Ken - I saw PrincessTToo on the PC site and their signature does not mention this cruise but does have the WB PC 2008 listed. If you want me to hunt for others let me know and I will help with that.

Well.. if they are still on this sailing, they have moved staterooms. Scoobypop is now in their room! (I could not figure out why it was already filled in on the map!):rotfl2:

Hi all!!
Been trying to catch up reading all the pages on htis thread. DW (Sherry) and I (Jerry) are on board and ready to join the fun.
We'll be in the main seating for dinner and in cabin 6594. After the cruise we're going to Paris for a few days, then to DLP. I need suggestions for getting to Paris from Barcelona, Please.

Welcome!!

Welcome!!

We are spending a day or so at DLP immediately following the cruise. Looking to take EasyJet also. The husband of a friend of mine fiies in Europe often and recommeded them. It is the Southwest of Europe.

OK...Thanks for the info about Animator's. Our Palo dinner is not until Day 10 of the cruise....so I"m sure we'll be able to see the show before then as we'll have eaten in AP at least 3 times by then....they're BOUND to have done the show by that point.

Now my other dining concern is that our Palo Brunch is scheduled for Thursday, May 17th....and I read somewhere that the character breakfasts are sometimes scheduled for Thursdays.....and I don't know if it's silly for 2 grown men to want to eat breakfast with characters...but too bad! :) I love characters!:thumbsup2

OK...another question.....has anyone done the singles or couples treatments in the onboard villas? I noticed on the list of services offered that each session is about an hour longer than the treatments offered during the session. I assume this extra time is set aside for you to lounge on the beds I saw pictured or soak in the private hot-tub....but can anyone describe to me specifically how does a session work? Do you do the massage or therapy first and then get free time or what? And obviously they're kinda pricey....but is it worth it? I'm definitely looking at Jason and I doing one of the couple villas things (we usually do couples massage in the Castaway Cabanas but decided to do a morning excursion this time...so we want to replace it with something equally special and fun).

Thanks!

Well, I have been thinking about the weather on the cruise. My DH and I think it will be cold and windy across the Atlantic, but warm and sunny in Tenerife, Cadiz and Gibtraltar.

 My biggest problem is packing.....what to wear on the ship? Track suit? swim suit? Warm up suit? Jackets and sweaters? Hats, gloves? :confused3

We are Floridians, and we are used to cruising the Caribbean in shorts and tank tops with flip flops......gonna have to wear real shoes on this trip!

Also, since we have a flight from Barcelona to Rome, our suitcases cannot be too big or too heavy! And only 2 each! All those formal and dress up clothes!

Ohh, I need advice! :lmao: :lmao:

Dont even think about eating, the food is terrible although you will find the worlds:surfweb: best ice cold smoothies at each end of Main Street.:surfweb:

All my DH wants is to go to an English Pub! Which one is your favorite? :drinking1

Tig82174 - be careful of the private hot tubs. It was stated on another thread that there are 2 of them that can be seen from the decks above. So if you really want to be private make sure that you don't get one of these!

Hi again,

welcome to Magical_Dreams and jw2736!!!!

Nick is 4 and Lilly is 2 next week

Dubai is an incredible place to live. the building and general construction here (such as the two palms and the world ) are really amazing - in fact almost out of control. it is rumored that about 75% of the worlds construction cranes are located here! I will bring some info on it all (luggage space permitting) however the culture and rules here are far more relaxed than other countries in the region - for example we can dress in our normal clothes, drive and even drink (although not when driving of course!).

Australia is truly beautiful and well worth a visit - it has something for everyone.

we are visiting DLP for a couple of days on the way over to help the kids adjust to the big time zone difference.

interesting about the hijack - always a concern, but far less so on the bigger airlines now.

I'm jealous, too....I'm in Buffalo right now and it's very blustery and cold and snowy....and I have to spend all day at the med center here talking to doctors and nurses about the dangers of club drugs......which might sound INTERESTING...but not nearly as EXCITING as DisneyLand or DisneyWorld!!!

Stay warm.

We live just up thje road from you and we are also worried about the temperature. We are leaning toward a sweater or a sweatshirt, maybe a pair of sweatpants, a hat and gloves. If we wear the same sweater or sweatshirt for 6-7 days in a row, then so be it. If it is a Disney sweatshirt no one will ever notice.

We are also concerned about luggage size and weight. I am still waiting for the t-shirt design as a formal shirt with tropical flowers and a splash of pirate to wear for formal night, tropical night and pirate night. I can't remember who was designing it, did I miss the final design?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Alex

Hey Ken, we're going to DL today too. If you get this before you leave send me your phone... 80 degrees here today! It's pretty unusual since our norm is in the mid-high 60's this time of year. Yesterday was 75, so we got outside to do some gardening. The bad weather destroyed all our gardens, now everything is starting to bloom and looks terrible.

I would be interested in the dangers of club drugs! (for those of you who don't know, I'm a drug educator)

JW2736: Welcome! I have done a ton of research on going from Barcelona to Paris as we are doing the same thing. There are several Air France flights around 12:30-1:00, book the round trip (its a false return) It is the best deal at around $150-170. In Europe kids get a child rate, so be careful booking yourself online. The train was too long and had transfers, with the luggage we though air was a better choice. There are flights through Madrid that are one way, but they are a 4 hour trip verses the r/t that is 2 hours! Have you decided where you are staying?

Regarding the clothes: We are assuming the weather in the Med will be similar to Southern Cal., so we are going to bring one hoody or sweat shirt and probably wear them on the plane to keep the bulk and weight down on the luggage. Nobody is going to care if we wear the same clothes over and over again. For those of us on the B2B, we are not bringing tons of dress up clothes because it would be two more suitcases! We'll be mixing and matching blacks. DH's shoes (one pair) alone take up half a side of a suitcase and weigh almost 4 pounds. Erik had a great idea about wearing the dress shoes on the plane - so keep that in mind! Since we are doing 4 different trips (basically) WDW, repo, 11 night and Paris, it was easy to eliminate the dress up clothes first to reduce weight.

Re: The two palms and the world construction. We watched a documentary about this construction... it was so fascinating that we watched it twice!! It must be stunning.

Debbie, did you see my post about the fishextenders? I really liked the pictures of them!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I finally made a decision and purchased my travel insurance yesterday. I compared DVC, DCL and Travel Insured and went with Travel Insured. It covered far more than the others and was half the price of DCL. Thought I'd post this big pain in the butt in case anyone else was burdened by this extra hassle (time, research and expense!)

It's never silly to want to eat breakfast with the characters. :thumbsup2

My brunch is on that day as well. I don't want to miss CB either. Thats the bad thing about makin' ressies, you never know what you might miss.

Here's another welcome to Magical_Dreams and jw2736!!

It was 2 when I left the house today, so the thought of warm weather and DL is making me feel something's wrong with my life....

And I am another big character dining fan!! Our brunch is May 19th, and hopefully we'll be good despite making random reservations (so hard for a planning type of person, but what can you do). We picked my birthday for the brunch and our anniversary for dinner on the theory that if we hit pirate night or the character brunch, we would be at Palo for our special days and that would make up for missing other stuff.

Stay warm! (a wish that's more useful to some than others!)

 Cupcake

I'm a big fan of characters too. And it's just DH and me. I'm thinking about making a special autograph book for the cruise, since I haven't had character pics in awhile. I figure the lines shouldn't be too bad on this cruise more adults than kids, and not a lot of anyone.

So which characters might we see...Mickey and Friends, Princesses, Peter Pan characters...anyone else?
