YAY to Hadley and Kelly for thinking of us when Vegas came up in your conversation! You have no idea how happy I got at the prospect of a visit from you guys, or anyone else from the ship!

Then of course, the big crybaby, I see more of Debbie's pics and another mention of where we were a month ago, and the waterworks start. But I LOVE it, so don't stop!

Jennifer--I am so sorry about your loss. Big hugs to you and to Rachid when he gets back.

Erik--We NEVER cruise when schools are out (even when mine were in school and I had to fight principals to take them out). Even as a child loving parent I don't lie THAT many kids in a small space at one time.

Funniest part...

too many to count..

I think our family's funniest was that everyone knew Lena (DD4). We would walk down the halls and the CM's would yell " Hi Lena", we were known as Lena's mother, Lena's father etc... every CM seemed to know her. It was like the TV show "Cheers", When Norm walked in, everyone yelled "Norm!" When Lena walked the deck, it was "Lena!"


Also, I would say Tom's on-stage dance with Rachel. What a surprise!!!
We had so many laughs with the "group", it's hard to say what was the best.

I still want to know what Rachid, Tom, and Alex were doing in the sauna so much...

The youth counselors were so great, I really miss them. We had so many long talks about their job and their life on board. They treated my girls so wonderful. Our server were so fantastic. Our ***'t server was so sad when we left, it broke my heart. He had a little girl at home and he said my girls reminded him of his daughter.

I'm with you, it is exactly what you make of it. For many of us who have sun all year, it is great to have the less sunny sunburn weather. I did go back to buy the gay pirate picture, but it was gone and new boring family was up there!

Hey I came back to slim fast so cardboard would be better. LOL Only joking the food was amazing!!!! Thats why I now need the slimfast. Plus if you dont like the adult food do what I did and order off the kids menu its great lol.

Well, guys, I have a story to tell you...

As many of you know I came home to a house full of company waiting to go to DL. My SIL had quite a surprise for everyone today... don't know how she kept it a secret for a week. Her daughter's b'day was today (7) and she arranged for Snow White (the one from DL!!!) That's right the real one - to come to the house for a tea party. She spent an hour playing with Zoe and Avery and having lunch with us. It was absolutely adorable. Apparently, several prince and princess will be available for private parties in the near future, so let me know if you are interested. We've been visiting this particular Snow White for several years and emailing her, so she found out how to do it. It was one of the cutest things we'd ever seen. My SIL was just in tears, but worse was Jonathan who acted like we had a rock star in the house. Big Disney day here.

OK I found the post. OH MY GOD this is so cool. Can she come to my house in the UK? Actually scrap that can Captain Jack come to my house?

I cant believe what an amazing idea this is the most i got at my birthday party was Ronald McDonald. So not fair!!!!

Just a quick note - we ran into Karen & Alex on Friday June 8 at the chocolate musuem in Barcelona - they were due to fly out that night. I am not sure when they were getting home, I got the impression they weren't flying directly home. MacKensie seemed to be doing well -she was playing and generally being a kid.

I guess my funniest thing is similar (not that I could really pick one. I absolutely can't pick one best thing, or even ten).

Anyway, on Day 1, every time I said Rio's name (a lot because he was so excited to finally be there and was a bit hard to keep track of) at least one person would turn around and say "You must be Hadley" or something along those lines. Gotta love the DIS Even weider, when we were waiting for the rope to come down so we could go to the satteroom someone was all excited that "that's Rio." I figured she must be from the DIS. No, she had seen his basket waiting to come to the ship when she had been at the Perfect Gift the day before (she was great about talkign in code adn not spoiling the surprise). So even people not from the DIS knew about my little star before we ever arrived . It was a weird feeling.

I also want to thank all the DIS members for the wonderful little gifts that were left for my girls. They loved coming back to the room and finding little treats in my so-called fish extender. They were so spoiled that by the end of the cruise, when the gifts had stopped; I had to buy a few little gifts from Mickey's Mates to surprise them!

Disboarders in our PJ picture there is a lady on the right side who has grey shorts on. I think she is the lady who took a picture of my husband with the monkey on his head when we were on top of the rock. If she is reading this thread and did take his picture I would love to have it. My kids would just love to see a picture of their Dad with this monkey. I was laughing so hard I couldn't get my camera out of my purse fast enough to snap the picture. Thanks!

Hey guys, There were quite a few of us on the trip who are also on the PC westbound (and a few eastbounders.) Elizabeth organized a nice lunch to get everyone together that I absent mindedly almost missed, but squeezed in 5 minutes. The other thread is so huge that most of us are not participating in it, so I was thinking that we'd begin a thread "From the Med to the PC" so that we can all continue to talk to each other about our planning for the PC. There are many (I'm sure) who are on other Med cruises throughout the summer who may want to join in to help each other plan. We could make it east as well (like the Med Thread.) I think it may be easier than the massive thread already going, thoughts? Anyone else? Even those of you who aren't sure you are going to keep your ressie.

Jennifer - I am so sorry to hear about Rashid's brother. And yes, I also believe things happen for a reason. I'm glad Rashid was able to catch a flight from JFK right away.

Milestogo - what an amazing thing your SIL did with Snow White. I can just imagine the two little girls (and the big people too!) were beyond thrilled. Wasn't it SIL who opened up the house, dusted and stocked groceries too? You have a good SIL!

Chris - DH gets to Vegas several times a year for conferences. He missed the transatlantic cruise for one of said conferences in Vegas! Maybe one of these times I'll tag along and come for a visit.

Deanna - Belated congrats on DD's win in her puffy gown! That is wonderful. I agree with all the others, she gets her grace, charm, warm personality and all the other wonderful things from her mama. Thank you again for spending time with DD and teaching her to knit. She loves it. Note to other DIS'ers - anyone want a scarf? We are starting to accumulate a few!

Debbie - I love the "a month ago today" pics. It brings back such great memories. As I am running around during the day, I find myself daydreaming about the ship. It is so hard to believe it has already been a month!

We have been swamped with end of school year activities. DD3 finished yesterday, DD13 finishes today, and DD11 has one more week. DD3's birthday is on monday and I haven't even started to think about it yet . We are looking forward to lazy summer days with no scheduled activities except swim practice
