Lazy summer days? How on earth do you manage that with three kids?!?! Between now and mid August (2 months total time) we have (that I know of now):
swim lessons (every day for 2 weeks)
tennis lessons (2 weeks)
camp (1 week)
karate (year round schedule)
gymanstics (year round)
two weeks with a little boy from the Fresh Air Fund
two weeks with a teen girl from Germany (exchange student program)
a week with my mom visiting here plus spending three days with her in NYC

There is a reason I NEED all those sea days on board the Magic:rotfl2:

Hey guys, There were quite a few of us on the trip who are also on the PC westbound (and a few eastbounders.) Elizabeth organized a nice lunch to get everyone together that I absent mindedly almost missed, but squeezed in 5 minutes. The other thread is so huge that most of us are not participating in it, so I was thinking that we'd begin a thread "From the Med to the PC" so that we can all continue to talk to each other about our planning for the PC. There are many (I'm sure) who are on other Med cruises throughout the summer who may want to join in to help each other plan. We could make it east as well (like the Med Thread.) I think it may be easier than the massive thread already going, thoughts? Anyone else? Even those of you who aren't sure you are going to keep your ressie.

I'm in (but we're doing eastbound PC).

Still searching for the pink Furla purse in case anyone was wondering. Can't find it anywhere!

Jennifer, Please extend our condolences to Rachid. Pixie dust is being sent your way.

That would be great, as I don't have time to keep up with all the posts! And I absent mindedly missed the lunch. Laid down on the bed for a couple of minutes and when I woke back up it was afternoon!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Normally we would have a couple of trips to visit friends and family and a car trip to someplace. Somewhere in there would be a couple of weeks of day camp too. We love to travel (ya' think? :rotfl2: ) and tend to "hit the road" as soon as school's out. This year though we did our travelling during school (!) with our marvelous transatlantic trip and the unplanned trip to PA so other than a weeklong family reunion in the Sierra's we will be staying close to home this summer. The kids are so burned out with school and homework they didn't want any "scheduled" activities or camps either. They just want to hang out at our pool or the beach. We do still have swim team (year round) practice at least 3X/week and now that word is out that we will be around for the summer we are likely to have several sets of houseguests, but that is easy!

And how many "other" purses did you buy while searching for said purse? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: j/k

She bought WAAAAAYYYY too many!!!!:rotfl2:

(Though I still like my bargins better. 4 Prada purses for $40!!! :cool1: Only in Rome!
It was pretty funny, though. As we were buying them, the police were coming to clear the streets of the vendors selling the knock-off purses and sunglasses. Our "salesman" started running down the street to get away and we ran along with him still bargaining for the purses!!)

Ahhhh! The thrill of the chase!!

You're very funny little purse comedians!!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

True Jennifer did get a far better deal!!! :lmao:

have you tried ebags?

Or that netflix for purses thing? I'm so not kidding....I have a very good friend here in Rochester who is OBSESSED with having beautiful, trendy handbags...but works for a not for profit so she can't afford to buy them...AND she can only afford to live in a studio so she would have nowhere to store them even if she DID buy them....BUT the whole deal with purses is that you really only need to HAVE one or two that you use all the time and the others you use much more intermittently and occasionally....so she found some business that works just like netflix and you pay a membership fee and you actually get to have two or three REAL designer handbags at any time and once you've it and you want a new one or whatever you send it back and online you order the next bag, etc. etc. So this poor girl who barely has 2 cents to rub together runs around this town with the most EXCEPTIONAL collection of handbags on Earth...because she never really has to pay for them. For all you handbag junkies you should totally look into it! :)

Found the purse, now that I've searched all over Europe, I didn't love it as much. But may have to buy it just to satisfy my frustration.

I have heard of that - that is a great idea!!!!

Maybe I could start a lending purse library of my own :lmao:

Thank you for the sweet compliments, CACruisin!!!! I'm glad your daughter is enjoying the iknitting. It was so much fun to teach her!
