may 12, 2012 7 Night Western on the Fantasy

LuAnn, have you looked at the homemade FE thread yet? popcorn:: You can get more ideas there. Some of those people are so talented!!

Hi Melody,
Yes, I have looked through that thread. I totally agree about a lot of those people being really talented! The magnet designers are super talented, too! We have a couple of ideas, but not anywhere near the caliber of some folks.

It makes for a fun way to pass the time before the cruise. I'm glad I came across this discussion board.

I can't believe that no one posted that we're in DOUBLE DIGITS NOW!!!!

Is anyone celebrating something special on this cruise???

We're celebrating our 3rd anniversary, and DS Jack's first cruise!!! :thumbsup2

My 29th birthday is the day before we sail, and our 4th anniversary is the week before. We'll be celebrating those!! :cool1:

Wooo Hooo!!!! Just paid off the cruise :cool1: Let the planning fun begin  We'll be celebrating my daughter's 12th birthday on the cruise - May 17th :) Now to get started on making our FE...

WOO HOO!

Paid in Full is the best feeling ever!

What has everyone decided to book "extra's" wise?

I am booking the Amazing Secret River excursion, and Palo for brunch if I can get them!

We would love to get Palo brunch!!! (there were no spots left when we looked though) maybe some pixiedust: will come our way!!!

I know. :guilty: I'm not going to hold my breath, but if we can get either of these it would be great! I am a little nervous about the availability of the secret river too.

We'll see! I have less than a week until we can book, so hopefully we'll get it! :goodvibes

Hey everyone :)
So how many of us are going to be logging on at midnight on Sunday to try and get those excursions booked :)
It'll be 5am UK time so an early start for me!

I don't get to book until the 27th :( The only thing my son wants to do is the dolphin touch. So I am praying that we can do that at one of the ports. I heard that they usually release a a few spots for each at each of the booking times. So hoping that I can snag our spots. We shall see, hope that everyone gets what they want!

WOW, 20 years. Congratulations!!!! I guess by then DS will be 17, and we will need the cruise without him!!!

rusafee1183, I hope you can get something good, and DIsney has saved some spots for you. I think they do stagger the time slots, so everyone atleast has a chance. :yay:

Linda67, sounds like you're ready to get up that early. I would need a lot of coffee!! :surfweb:

Hi,

Just found this website and wanted too say my family and I will be joining you guys! We booked a long time ago and getting very excited to go! This will be my family's very first cruise! We have been too Disneyland a couple of times and Disney World once.

We are flying in from Alberta, Canada
Vanessa (33)
Kevin (34)
Faith (16)
Angelina (6)

Can't wait, but nervous that we may get motion sickness. Any tips on how to prevent motion sickness? and as this is the first time we are going, will it be hard to book any port adventures? We really want to swim with the dolphins and do the ruins in Mexico!
Not sure about the FE as I just found this website and don't really know what it is; will have to get more info and talk to my daughters about it.

:welcome: Were so glad you found the boards, and have booked this cruise!!! It's going to be so much fun. If you enjoyed Disney, and like shows and great food then you'll really enjoy your vacation on the cruise. I suffer from really bad motion sickness:sick:, and have found Bonine to work really well. Some others will recommend the Sea Bands, but I've never tried them. Also, the ship has free generic Bonine on deck 1, near the clinic there. So, if you can't find it or run out they will have some. :)
I'm not sure about booking those excursions, I would think that the ruins in Mexico would be open, but it seems that swimming with the dolphins filled up really fast on our last cruises. I will send some pixiedust: your way and hope you get the ones you want!!!
The FE is like a little gift exchange, it's really a lot of fun to give and to come back to the room and find little goodies waiting for you. :yay: (We did it before we had our son and enjoyed it, I'm sure the kids think it's great too)
If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Great! I have you on the list. Let me know your cabin number when you know it. As mentioned the FE is a gift exchange where those participating purchase or make little gifts and leave them in the Fish Extenders for everyone else participating in the FE gift exchange. So if 20 cabins participate, you'll need 19 gifts (unless you want to give a gift to yourself too!).

Examples of gifts include candy, glow sticks, tattoos, postcards, pins, pens, sunscreen wipes, mini-sewing kits, scrapbook type items, trinkets, toys, whatever you want really.

If you decide you want to participate just let me know. I'll probably close the FE gift exchange list about 2 weeks before the sail date so people will know exactly how many gifts they will need.

Can't believe we can book excursions Sunday! I am so torn. Not being beach people nothing looks all that great in Grand Cayman. And my niece and nephew really want to do the ziplining in Costa Maya, and I'd rather do the ruins.

We have several celebrations while on our cruise. First of all in May it will be our 30th anniversary. Second, my birthday will be on Sunday, along with Mother's Day. Third, our daughter Alyssa will be celebrating her birthday while on the cruise. Fourth, we are cruising on the Disney Fantasy!!! That's a lot of celebrating!!!!!!!!!!!

 Welcome!

I suffer from really bad motion sickness also. I tried Bonine last year and ginger tablets. It helped a little, but nothing really worked for me until I just got used to being on the ship. The first day dna a half I was really sick and I just went to the spa and laid in the rainforest room until it passed. Obviously I got over it, since we booked to go back!

Hopefully it won't be that bad for you

That's great to know that they have Bonine for free on the ship. I bought a bunch of it last year, it didn't work GREAT for me - so I will buy something else, but it's good to know that they have it available. :thumbsup2

Do they hand it out pretty freely?

My son pointed out to me that I forgot the real reason we are going on the cruise--his graduating from college the first week of May. He will have a degree in business and finance-- now that's reason to celebrate!!
