I might have to go alone too. It sounds like a fine idea and I LIKE having my picture taken! I can see from this board that I have a lot to learn and I plan to read as many posts as possible.

Thanks, fan1disney! This definitely WON'T be my last DCL cruise, so hopefully we'll meet in the future. FYI for all DISers: I will be in stateroom 7628 (Deck 7, Navigator's Verandah). It seems I recall someone else who will be on the May 12 cruise mentioned their stateroom # which seemed to be nearby, but I can't recall who it was (?).

I can't get vacation until July so it looks like I won't be able to join your cruise. I can't believe no one else on this board has volunteered to be a photo subject for you! Sure sounds like FUN!

If you do another cruise next year I'm sure I could go if I know the date far enough ahead. Why don't we get a small group together and maybe you can do a VCD for everyone so they can watch it on their regular DVD players. I heard you did a safari one. Anyone out there up for that? We could have a DIS-er only DVD of our Disney cruise!

No worries, andicat. I got a PM from a couple of DISers on the cruise who sound VERY interesting. And you're right, I can just as easily do a VCD for viewng on a DVD player if desired.

Thought I'd answer you here in order to bump this up for anyone new to the board who might be cruising May 12.
