I remembered! I didn't even make it upstairs to put the extension cords in the pile.

Do they have clocks in the room? It's been 6 years since our last cruise with Disney and they didn't have them then.

Thanks!

Lori

Clocks yes! Very cool propellor ones I might add. They do not have any sort of light on them so you cannot read them in the dark. This can be a problem. We pack an LCD travel clock to keep by the bed so we know what time it is when we wake up in the night (I guess this is most important in interoir rooms where there is no sun cue).

There is also a channel on the TV that shows the time, and other ship info...The propeller clocks are not there anymore - the clock is different. There is a clock, but they changed the style.

Ken- which shuttle do you use? We have just booked a long weekend at Disneyland Grand Califorian and don't want a rental car...any suggestions? We will be flying into Long Beach (I love Jet Blue!)

Thanks...

Padalyn, we always use Super Shuttle when we fly in, but we fly into John Wayne, I don't know how close or far that is from Long Beach. There is ALWAYS a Super Shuttle $2 off coupon if you pre pay online. I'm sorry, I don't know if I can post a link, but I'll try.

We always stay at Grand Californian too, and with the coupon, it costs $8 from Orange County airport to the hotel.

No propeller clock?!?:sad2: I always liked that clock. Man they have sure changed A LOT of things in the past 8 months. Gee whiz.

Oh Scooby - that is great info!! Thanks. that is 8 per person or total? we are a group of 3. Even if it is 8 ea that is reasonable.

For me to use a service to get to an airport here in NJ - it is about 100 ea way!. JFK is 45 min, LGA about 35 min, and EWR about 40 min...none further than 20 miles....go figure.

We park at the airport for short term trips, and use friends/limos for long haul trips. It is a pain - the tolls are high also - around 20 round trip. NYC is expensive :rolleyes1

Maybe that's what I remember. I know I needed one at night. I guess I'm still packing my clock. It might be a good think I'm throwing in two extension cords. I just don't want DH to see. He'll think I've lost it completely!

Did I see somewhere that someone is planning on using the Metro in Barcelona? At first I was thinking tourist bus, but now looking at the difference in price for 4 people between that and just a couple of T10 cards, I'm thinking we should just do the Metro. It looks like most of what we want is on the purple line L2, so we will be adventurers, I think. But if someone else has been researching it, I would love to hear your tips.

Yesterday Rob and I were at H2O Plus, and for kicks we thought we'd ask the lady if she knew what products they are using on DCL. We certainly didn't expect her to have any idea. Well, she went in the back, and came out with the ACTUAL products--they had the Disney Cruise Logo, Mickey on the top, everything! If they are the exact same ones she showed us, they are a really good size too! I know it's been talked about on this board already, but it seems like a really good product. Anyone stressing about room for toiletries or the sizes or quality of the product, these looked great, although some people have been on the cruise since fall, and probably have better info as to whether or not what they showed us is the actual size of what DCL gives in the staterooms. Just thought it was cool to see the H2O product with the logo on it in our store here in Las Vegas.

Oops, should have clarified, it is $8 each way, and that is per person. We think that is very reasonable and we always seem to get dropped off first. I don't know if Super Shuttle has some kind of system with Grand Californian or not, but we always seem to get dropped off before people at any other surrounding hotels. Maybe it's been coincidence, but that has been our experience.

when we were on the Wonder in Oct they had the new clocks out. They changed the linens, the toiletries and a few other things as well. I think the Magic was updated before the Wonder was. I could be wrong of course...

The body butter is 2.7oz. Just be careful if you have allergies. My partner can't use the butter - it contains coconut, the soap is hemp based as is the shampoo - I don't like the shampoo. I find it makes my hair very unmanagable and fly away. I liked the body bar, but it dried me out in 3 days. I will be a raisin if I use it for 25!!

Just saw via All Ears that WDW/DVC resorts will be no smoking, to include balconies, wonder how and if this will affect DCL?

Also, re parking, etc, as we drive to Denver now to fly most places, we have found a few hotels that offer free parking if you spend a night at their property.

huh..I must be doing something wrong - the web site is telling me 90.00 round trip for the 3 of us. That is 15.00 each way with the group van discount...I think I will call them instead. Maybe I am doing it wrong.

nope - I called them since the airport is on the other side of the city - the cost is 90 round trip for 3 people. oh well, still less than NYC!

It very well may be more money from that airport. I really don't know the relation from Long Beach vs. Orange County (John Wayne) airport. Maybe Kelly would know more? She lives nearby.

Don't forget to send your Mother's Day cards before leaving.

Already did that!! Will be leaving the gift when I drop off the child at the grandparents house next Wednesday! Next Wednesday?!?! Holy monkeys it is almost here!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Yeah it looks a bit like a gone wrong sun or a cross between a number of propellors. Not as nice I don't think

So cool. Weird question but I'm curious could you have brought them or did they just randomly have them in the store?
