Eric, did you rent the Incredibles for this snowy weekend? I have a funny little surprise for you and Jason on the boat, so I want you to know the characters. Plus, you didn't know Edna Mode and I think you'll love her! See my new picture tag?

We've seen the incredibles...I just didn't know the character(s) by name. But we're familiar with the story and what each of their powers are and everything....do we need to be more familiar than that?

(And no we didn't rent anything....I'm morally opposed to leaving the house when it snows....it's my own form of protest against Mother Nature!:rotfl: )

:tigger:
Erik

p.s. And by the way....all you people who are able to come up with surprises make me so jealous.....I've been so busy that I can barely muster up the time and energy to pack our own things...and I haven't even STARTED thinking about if we can decorate our OWN door...much less gifts for everyone else! :sad2: I'm a bad DisBoarder!!! :goodvibes

The gifts for everyone else are the easy part..check out orientaltrading.com

UGh, yesh, rush hour traffic heading into Orlando on a Friday night is horrible. I would definately grab a bite to eat first, relax a bit and then head out.

I think from people's responses, we will just come into MCO later on Friday instead, stay at the airport Hyatt and then head down to the port Saturday morning....it was traffic free when we did that last time in November. Thanks everyone!

For the 7 day I think it is about $75, I don't remember. It wouldn't surprise me if they just kept it that price to encourage more people to buy it, but perhaps people from the last repo would have more accurate info.
!
the only "excursion" my hubby wants is The Rainforest the whole time we are on the ship, he loves it!

The Planetarium is a Kewl idea. Our Lat and Long at mid point should be about N 33 58.217 and W 042 02.268, give or take a little. (Debbie quit laughing) That is what I haev in my GPS for an aprox mid way point.

Here is a pretty good like to print out a sky chart http://www.fourmilab.ch/yoursky/#Skymap

I your planetarium prints out a chart that would be Kewl. If so could I get a copy?

All you folks in NE, sorry about your turn in the weather, stay safe and warm.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Happy St. Patty's day!!!

For all you locals who love Off Kilter, they are gonna be in my neighborhood (literally) tonight. from 5-9pm. Come join us!!!

  I wish I could have been there   I went to the St Patricks Day parade here in Cleveland. Great pipe bands... but just not the same.

OH! I sure wish we could have been there! Chuck didn't want to try to deal with two of us in wheelchairs! I wonder why not? I'll bet it was a lot of fun! :rockband: :dancer: :drinking1

OK, I am back again with more questions...LOL
Since I joined this cruise so late, I never received a planning packet or anything like that so I feel pretty lost. I have went and read alot of the previous pages, but am still a little overwhelmed.
Does anyone happen to know when Pirate night is? I saw when the formal and semi formal nights were, but did not catch Pirate night.

Also, does anyone have any idea from the other Repo cruise in 2005 if they are adding additional shows? The 3 main ones just don't seem enough for 14 nights....or do they fill them in with other things? Do they have additional entertainers for the family and adult cabaret shows for all those nights? Do they have extra activities planned for the extra sea days? Any other info in the planning packet that I am missing out on? Thanks for any input!
Michelle

do you ever worry about REAL pirates nowadays...esp if we are all alne in the atlantic???

Hope the weather has improved for you NE folks.

Welcome Aboard Mickey Squared. Do like Debbie says.

Thanks for the sailing away DIS gift reminder, too much going on, will have to remind Lynn.

Also, Whilst cleaning up and organizing this morn, I found some maps. They were for Spain, France, and GB. I got them at AAA. So if you are a member it might be worth it for ya.

Okay cathching up with all moy posts here:

Mickeysquared--WELCOME!!!

Scott--Thanks for the lat. and long. info. We will go begging at the PLanetarium this week (and every week until we hit one without many (maybe any) other people there and a worker who is willing (it has happened before I hope it happens agian). If they can print me any star charts I will bring copies for all.:)

Erik--Thanks for demystifying the crossing the Atlantic fear for me. The pool/lake anology was a good one. We are still all just EXCITED but at least now I know what is worrying others.

Scoobypop--It was nice to see another post from you this wekend. I hadn't seen anything in a while and was wondering if you had decided not to join us (maube I just missed a few--quite possible). We are still so happy you thought to ask Keyon if he was planning on being on this trip. I hope his plans haven't changed.

Michelle2--I had hoped to have many questions answered when the welcome packet came. Ours arrived a few weeks ago and you are not mising much! It is fun to have somehting you can hold in your hands but contains almost no real info. I don't belive anyone has tracekd down WHEN pirate night is yet (just happy to know there is one at this point). I wasn't on the previous repos, but I did read the navigators online--it seems like they made sure they filled the days. It is my undertsanding they were a bit ill prepared at first on the WB but got their act together quickly and were well prepared by the EB.

www.castawayclub.com

The above website has all the navigators for the EB repo as well as some from the special 10 and 11 night cruises to give you an idea of what will be offered.

I agree, thnigs will be fine! I always get freaked out by movies, even if they don't have a chance in heck happening. (Like Night of the Living Dead, for example....I always wonder, what if??? and then get freaked out. :lmao: )

I have a question for Floridians....If I fly into to the Tampa airport (flight times, connection and price are much better than MCO at this point) on Friday, and the arrival time is 4:10pm, will the traffic be bad if I drive there straight to the port that evening???

Is there rush hour traffic on that route? I guess by the time we got our bags and rental car, we would be heading out of Tampa at about 5:00pm. That would put us going into Orlando at about 6:00 or so? Maybe if we ate dinner in Tampa first, so that we headed out at 6 instead of 5?

DH has to work in Clearwater a fewt times a month. If he doesn't finish by 2pm, he waits until after dinner to leave. The drive from Tampa into Orlando stinks.. especially with the construction that never seems to end..

I was just telling David about wondering which night will be the Pirate night. He said perhaps they'll do the party on formal night so we can all wear our formal pirate garb:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I'm sticking with my theory that Pirate Night, while not yet officially announced, will be either very early in the trip...maybe even Castaway Cay night (since it's a "Pirates in the Caribbean" party....and that night we'll actually be IN the Caribbean PLUS isn't the ship from the movie still parked in the harbor at Castaway Cay....seems like there might be a logical connection for that night).....OR that it will be late in the trip to coincide with the release of the 3rd film which we will hopefully get to preview aboard the ship.

I'm also still stalking my T.A. for updates constantly to see if she ever hears! :)

:tigger:
Erik

DCL just told me that Pirate night was set for May 18th. It took the CM some time to find it but she said that is when it is set for. She reconfirmed formal night is May 14th with Captains on the 19th and semi-formal on the 24th. Hope she knows what she is talking about!
