I watched Samantha Brown in Barcelona. I can't believe we will be there soon!!!!

POTC 3 would be soooo cool to see on the Dumbotron or in the Walt Disney Theater. There has to be some way to be able to see it.

Now, would Pirate night then be at Gibraltar? I do not have my schedule in front of me, but that would sound right. And if not, no fireworks :(

I did an update to the roster tonight. Added a few new people, some new pictures and updated the Deck Plans. I sure wish I knew how to make them bigger and still be able to read it.

Still lots of things to do! Hope everyone had a good weekend

Debbie

:( Oh well... then no fireworks. It is still an awesome show! And it would not have been Gibraltar... it would have been Tenerife ;)

Deb

WHAT?! They don't do fireworks if it's a day at sea? I thought that they did when we were on our last 4 night. That stinks! We loved the show and the fireworks were rockin'!

:tigger:

Hey guys, tonight on the Travel Channel they are running what looks like a new show "Cruising do's and don'ts"

I think I've seen that show before. I was watching HGTV hoping to win the Dream Home! no luck there!

I seem to recall that the ship needs to be near a port if they are doing fireworks. I am sure Linda (seaulater) has the 411 on this.

I though they did fireworks if you were at sea.

But I am not sure they would like to carry that amount of pyrotechnics across the ocean for that many days. And I am not really sure that I would like them blowing off fireworks that far away from land!;)

I will be pleasantly surprised if they do! It would be wonderful

Debbie

can anyone tell me when samantha brown in barcelona will be on again????

We agree . The rainforest is one of the best things to do. My daughter, a friend and myself will be on the May Med Repo and were just so excited. We were on the Sept 17, 2007 cruise and that's where we learned about the Disboard and all you great fun loving people.

We are fly back from Barcelona on May 27, 2007 at 9:50am on Swiss Air the one way fare was $386.76 and we only booked this last week. If we were to leave on the 26th the fare was around $800. so instead we are going to stay overnight in Barcelona and leave early the next morning. I did my air through Expedia.

I went to check the website, and it did not even list todays showing :confused3

But you can read about it here: Samantha Brown guide
Debbie

Did anyone notice what the tourists in the backrounds of all the cities Samantha Browh visited wore? It sure looked like jeans, shorts, tank tops and t-shirts to me. :happytv:

Samantha was wearing capri's and little skinny tops most of the time. I think anything we wear will be just fine, except maybe going into the churches and cathedrals, just make sure you have a cover up if you have a belly-exposing tank. My friend from England had to dig out a t shirt for his teenage daughter in France recently. Her belly was showing!
Also, I think our Disney t-shirts will fit in just fine! We'll be the envy of all the Italians and Spanish people who want to come to WDW!::MickeyMo

OH, and my son finally got home from NewarK! He was supposed to arrive Friday afternoon, and he got here TODAY at about 3pm!!!! He was on the plane last night ready to take off at about 1:30am, and then they cancelled, so everyone on their way to Orlando had to sit around in the aiirport, since no hotels were offered, and they were all full anyway. How would you like to be on your way to WDW vacation with a couple of little kids and having that happen! I would be livid!

Hi All, just back from a long weekend in Solvang. Bought a couple of bottles of wine to bring with us. I did manage to TIVO Sam Brown's Barcelona episode. Makes me wish we were spending a couple of days there. I really want to go see Casa Batlló (Bone House) but don't know if we will have time. Oh well, gives us an excuse to go back!!!

Has anyone gotten their airfare info by mail or online yet? I checked at 9pm PDT and nothing. Hoping it will be there in the morning.

Good night and pleasant dreams all!!

Laura

I agree completely...I think they WILL let us see it a little early...and I imagine there will be multiple shows, too.....Jason had an idea that made some sense....he suggested that it might be the designated show in the Walt Disney Theater where the stage shows happen. That way they have it showing twice and scheduled in such a way as to accomodate everyone in conjunction with their dinner rotation (the way they do the shows). Regardless of how they do it...I'm sure it will be a very popular event!!

Erik

Obviously none of us can say for sure, but since a few people have gotten the same (or nearly the same) info, it seems pretty accurate.

As for POC, it wouldn't surprise me if they show it in the Walt Disney Theatre. On our first 7 night, Narnia had just opened the week before, and they made a big deal about the fact that it was playing onboard, and there were a couple of showings in the Walt Disney theatre, as well as a a few in the real movie theatre, the Buena Vista. popcorn::

Oh--and Hadley, yes, I'm still here, and I'm DEFINITELY still going!!!! Just been working a lot, and every day trying to catch up with all the posts. I'll try to drop my two cents in more often!
