Also, we have been checking the Disney website for information on pins or other events that they might have on this or other Med cruises and there is nothing!?!?!:confused3

On the Panama cruises they had pins and other items to buy. So far for this one, nada....hmmm...maybe DCL won't have anything for us to spend our refunds on!?!??!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: I do know that there will be some....... and enough of them I am sure. But I REALLY wanted to sleep in the atrium again:

I had originally posted that my travel agent said I would lose my Cat 9 room if I wanted the credit. After checking the board this afternoon and seeing some of you had luck in getting the credit and keeping your room, I called again, and sure enough, my credit card will have a $200 refund and I will stay in my same room!! This just keeps getting better!! Thanks, as always, for posting this info, I would have never called back:yay:

I just booked it as a solo. I bought some extra miles from Continental to get me home. I needed 100,000 for the one-way from Barcelona to San Diego (they charge you double for the one-way) and I had 87,000. So here is what I'm paying for the 14 night cruise plus airfare:

$1398.86 <-cruise
$ 159.80 <-one-way ticket on United from San Diego to Orlando (May 11)
$ 447.07 <-purchased miles for airfare from Barcelona to San Diego (May 26)
--------
$2005.73 TOTAL (plus tips and excursions)

I can't believe it. Now I have to figure out how to catch up with all the planning.

I still need to get a hotel room in Orlando. I'll probably rent a car to drop off at the port so that I can attend the wine and cheese party.

Someone please tell me what I should be doing now because I'm so excited that I can't think. :yay:

YAY!!!  I will add you back to the roster!! When you get your room just let me know :) Check with Disney for one of the value resorts, I really think that they had some discounts in May.
Debbie

My Budget rental to drop off at the port was only $35. I'm going to check into that first. If I can still get that rate or something close, that will be my initial plan. Thanks for the suggestions though.

gydell - how much is the Nick hotel? I really need to think low budget for this trip.

It runs around $250 a night. It's more than I wanted to pay but.....it's for the DGS!

Hi TXAGGIE94GIGEM

I have been trying to answer you on the number of bracelets, but can't seem to post it right. I'm new to this and was having a difficult time. We will need 3 adult braclets. I am soooo excited. We were on the Sept. 2006 11nt carribbean cruise and it was just great.
Thanks again
Martha

.......Debbie

I recognize some of those folks.
I did not choose to join the party.:lmao:
Got up the next morning and walked to the end of the line and kept saying "I don't believe this"!:rotfl2:
Nope, did not get the pins.:sad1:

You could stay on site at Movies for around $94.92 a night (with tax). POP was slightly cheaper at $94.50 a night (with tax).

So you know,

Lori

Finally received our "gift" from dcl in todays mail. Very cool, now just need to find something magnetic in my house.

Anyone else staying at the Residence Inn at The Cape the night before? Last time we met some of our fellow cruisers the day before.

Is it a rainy day down on the cape today too (we are up in the Lakes Region, NH)?

Cool, damp and windy on the Cape. Typical Cape Cod spring sunshine. :lmao: :lmao:

SandyNeck - Are you right on the Neck, how far from the lighthouse?? We're in Marstons Mills. :wave2: :wave2:

We thought we were the only Disney addicts on the Cape. Friends and co-workers just don't understand. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh you are definately not alone! I actually have another friend on the Cape and another that lives in New Hampshire, but grew up on the Cape!

Must be in the water :cool2:

BTW, I leave Barcelona at 10:55 am and arrive in San Diego at 8:41pm with a 3 1/2 hour layover in Newark.

welcome back!!! i am glad the price is dropping so all of us who were originally on this cruise can come back!!!!

it's taken care of! see you on the ship! :thumbsup2

now i'm just waiting to hear from my TA......:surfweb: ...do you think she will call me anytime soon? :rotfl2:

Yes, you don't have to tip any extra in Palo's, just be aware that they don't get the $10 per person, they only get about $2 out of the $10.

I'm hesitant posting this because I'm not trying to to start an argument. I want us to be friends on the cruise....:)

Palos is modeled after Disney Signature restaurants such as the California Grill and Citricos. $40-50 plus drinks per person.

The idea that Disney calculates the value of a Palos dinner including appetizer and desert at $13.33 ($2 tip) is simply incorrect.

The best sources I could find said specifically that the $10 charge went directly to the serving staff (Passporter.com Guide Books) and was handled this way because of the difficulty passengers would have trying to estimate a value for their meal.

For a table of 3 = $30 which would be 15% of a $200 check

$200 for 3 persons is pretty close to the mark I think.

The reason I tip more is that we do not drink and I know that servers rely on this for part of their income so I always add something.

What's the deal with High School Musical on Ice?

I was online at 10am sharp, and the best available were the $26 seats ($40 were the best) We got row T on the lower level towards the end of the ice. (basically behind the goalie) I never saw it advertised and supposedly there are 3 other performaces but only 1 shows up on Ticketmaster. Plus, we only got 2 tickets, so it wasn't like I needed 8.:confused3

My only guess is that since we are in Orlando, they are holding back a lot of tickets for Disney giveaways, RadioDisney giveaways, and Year of a Million Dream giveaways....:confused3 :confused3

Jennifer,

There was a presale that started on Sunday 18 March. I was online at 10:00am sharp on the 18th and got 6 front row seats for my neighbor for 29 September in Hampton, VA. I then was online at 1:00pm sharp (10:00am Pacific time) to get front row seats for my family on 12 October in San Diego.

Kathy

actually she emailed me an hour ago!!! :surfweb: she got everything done and i am $200 richer...so i booked another excursion!

is anyone going to seville on the excursion for 9 hours...we are going to do that one!!!

Ok, now I get it! I knew it was popular, but I didn't think it would sell out that fast! Now I know why there wasn't much left!

Who is willing to make me a Fish Extender or can find one for me?
I can't sew and can't begin to know where I could find one...

If anyone is making one for themselves, just let me know how much $$ to send and you can make one for me!!! please???;) :rotfl2:

I could try to make you one, but I need to find some Disney patterned fabric, or something to make it look disneyish! Mine is lime green with mickey mouse on each pocket.

Hoagie Pie and her family are going to Seville - are your children going too? We are excited!

Susie--we are staying at the Buena Vista Suites as recomended by Mary at www.mousesavers.com. If you use the mousesavers code it is $99 a night (that is with tax included) and includes a hot breakfast.

Hadley
Is this one of the downtown Disney resorts? That would be convenient to OKW.

That's not a bad option either.

Thanks to everyone for all the "welcome back"s and suggestions. I just reserved my rental car. Neither Budget or Avis had any availability for dropping at the port, but I got one from Hertz for $45. They have a free shuttle to the port also.

We can add this to the list of Banner BBQ activities. We have a sewing machine and others could bring theirs? Just a thought.

And I don't even know what a Fish extender is....
