May 11th 2008 ~ Any Double Dippers Out There?

Lucky you, I dont even have the it booked yet!
I almost purchased POTC shirts tonight at the disney store for a cruise I have not even book yet.:lmao:
Is the pirate night the same on the 4 night as to the 7 night?

So true! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to find out... :cloud9:

You know Karen, I had assumed that you were booking at 90 days out, but did I assume wrong? Do we have our own concierge-level mole on the inside who can fill us in at 105 days instead of begging DCL for brunch info? Say it is so! And if not, can we convince you to take one for the team and upgrade to one of the upper cats just so we can find out this info 15 days quicker?

Is the pirate night the same on the 4 night as to the 7 night?

My TA swore to me that it would still be on Tuesday (3rd) night.

So if the Toy Story Musical is replacing Hercules, I wonder if we can safely assume it will take place on the 2nd night?

I'm on 90 days too, Brandi - DD and I are in a Cat 7 on Deck 7 and looking forward to trying that Navigator's Verandah... :cloud9: :goodvibes

Then we can tap our nails in sync :thumbsup2

So close you guys! Before too long I'm going to have to start my "cruise" bag just to keep track of all the little things I've purchased in preparation. Hmmmm...I wonder where in the heck I put those disposable underwater cameras I bought. See what I mean? It could end up being like when you find the perfect xmas gift for someone in June, put it away, and 2 years later you stumble across it when looking for your umbrella.

Has anyone ordered photobooks? I checked out a few online and they look really neat. I don't have the creativity or $$$$ to be a dedicated scrapper, so this looks like a great option for me. Thinking about trying it out with the trip photos. Anyone know anything about them? Bueller?

:rolleyes1 Oh yeah!!! I'm tapping, I'm tapping...

Oh my - if only I could stumble over the plethora of wonderful Christmas gifts that lie in a parallel prezzie-prison universe! :rotfl2:

I meant to order one for my DH to commemorate our Wedding Anniversary/Vow Renewal cruise but apart from great intentions and a casual browse, I know nothing... ;)

Today I was on the freeway driving to Super Target to pick up some broccoli and bread (exciting, eh?). The weather was gloomy, drizzly, about 45 degrees, and despite it only being 10:00 a.m. I was stuck in a traffic jam behind an exhaust spewing gravel truck thanks to a lane closure. The heater was making my sinuses clog-up and my sweater started to feel like steel wool.

And then, of all things, "Kokomo" came on the radio, and I just had to smile :cloud9:

"Bodies in the sand
Tropical drink melting in your hand
We'll be falling in love
To the rhythm of a steel drum band"

So close, so very close. :beach:

:woohoo: Congrats!!

That is such a lover-ly picture. I admit that when I read they were putting xmas lights on the castle I thought, "ewwwwwww". I had this image of those gigantic bulbs like we had in the 70's or something that looked like a marquis. Should have known Disney does nothing boring or average (hmmm, well, from what I hear maybe the new ending to SSE :rolleyes1 ). They knocked this one out of the park, and you just captured it beautifully. Wish I'd seen it in person!

Did our tentative tax return yesterday. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet....starting to think bad bad thoughts of ways to spend our return on vacation. Talk me down ladies, talk me down!

Thanx!!! :thumbsup2 It's worth seeing, t'was sooo beautiful - it took my breath away... :cloud9:

Don't look at me to help ya out, Brandi!!! Spending is like breathing as far as I'm concerned - an involuntary and necessary reflex... :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Giving us a bump! Whenever I'm reading the main cruise board, I always look up at the top of my screen and think that our thread has the latest post. But oh no, it's always those darn May 10th people, mocking us with their multi-multi-day repo cruise. They think they're so cool.

One good thing about all this cold weather is that I've been nesting lately. Yesterday I made 3 weeks worth of dinner entrees :thumbsup2 And tomorrow I'm going to try my hand at bread making. Last week I spent a lot of time making quite possibly the most brick-like pizza dough in existence, but I am not giving up, oh no I'm not. I will not be intimidated by yeast (even if it is really fiesty and smelly). At least I learned that while a spinning dough hook is hypnotic, 30 minutes is definitely way too long to mix dough. Stupid Alton Brown, making it sound so easy. Liar! Any uber bakers among us? Have any good bread recipes or tips for the neophyte?

Hope everyone is doing well -- staying warm, healthy and happy :)

We just booked yesterday for the May 11th cruise! I am excited to have two beautiful days at CC- I hear it's a highlight of the trip!

I will be traveling with DH and DS, who will be 3 at the time of sailing (but is still 2). I read somewhere that children must be toilet-trained to enroll in the Oceaneer's Club. We've made a lot of progress... but I'm fearful that DS won't be able to participate in the fun if we're not 100% there... :confused3

Anyone with experience cruising DCL with small children? Will the counselors permit me to enroll DS if I keep checking back to change a diaper/pull-up if necessary?

Thanks! :flower3:

Hi and welcome!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Those two CC stops are all that's keeping me going at the mo...

Sorry can't help you about the Kids Club info - maybe post your question on the main DCL forum and see if you get a reply...

Glad to have you along... :thumbsup2

Welcome Sakkujaan! Oh yes, CC is all that and more :beach: I was pretty skeptical, knowing how they doctor up all those glossy tourism photos, but darned if the place isn't really just that blue and sparkly!

Can't speak for kids, being kidless ourselves (hmmm...I feel like a goat joke is in there somewhere). But like Karen said, I'm certain I've seen just this sort of question on the main cruise boards. Dontcha just love the DIS?

Those two CC stops are all that's keeping me going at the mo...:thumbsup2

Is everything okay Ms. Karen? Need some hugs? :grouphug: Or maybe a..

Everything's fine, thanx, Brandi - tho' I will take the hugs and the blue margaritas... Just feeling a little bored of January, if you know what I mean...

Cannot wait until this cruise! Booked it last April, But this is the first time I found this forum. Pretty cool! My husband & I will be with the kids (12dd, 9dd, 4ds) This cruise will be the best with Mothers day (and my 13th wedding Anniversary), but the double dipping CC takes the cake! We went on the 7day western caribbean in April 07 and the CC day was by far the best!!:tink:

Welcome and congratulations on celebrating your wedding anniversary onboard!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: My DH and I did the Western Caribbean back in September 2007 and celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary - we had a perfect time - tho' would've been better with two CC stops for sure... :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:
