We gave up our suite. It was a hard decision as we had a midship cat 3 booked but DCL came out with new military rates yesterday afternoon and they were too good to pass up so we're now in 6568 (cat 6) for both cruises. We're looking forward to settling into the same cabin for 25 nights. I was dreading having to switch cabins between cruises. We've got enough moving going on right now.

Just thought of something today....
if the flight leaves at 10
and we need to be there 2 hrs before
and it takes 1/2 hour to travel to the airport

we need to clear customs at the port at 7:30
not much time for breakfast. hope DCL keeps that in mind.

That REALLY does cut it close! We have an 11":30 flight and I thought that was cutting it pretty close. Connie

I guess I'm the last one that has not received the DCL "surprise". Maybe by the time I get home from the cruise I will have it. Needless to say I am using a different TA for the PC cruise!

Nope. We still haven't received it. And we didn't use a TA - we booked direct.

I was just thinking about catching a cab or something from the Airport to the hotel we are staying at in Coco Beach. Anybody know if renting the car will be cheaper in the long run? Or easier? Any idea what a cab would cost from the airport to Coco Beach, we are staying at the Comfort Inn there.

Cheers!!

Pat

Pat,
I have never thought of taking a taxi so far (it is about 70 km from the airport to Coco Beach) so I'd imagine the fair would be quite steep. We have rented cars sevral times which is pretty easy and cheap (and gives you the flexibilty of stopping for dinner, hitting a Target for something you forgot to pack ,etc.). We haev also used Tiffany Town Car and had a private town car which was quick and easy and well run.
They cost $90 for a one way trip to Coco Beach from MCO and their website ishttp://www.tiffanytowncars.com/tc_rates.html
(also used happy limo once which most people love, our driver got lost--very odd experience over all).

Ok I seem to have come back on this cruise too late to contribute to any of the existing group efforts. So I have been trying to think of a way I can contribute and I think I may have sometihing. Feel free to pooh pooh it, but I was thinking we need a way on board to communicate with each other. I can make errasable marker boards that we could post on some doors - I was thinking one for each floor. If people wanted to drop off postings to me even, I would be willing to run around and post at the designated doors. Is this a good idea or not? Please feel free to brain storm this idea and refine as necessary!

We got some really neat erasable white boards last time we cruise with Disney. I plan to have one up on my door, you can write me as amny notes as nessary......or not necessary:wizard:

April 4, 2006: I booked this cruise for DH, myself and DD3.
November 2006: I cancelled this cruise - DH must attend a conference May 20-25 :sad1:
April 4, 2007: I just rebooked the cruise!!!!!
DH is still going to his conference, but I am bringing DD3, DD11, and DD13 instead!

With the latest price drop, I just couldn't resist. I even got FF tickets for our air    I've spent the last couple of days lining up flights, hotels in Florida and Barecelona, and a rental car. I can't believe I am actually going to be on this cruise after all!!!!!

Anna

Hi everyone!
Debbie, congrats on the 5000th posting!

We have not received our "surprise" in the mail yet either, but we are on the west coast, so I am not giving up hope yet....

You are all getting so much more done than me...I was considering even using our previous door signs for this cruise too, but if everyone is putting so much work into it, then maybe I should put a little extra effort. I just do not know how to do graphics that well....
I have not started packing, am not done with all of my trip bookings, I think this last month will go by faster than I thought.

ANNA! you did a great job! You and your kids will have such a good time! There'll be lots of Dis Friends to hang out with!

HI Anna,
party:
I was not in on this cruise when you canceled, (just signed up for it myself about a month ago with the great TA rates) so I still consider myself a newbie, but would love to welcome you back anyway! I can't wait!

I forgot to mention the 14 daily signs (and their coordinating scrapbook items) are in a folder in a THREE RING BINDER along with passport copies (DCL has had ours for years and we did in put them online anyway Debbie), rental car coupon, etc.. Chris you can tell Robert he is having an effect:rotfl:

Oy. :scared: You AND wrabitdad? You're only going to encourage him. This is just an advance warning. ;) He LOVES showing off his organizational skills.

Really though, glad you jumped on the bandwagon after all! We're also planning a "sign a day", and Rob has proudly started placing them in their respective slots of the file folder. :rotfl:

Will check out the Ebay link now for fish extenders, since we had no luck at the dollar store either.

Debbie--awesome on getting that 5000th post! Now who's going for 10,000?

Anna

My DD Hannah will be glad to here there is another 11 YO coming.

I think the boat will have a shortage of kids this trip.

If some of us want to contribute a few dollars. Staples has a Brother 2040 laser printer for $89. It comes with a 1500 page starter cartridge and prints 20 pages per minute. Add a couple reams of paper. If a few others wanted to partner up with me (typist preferred). Then we could print up our very own one page DIS Group Navigator and maybe some of the kids would volunteer to be paper boys and girls each morning before breakfast.

After the cruise we could leave it with a crew member for the staff to use.

OK, I said it was a dumb idea. Move along folks... nothing to see here.

dreaming here too!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: last year my friends wer on the wonder for POC2 and they got pins (typical round ones not like reg disney pins) and stickers....

Ah Johnny would be nicer!

Only if he brings Ms. Knightley with him....

I think we could allow that maybe!

Blah! Johnny? No!
WE WANT ORLANDO (and I don't mean the city...although I adore that, too!! :lmao: ) !!!!!!
:tigger:
Erik

Well he can come too

I agree! But as 2nd choice Johnny will do.

Hey noone gets him as second choice.

Orlando or Johnny??? Hmmmm. Can I have both? :rolleyes1

Oh good point

I can't *share* Orlando and Johnny! They'd just be too tired after me. Let's give the boys a break.;) LOL

lol :rotfl2:

I'm casting my vote for Johnny (but I'd take Orlando also). But, not as Jack Sparrowpirate: , it is his character in Don Jaun DeMarco that I dream about

No as Jack! pirate:
