So much information out there
... I downloaded the passporter after pre-ordering the new version, and have been going through the boards to learn what I can. There is just soooo much information out there. I like to relax on vacation, but hate to feel like I've missed something. Which means lots of research so we'll be informed, while still leaving some things open to whatever strikes us (other than things like Palo and the excursion that was important to us).
At first I thought the next two months would be so slow to wait for, but I'm realizing a lot of time is going to be spent getting prepared. We're also spending a few days at WDW afterwards, so there's that to think about as well.
I guess all this effort is for a good cause.

My name is Heather. I am a long time lucker on this thread. My DH ( Tim ) and I will also be on this sailing. We are sailing by ourselves without the kids for the first time ever! We have never been away alone ( we did not even get a honeymoon!!!! ) We are so excited to be getting a well needed alone time!!!! We will be flying into FL on Friday and staying at the Radisson at the port. We will be flying back to Maryland on Fri. the 16th. We lan to spend a little time in WDW before the cruise. We can not wait to enjoy the adult only areas of the cruise. This will be our 3rd

Maybe we'll manage to get reservations on board. I've also been reading about children moving to the next age group depending on interest, ability, personality. Maybe my 2.5 year old will be able to move into the youth group instead of having to be in the nursery. He is quite verbal and used to playing with his 4.5 year old brother. Whenever we watch the DVD, he is most excited by the pictures of the children running through the tunnels, making crafts, etc. According to the experience of others, it seems the hard and fast rule about a child needing to be within a month of their birthday to move up is not such a hard and fast rule. LOL It seems to be more a matter of the child, the space available in that age group, and the youth program CMs. I'll be crossing my fingers and saying a daily prayer. LOL Of course, if we can't get him fully potty trained, it won't matter, because he'll only be allowed in the nursery anyway.

Actually, that's a bit mean - I'm looking forward to time away from one of my dogs! I have a deaf Dalmatian who's getting crankier as time goes by so she's off to kennels soon for her "vacation"...
I was also unable to book the babysitting for our little guy, but I'm still hoping we'll be able to move him into the youth program. Please say a quick prayer for the potty training. LOL
I know how horrible that is - we had two boxers in succession (different breeders, different sexes, different colours) who both died young from congenital heart failure. It took me a while to get over that...
